I came in here more than 15 mins early and they weren't happy to see me . The guy behind the counter was cleaning then started touching the food I was going to order. He didn't speak English, so I asked someone else to ask him to change his gloves. He was nice about it. He started my tortillas and then went in the back and started cleaning again with his gloves. I asked the woman who translated before (very nicely) if he could change his gloves again prior to touching my food. She said with a huge attitude "he's going to change them before he touches the tacos". I thanked her and she rolled her eyes at me! Like girl, he literally touched my tortillas before so of course I'm going to have concerns and I didn't want to waste food. As someone who worked in the food industry for a decade, you're supposed to wash your hands before changing gloves and you're not supposed to clean with gloves, especially if you're going to touch food without changing them. Their asada is SOOOOOOO good! I'm very picky with my asada as many places serve you chunks of fat, but not this location. I was actually shocked how it had zero pieces of fat. I also appreciated that they aren't stingy with their condiments like most places. Best tacos. I'm lucky to live so close to this place because I've definitely been in line with people who drive like a half hour for taco Tuesday's. The lines for taco tuesdays can get pretty long but they go by pretty quickly. I love the tacos. My personal favorites are chicken, carnitas and chorizo with only lettuce, red salsa and cheese. Went to Tacos Del Rio for the first time in several years. There is frequently a line out the door for this place but that's not an indicator of how busy it is or isn't. With just 5 people in line it'll be out the door because the place is small and there's no room for a line inside. My wife and I ordered 5 tacos (carne asada, pollo and al pastor). I was very disappointed because the meats ALL lacked FLAVOR. Either they didn't marinate them long enough or they weren't strong enough. This literally had to be the blandest al pastor I've ever had. I wish they offered online ordering because they make the food in front of you so it holds up the line when they do one order at a time with only ONE lady making the food. Went here a few weeks ago ordered the carne asada fries with no sour cream and asked for lots of their green salsa. Amazing. No issue getting extra salsa, the green salsa is so flavorful, the red is good too just prefer the green. The portion is ridiculously large so be hungry and know you will have more for later. What I really liked was that they have crinkle fries and they fry them to be extra crispy not burnt so your fries are not soggy with all the toppings. Best taco joint in Eastvale by far. The Al pastor is always juicy and flavorful. Their chicken is unlike other places as it's shredded chicken. The chicken is stewed in a spicy red sauce that I find better than the typical diced chicken. They also have a nonspicy version. If you really want to treat yourself I recommend the Asada fries or nachos. Best I've had and they allow to choose any meat for the topping, so I choose the Al pastor.
