Best breakfast tacos anywhere, in my opinion. They are really generous wtih the eggs and such, so the tacos are just bursting with yummy things! I usually get one potato and egg and one bacon and egg, with a side of shredded cheese that I use to put a little cheese on each taco. Today I felt like some lunch, so I got their flautas plate with a grapefruit soda, and really enjoyed it! Not the best ever for their lunch/dinner items, but always a solid bet. Customer service is always so-so for me. I think maybe I just rub some of the ladies that work there the wrong way, although I always smile, say please/thank you, and try to be polite and friendly. Awesome food! Simple, non fussy and unpretentious! I tried the street tacos with fajita chicken. My friend got the veggie quesadilla which had spinach and mushrooms and not just onions and peppers. Everything was tasty...we loved their salsa verde. It's a small space and was very busy during lunch but their service is fast and efficient. This is my top favorite Mexican place in las colinas!! Sometimes I eat there twice in a day. They have awesome breakfast tacos, my favorite are chorizo with potato a la mexicana with no egg! Their quesadillas are awesome and their salsa is on point. It is a small family run business and they just recently moved a few doors down to a larger location with more tables. Found this place through Yelp, the other 5 star ratings were absolutely spot on. Great ambiance. Authentic food and really good service. We've been a few times and everything we've tried, we love. The beef enchiladas (the beef is a steak on the side of cheese enchiladas) well seasoned and great portions for the price. The chile rellano is so so good. And their street tacos are slammin. I like the barbacoa more than the pastor both were tasty but the barbacoa was moist and delicious. Coming from the western part of the country this is the closest I've gotten to the Mexican food I'm used to. Not so much Tex-Mex which is a plus for me. read more

This is my go to spot for tacos. I usually get it once every week or 2 and the tacos are spot on. If you're craving tacos or in the mood - def recommend this place. I've had a couple things on their menu past the tacos including the enchiladas and dessert. Their enchiladas are pretty great - including the chicken and cheese options. I met one of my friends here for lunch on a Thursday around 1:15. It's a very small taco shop with a rather inexpensive menu. It's a little odd to me that they have flour tortillas priced much higher than corn tortillas, but that's the beauty of capitalism! I got two barbacoa tacos on corn tortillas (because I'm poor) and a bottle of water (because they can't get a cup of water for free). They were pretty good tacos, and while they were a good value for the price, they were not my favorite in the world. They gave us a free half-basket of chips and provided several salsas and sauces. They were too spicy for me, but I'm also a wimp (yes, a poor wimp). This is exactly what I was craving. Tacomex is a no-frills food-first taco joint. It was National taco day and I had been wanting to try them for a while, so I stopped in around 5:15 PM and placed a takeout order in store. The food was ready in less than 5 minutes and was still warm by the time I finally ate it about an hour later. And of course you cant beat these prices. The tacos have a lot of flavor by themselves but the salsas are also delicious, with the spicy one packing a lot of heat. I got the barbacoa, pollo ranchero and carne asada.
