A few friends suggested this place and we decided to go on a weekday before lunch. We ordered the carne asada burrito and the Quesabirria tacos. First off what is Birria without the CONSUMÈ?? It's just a regular Birria taco! Come on guys, consumè! Consumè! CONSUMÈ!!! This day they DIDN'T have CONSUMÈ!! Por Que??? WTH! We needed that consumè to complete the Don Chai "Special Brisket Birria Experience!" How hard is it to make Consumè?? Anyhooo, the Quesabirria tacos had good flavor and balance with the crispy tortilla. We wish they would have used two tortillas, since the taco kind of fell apart. It was a good taco nevertheless! The carne asada burrito was good as well. Good flavor from the nice cut of meat. They need more pico de gallo in the burrito to put this over the top. The salsas were decent, mild pineapple, light green avocado-ish salsa and a spicy orange brown salsa. They had good flavor but not a salsa you can enjoy with chips. Which they did not give out any free chips. Pineapple drink was good and light. All in all, it was a good food experience. One of the better tasting Birrias in the area. Just found my favorite taco place ever omg. This place is tucked in Martinez, and I found them by searching "tacos" on Yelp. We pulled up, searched them on IG, and found out our fave @Grubwitmike reviewed them! It was easy to order on our own on the iPad, but the worker was there to answer our questions. We sat outside in their cute patio, and in less than 10 min, our order was ready. We came on taco Tuesday, so we paid $3 per taco ($2.50 without cheese). We got 3 Asada Quesataco & 3 Quesabirria. These tacos were so juicy and flavorful, even without sauce and consume. The consume was such a delish addition with both tacos. Then we tried every salsa they had, but the piña salsa was game changer. I need this sauce in a bottle fr. I also mixed it with the habanero salsa, and It really leveled everything up. I've never had anything like that before. I preferred the asada over the birria, but both were still 10/10. I am already planning the next time I can come back here. This place is FIRE ! I love the outdoor tropical ambiance. I ordered their berry and guava fresca drinks, quesatacos chicken and shredded brisket. It was the BOMB ! The quesatacos are my go-to and will continue to be, but the breakfast burrito, quesadillas, and the birria pizza are my top picks! A few days ago, i wanted some good Mexican tacos, started a google Search, and found Tacos Don Chai, ordered a few chicken tacos, and to my surprise the meat was soft and moist, full of flavor. Not only that, but those tacos were Loaded, and on big Tortillas, and the flavors with the salsas, Wow!!! they all just blended together in my mouth. Amazing Food Gentlemen!. Thank you. PS. We had excellent service recently for my son's graduation party! The food was delicious and they were all very professional! The owner Bryan was accommodating to a few time changes, which I was extremely thankful for. I saw a suggestion on Next Door to try this place out this morning . We're are lovers of Birria tacos & I have to say these are just as delicious as the ones we had in Colorado Springs . We went this afternoon for lunch & I suggested we try this place out & y'all have some pretty good reviews & of course you have that random negative review but that didn't sway us from not trying your restaurant out. Very impressed with the ease of placing order in which you could place inside or outside the restaurant. The inside is decorated very simple but brings a warm & welcoming feeling . These young men running the place are very attentive & efficient & very polite . We ordered 4 Birria tacos w/ consommé & Birria ramen . My husband's only complaint was they weren't ramen noodles but udon . I didn't care it still tasted delicious & it was still HOT! when we got home which is 24 minutes from our house . It was worth the drive out to Martinez . All the tacos are made to order fresh & hot & w/ 3 different types of salsa, the chips were not my favorite but the tacos were on point delicious . We will definitely be back & try different menu items next time. There's not a whole lot of seating in the restaurant but they have a nice outdoor patio in front of the restaurant which is nicely decorated. Authentic Mexican Food at this little restaurant tucked behind a bigger Mexican Restaurant. The Birria Tacos with consommé are the best in the whole region. Quesabirrias (see pic) has the most amazing tortilla with a slight crunch stuffed with generous amounts of shredded brisket. Topped with the sauces and dipped in consommé it is absolutely delicious. The Asada Burrito is also super delicious with generous amounts of meat and high on flavor. Don't miss the 4 different types of delicious sauces that come with any entree- they are not just your typical salsa. They have soursop aqua Fresca thats hard to get but a little too sweet- hope that can help fixed. For a tiny restaurant that's extremely busy, the service is also deeply warm and personal. I made it by today and let me say WOW!!! When I saw the quesabirria tacos at first I wasn't sure because they're not your traditional super greasy, cooked in fat/oil tortillas. I took my first bite and holy s***!!!! Hands down the best quesabirria tacos I've had out here. The meat is super tender and flavorful! Even though the tortillas aren't fried in heavy grease, nothing about the taco is dry. The staff was so kind! They went through every salsa they have and I got to try them all with my food. The Pineapple Salsa ooooooo yas! It was creamy and had the sweetness from the pineapple with so much flavor! The habanero salsa was !!! So spicy my brows sweat but the flavor was 10/10!!
