We decided to give this place a try because.. well... what a great name. The margarita flight was pretty costly and the portion was an ok size for Mexican. Overall the vibe was fun and the service was good. For us this place is too expensive for Mexican and margaritas with all the choices in the area. We likely will not return. read more

An interesting visit. Food was good and different . . . the same, but different. The popular and quite delicious Molcajete served our table of four along with a couple tacos and very average chimichanga appetizer that we could have passed on. Their menu is a spectacular artistic way of displaying their offerings. Inside decor was very sports bar-ish. Music was very audible and of a decent genre. Mostly a younger generation or two behind us. Millennials Zs and Xs, yet a few Boomers too. Oh, did I mention they have a full bar. First round of drinks took some time to come out but the service was pretty on point except the "clean plates" that were dropped off at our table were wet and still had wet food on them; like they never made it all the way through the dishwasher. GROSS Otherwise, some decent food and a 'now' larger floor with different lighting fixtures and walls, all since they recently expanded into the next suit over. Still looks good though. For starters, the staff was amazing, Jaylene was so sweet, she was on top of things and gave us the best recommendations. Gustavo, the manager, superb! I watched him go around the restaurant making sure everyone was satisfied and even gave us a small back story on one of the drinks he concocted for the restaurant. Anything you order you can't go wrong. We tried almost every drink on their drink menu and everything was insanely tasty. The vibe was just where we wanted it to be, you go inside and it's packed, everyone's having a great time, the music ON POINT, fajitas sizzling from right to left, colorful drinks sprinkled around the tables and those beautiful Smokey drinks omg! Such an inviting space and I will be coming back everytime I'm come to town. This place looks like it's always busy so get there early. read more

One word review: Underwhelming. I was expecting great things. Fish tacos are made with funky foreign fish (thank God we looked it up before ordering). Tacos and salsa were average to below average - came on "taco Tuesday" - not impressed. This is definitely a culinary gem in Menifee! From the food, service staff and ambiance... this place is a must try! Everything is cooked to perfection, flavorful and made from scratch. My top must try dishes are the queso fundido with chorizo and a side of homemade tortillas. The blend of different Mexican cheeses is phenomenal! The next one is the guacamole con chicharron de ribeye. The ribeye is delicious and crunchy. And if you're into seafood, the torre de mariscos is fresh and d paired with homemade tostadas. This place was so good! We've been wanting to come check it out since it opened. The vibe was chill. People kept coming in; some were coming in to sit at the bar and others at the regular tables. There were about 3 TVs mounted with sports playing. The decor was cool. It wasn't too big inside, but it looks like they're currently expanding next door. It's in the shopping center where the Sprouts is located. The hostess sat us down right away. Our waitress then came to take our drink orders. We had water, orange juice and a Margarita Flight. The margaritas tasted like Mango, Cucumber, Strawberry and Traditional. I started feeling it by the time I was finishing the 3rd one, but I finished all 4... didn't want any tequila to go to waste! We split the shrimp cocktail that had some octopus and avocado mixed in. We enjoyed it with saltine crackers. It was simply delicious! I tried the tacos and they were amazing served with homemade tortillas. I totally wanted more! My girls each had the kids soft taco and they ate it up. My hubby had a burrito and he took half home for later. Overall it was $95, plus a tip. Our waitress was attentive. She brought us more chips when we were getting low. Both salsas were awesome and just enough. The music sounded like it was straight from one of my playlists, so we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. People kept coming in, so there's definitely great food. This was our first time here. Wifey wanted some tacos for Cinco de Mayo and she found this spot and what a great find. Not too far for the house was even better. We arrived at the right time because it wasn't that busy. But as soon as we were seated, the peeps started gathering for that dinner hour. They actually had a live DJ for the day to happy in the celebration and he was tearing it up! He play a good mix of ole skol, pop, and Mexican music I enjoyed the ole skol and Mexican music a whole lot better than the pop Wifey was so jazzed that she stated she wanted to host her next birthday party there, until she found out the DJ was only there on certain holidays Our server was awesome! Sorry I didn't remember her name to give her personal shot out. However, this is too all those that were serving, you guys were on it! I'm a people watcher and customer service is my specialty. Stopped in while visiting from out of town. All I can say is wow, we will definitely be back! Staff was incredibly courteous and quick to get us seated after a short wait. Restaurant is well kept, clean and definitely a great cantina vibe with music and sports playing on several TV's around. Ordered the Old Fashioned and it arrived smoked at the table. Love love love! This restaurant is about 5 minutes from our house and we feel so lucky! The margaritas are excellent and they really take pride in the presentation of the drinks. We've been a few times, but I really felt compelled to write a review this time because the entire experience was perfection. Shout out to our waitress, McKenna, who is an absolute angel. She was so attentive, especially with our young children, and just had one of those rare, genuinely kind spirits. We loved her! The surf n turf quesadilla was amazing and is my new favorite dish. Had very great service when i came to visit here. The ladies were very attentive, especially for having a full restaurant to service. Downside is the size, i would say. If you want to get burned and taken care of by a waitstaff that doesn't care at all this is the place to go! Avoid this place like the plague, never eat here! My wife, my mother and I went to dinner and we had been there ages ago and wanted to check it out again. The inside is great environmentally, really sets the scene. We ordered a margarita flight and a drink and placed our order, and our server was great... until Victoria, the gal with the bow, delivered our food and poured some of the liquid from my enchiladas on my sweatshirt and my hand. I gasped loudly shouting it burns, while Victoria showed no emotion and placed my food on the table. Never even asked if was okay, showed no concern in fact she even seemed annoyed at the whole thing. I begged for some ice quick as my right wrist was on fire from the burning hot liquid, and she slowly walked away. A whole minute later she made her way back and brought some ice cubes in a napkin and walked away like it was nothing. We asked for a manager, and we met Gustavo. I explained what happened while still wrapping my hand in ice. He said wow that's awful. He proceeded to tell me he can give me a discount, no I hope you are okay or anything. I explained she had burned my hand and didn't even care or concern. Then he realized the situation and said he'd comp my food only and finally after explaining how she burned my hand and it was in pain he finally goes oh do you need medical attention? I explained with ice I should be okay but I will him know and he goes well okay then, want me to remake your food cause it could be cold. He barely made eye contact and didn't look to be paying attention. It's Just amazing how little he cares as much as Victoria about my well being when she caused my burn. He ended up remaking my food and gave me a 40 dollar discount, and when he brought me my food he had the gall to say, "I can only imagine how that must have hurt". Do not eat here ever, they are heartless and do not care if they physically injure you in anyway. And if they do they might even ask eventually if you need help and give you a discount on your meal. Just shocking. This place deserved to be sued into bankruptcy. read more

