The interior is trying to be real hip and it sort of works in a positive way but a little bit of that modern gauche. You know, kind of like Z gallery meets mid-century with a slight Lichtenstein tribute with a cartoonish flavour. It does work though, and carries to the exterior or the exterior carries to the interior? With the limitations of a strip mall it's a little bit hard to put lipstick on a pig. But they've executed it well and it's inviting and a departure from the norm. I'm excited to get there soon.

I heard about this place from the Lake Elsinore Socials Instagram page. So It was my father in laws birthday, party of 10 and we had the pleasure of dining at Tacos and Tequila in Menifee, California, and I can't stop raving about it! The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the "La Tablita" dinner item - it's a flavor explosion that deserves all the praise. Let's talk drinks. The Michelada was incredible, we also tried one of there Tamarino margarita's Both were above average. La Tablita was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with vibrant flavors that danced on my taste buds with each bite. The combination of perfectly seasoned meats, fresh beans and rice, and mouthwatering salsa's was simply divine. The presentation was also a feast for the eyes - a true work of art on a plate. But what truly sets Tacos and Tequila apart is the warm and friendly atmosphere, and I must give a special shoutout to the manager. I recently visited this restaurant during my lunch break and was excited to grab a quick bite. Unfortunately, my experience with the service was disappointing. When I arrived, several servers walked past me without any acknowledgment as I stood at the empty host stand, where the sign clearly stated to "Please wait to be seated." I waited for about five minutes without even a greeting. To my dismay, a group of guests who arrived after me was immediately greeted and seated, while I continued to be ignored. At that point, I felt completely overlooked and unwelcomed. It wasn't until a host, Savanah, came out from the back that I was finally acknowledged. She greeted me promptly and took my order, but by then, I was so uncomfortable that I decided to order my food to-go instead of dining in. While the food was excellent, the lack of attention and hospitality from the staff left a lot to be desired. I hope the management addresses this issue, as no customer should feel as though they are being ignored. read more

I brought my family to this restaurant expecting a pleasant experience, but it turned out to be one of the worst visits we've had. Our server, Kaley, was extremely rude--especially toward my daughter. She tipped over a drink and didn't even apologize, which was very disappointing. The food didn't make things any better--the chips were stale and the salsa was overly salty. When we asked to have the chips replaced, Kaley snatched them off the table in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. We also had to repeatedly ask for a refill, while she continued to walk past our table without ever acknowledging us or checking in, which made us feel completely ignored. Tacos and Tequila did not disappoint! The lighting inside was perfect -- not too bright, not too dark -- and the music kept the vibe upbeat without being overwhelming. Originally just came for drinks, but after seeing the menu, we had to try the food. We ordered the sampler platter, and it was spot on -- just the right amount of food to share without feeling stuffed. After an excellent steak dinner that cost approximately $330, we brought out a small, pre-sliced ice cream Polar Pizza for our son's birthday. I began serving it myself because it was already sliced. The waitress then came over and, in a confrontational manner, announced that we would be charged a $25 cake-cutting fee. The fee may have previously been mentioned to my wife, but I was not aware of it when I began serving the cake. I understand that restaurants have policies, and a calm explanation would have been enough. Instead, the situation was turned into an unnecessary scene during our son's birthday celebration. Then another large male employee came over, stepped directly into my personal space, and angrily asked, "Would you bring beer into a bar?" He got right in my face without first asking what had happened or allowing me to explain. His tone and decision to get that close were aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. We ultimately paid the $25 fee even though the staff did not cut, plate, or serve the cake. The fee was frustrating, but the confrontational way the employees handled the situation was far worse. Families considering celebrating a child's birthday here should confirm every outside dessert policy beforehand. In our case, what should have been a joyful moment for our son became an upsetting experience. It did not leave us feeling as though families celebrating with children were welcomed or valued. A simple and respectful conversation could have resolved everything in seconds. Instead, their response changed the entire mood and ruined what should have been a special ending to our son's birthday dinner. The food may still be excellent, but a restaurant is remembered for more than its steaks. After years of loyalty, the aggressive and disrespectful way this was handled during our son's birthday has cost them our business. We will not be returning.
