Lots of parking outside and near to a kid's playground made it an easy choice for us after the kid was done playing. Deducting 1 star for being - CASH only!! Thank god we had some :) In $32, we got: - wet chicken burrito - 5/5 - too good! The taste was authentic and chicken was tender and flavorful. Most recommended! - 3 taco - 4/5 - chicken, pork, beef - decent - refreshing lemon drink - sauces were good :) Definitely get the cash!! That is all :) its a quick bite so if u overstay/ relax and eat slowly - u might get the eyes haha :)

Want to always try different taco spots so decided to try tacos autlense, it was not that made. I always go for the flavor of the meat and tortilla. In my opinion it was a good option and nice to give them a try at least once but there is so much competition out there in the taco world that I would just give them 3 stars. Nothing really gave me the wow factor but they had good customer service and the food came out quick

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! Prices are great, service is quick and friendly, and food is delicious. This place is open late, cash only, and self seating. Everything I've had has been pretty good but my go-to is the wet burrito with green sauce. This thing is HUGE and lasts me 3 meals. Aside from that, I normally go for their plates. I feel like everything here is pretty yummy.

Chile rellano wet burrito. $16.99 off Uber Eats 6/25/26

Da biggest best wet burrito in San Jose is right here. Always hot always cheesy always fresh with. Good balanced salsa super generous portions and best price. Service is always fast and efficient ladies always nice. Ambiance... well it's east side San Jose. Be prepared to fight cuz the parking lot is always full and the place next door has some of the best bahnmis too. Happy yelping. Get you some

I understand maybe the in-house service quality from the staff might not be the best but....thats why I recommend to get the food for pickup!!! Take it to go and enjoy it in the car, or at home! I will stand on this...the food is lowkey fire! Burritos are probably the biggest heaviest burritos that I have eaten in San Jose in recent years and the food is really well seasoned! The rice is delicious and the meats is good! Solid red salsa too! If you've got a super huge appetite and need a dense oversized burrito that's the size of your head, a burrito that puts most other places to shame when it comes to comparison of portions. I urge you to try this spot.

Stumbled upon this place after going next door for some banh mi. While on my way to my original destination, I heard a couple saying this was their go to place for some good Mexican food and it was their comfort food, and I was intrigued. Fast forward I was ordering other food and waiting in line right outside when the smells from this restaurant were enticing me to just try some. The smells were enough to persuade me because next thing I knew, I was ordering a cabeza taco, lengua taco, and a chicken tamale. After taking it to go and tasting it at home, I now understood the couple I had overheard. The tacos were so good and the meats were moist. The tamale was good as well. I feel like good tamales arent as accessible in the area, so I was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to go back for more! Note - cash only

I'm so glad I finally got to try this restaurant! My friends and I were trying to find a good Mexican food spot in the area, but there were so many that it was hard to choose. Plus, being hella Mexicana myself, I feel like I can be a little picky. First, the customer service was awesome! We were immediately greeted and asked if it was dine in or to go. We chose our table, and she brought chips with salsa. She gave us ample time to look over the menu since it was our first time there. She also checked on us multiple times while we were there. Now the food was honestly so so good. The portions were HUGE. My friend got a burrito mojado de lengua which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was only able to eat half because it was so big. I got flautas de pollo. The flautas were FULL of chicken from end to end. The plate came with FOUR flautas, rice, beans, and side salad. I also got a horchata, which was good and not grainy at all. I will definitely be coming back here!

So my girlfriend and I stopped by to get a couple tacos one night while we were waiting for some bahn mi from the sandwich shop next door. Man I am so happy we did. We decided to return after loving the Al pastor in the tacos. This time I got a wet super burrito with the Al pastor and geezzz. I think this place might be my favorite Mexican food spot in town now. The al pastor was juicy and thick and the portions were huge. The flavors were A+. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Pretty big menu too. 5 stars because when I asked for the food to go the gave me a paper box. Shows a lot about the establishment for not giving plastic!

I was actually getting a Vietnamese sandwich next door and wanted to try out this taco place. $3 each for a carnitas taco. Super salty and very little portion. Definitely not worth $3.

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

We started with the Queso Fundido, served on a small hot plate with chilis, garlic, and oil on top. It's basically a block of cheese served with chips. Even with the hot plate, it didn't stay gooey for long, but it was a pretty good starter. The Coconut Campachano was creamy and refreshing. My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.