My wife and I ditched our kids and came here for a date night. The service was amazing, and the vibe was excellent. Sublime, Steve Miller Band, etc playing in the background was great. All the food we ordered was amazing and fresh. Margarita flights were an 8/10 (could be stronger) but the expresso martini was fire. It will definitely burn my wife's underwear off tonight. Ordered the pineapple margarita it came in a small glass and they charge $19 it also barely had liquor in it. Ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas. The food came in had more vegetables than chicken and shrimp which cost $27. Don't mind paying the price if it's worth it. read more

This is a cute little spot in Menifee and it was my first time here. The staff is incredibly friendly and we were seated almost instantly. The chips and salsa were brought out immediately and their pink paradise martini is absolutely delicious. As far as the food goes, we decided to order La Tablita which was so good. It came with grilled steak, grilled chicken, carnitas along with rice, beans, and guacamole. To be honest, even though it said it serves two, it serves much more than two. The food is awesome. I had their chicken burrito and it was delicious as well as their carne asada tacos. Very flavorful. My husband had their Baja fish tacos and he really enjoyed them. While I was waiting for my takeout, I ordered their Cadillac margarita. It was fabulous. The service was excellent. The server was great. She had a great attitude and was very accommodating to my needs. Very professional and friendly. The ambiance was great. Beautiful restaurant. The only problem I had was the bar. The bartender was not responsive. I had to wait 10 minutes to order my drink even though they were not crowded. They need to employ more efficient employees to be quicker with their drinks to meet the customers needs. Otherwise, I highly recommend Tacos and Tequila for their delicious food. read more

I was so bombarded by the pretty menu full of pictures I didn't know what to reside with my order. I wanted fish tacos but I was told they use tilapia and I don't eat tilapia. So after much looking around I decided on the non spicy shrimp tacos. Since I wasn't too hungry I ordered one. Sorry I didn't take a picture because there wasn't much to show f there was a picture. My taco had bell peppers, cheese, diced shrimp and probably something else. It looked like a pressed taco kinda like a quesadilla. I thought it was ok kinda bland. My taco was $7. I had a cup of coffee and it was the strongest coffee I ever had. My friend said it was probably Mexican coffee. I kept adding coffee creamer. The atmosphere was nice and open. When I walked in it felt nice and inviting. Waitress was great. I will come back to try their other stuff. read more

Tacos & Tequila is a fabulous addition to the ever growing foodie scene in Menifee. We came here during their " soft opening" week and left very impressed. Keep in mind, they're still working out the kinks, or this would have been a Five Star review. We came around five-thirty and were lucky enough to score the last table before it got crowded. There was no one taking names and when they did, they were sometimes not called in order. Also, we had several different servers who weren't sure who's table we were. Fortunately, we weren't in a rush. Okay, since the food here is mostly amazing, we would highly recommend putting up with the opening week jiggers to score some tasty grub and mouth watering drinks. The bartender/ mixologist and chief party maker is Gabriel. He comes around, pours your some tequila shoots and is just a fun loving, all round great guy. As he says, "we just want families to come here, when the parents are tired and thirsty; and their kids are hungry and everyone wants to relax." I'll vote for that!! As I said, the food is delicious. HEYYYYYYY!!!!! I knew this place was comin' up, and saw they posted on the gram that they're now open so you know me!! Here to support and try out the latest and greatest. In a nutshell, you MUST GO. Late for the gym so I'll update later with more pics, but GOOOOOO!!!! Great staff with yummy Mexican fare and a fancy flaire!! You will not be disappointed. A definite and solid 5 stars for me! =) **************************************** Full review continued: I arrived at around 7:25pm for my first visit and as soon as I walked through the doors, was greeted by one of the servers. Good vibes from there going forward. I sat at the bar, and ordered a Chamango, a Taco Governador and the Baja Fish Taco. Chris made my drink and engaged in pleasant conversation. My food took about 12 minutes to come out, but the place was pretty crowded so it was a reasonable wait, and so worth it! The Chamango was just my style: a slushy type drink with little chunks of mango in it. It was not strong on the alcohol which I liked. I do like some of my drinks heavy on the alchi, but this one is perfect as it comes. My only suggestion for this would be for them to serve it with a wider straw, as the mango chunks couldn't fit through the regular straw. You could also just do what I did and drink it from the glass so you get all the Tajin/Chamoy goodness off the rim! Yummm!! On to the tacos...I was heading back to the gym, so I was trying not to eat too much. The 2 tacos I got were LIT!! Perfect size, made fresh and tasted spectacular! I must mention that I LOVE how they only used ONE tortilla for the tacos and not two like most places do. I hate wasting food and tasting ONLY the tortilla when there's 2. I bit into the Baja Fish first. The ingredients are "fresh, fresh, fresh" as they say on their IG! You can totally see and taste the freshness. I then tried the Taco Governador and it was the icing on the cake for me. Shrimp distribution was on point, seasoned very well and satisfied me without making me feel stuffed. They were not served with condiments, but I just poured the salsa from the chips on them and they tasted even better! Would love to have them next time with a little bit of sour cream and guac, but that's just me. ;) I later came back around 9:15pm after my workout because my gym buddy was hangered. Of course I suggested this place, lol. I just had another cocktail...this time it was the Batman Margarita. Jimmy, our server, sold me on it. He had me at "blackberries." I could taste more alcohol in it, but it was still fruity and exactly what I needed. Gym buddy had the Tuna Tostada and the Tacos Ursula. I nibbled off each dish and it is safe to say we'll be regulars here, lol. If you don't come for the food, at least come for the drinks! For my lady friends, enJOY the eye candy too, hehe... Gus, Chris, Jimmy and Erik are all very friendly and really make you feel so welcome. Find them in the Center Point Plaza near Sprouts and Monsta Snow Too. Lots of parking available but will soon get crowded as other businesses nearby have yet to open. Pricing is average, but the food and drinks are straight FIRE! What's not to love about a place that serves great tequila and great food. My favorite is the Ursula Taco (octopus). Tender, flavordul with a hand made tortilla!!! YUM!!!
