    Food truck/trailer

Came here off of the reviews. It's a cash only food truck/trailer. Very limited English. I had a chicken burrito and it was packed with toppings. The food was good. This style of burrito was not necessarily my favorite style, but you could tell it was fresh.

I was surprised that there was a taco truck sort of in the middle of nowhere. I was on my way to San Martin and needed a quick food, saw this place and made a pit stop. Cash only! Ordered a carne asada burrito for ease. It came with rice, beans and pico. Took mine without beans. The burrito was delicious. The carne asada meat had flavor too. I wished they gave me hot sauce with the burrito and I forgot to ask. They did provide like a little pouch of a pepper, onions and radish. Quick stop for a quick lunch if you're in the area!

Delish. I pulled in at 4:45 on a weekday and the parking lot was nearly empty. At 5, it was like locusts descending. Not an empty spot to be found. Got my burrito quick, almost no wait. I'd come here again. Fairly cheap, fast (at the time I went), tasty, picnic tables available, parking's easy to get in and out of with my extended length cargo van...checks all my boxes.

2 de suadero 2 de cabeza

I ‍ their TACOS‼ I always get 2 de suadero and 2 de cabeza with everything.!!! They come fully prepared as you see them on my plate, with a little side of cebollitas, a chilito toreado, rábanos and limón! I usually call ahead and they are ready within 10-15 minutes. They have a picnic table and a portable bathroom with water and soap so if you have to eat there, you can. Give them a try!!!

YUP, definitely a fan!! It was taco Tuesday, and trying Tacos El Abuelo for the first time was a must. Pretty much a hidden gem right off the highway. I had tacos with asada and chicken, the meat flavor was AMAZING and the salsa that comes on top was not too spicy, just perfect amount of kick. They have two tables in the area in case you decide to eat there, you can also call ahead for pick up which I thought was pretty convenient. Also, FYI, CASH ONLY!! besides that, everything was perfect for a quick stop at a taco truck, I will for sure be going back to try something else.

I really, really enjoyed hopping off the freeway to find this food truck just two minutes off highway 101 outside of Gilroy. I had the best ($11 carne asada) burrito of my life! The meat was great, the beans soft and creamy - home cooked. The burrito had small sides of fresh lemon, radishes, and grilled onions and a half hot green pepper. Be aware that the food truck parks on a (dusty) gravel lot next to an agricultural field (corn coming up when I was there). Lots of local people pull up, delivery truck drivers, etc. As mentioned by others, there are two dusty and partially shaded picnic tables if you need to get out of your car...which I highly recommend, so you can soak up this special bit of Mexican California culture.

This spot has the bombest tacos I ever had. I know food trucks can be a little scary for some people but this taco truck is great.

Service was good, but they were down a server so a bit slow. First red flag were the chips, which were stale, not crunchy or crispy. I could fold the chips in half. Also ordered a Diet Coke and a Modelo. Diet Coke was brought out in a can with no glass or ice, no glass for the beer either. At home, maybe, but would expect more at a restaurant. Ordered the chicken cheese quesadilla, Carne Asada super burrito, and a regular Carne Asada burrito. The chicken in the cheese quesadilla was a bit hard, reminiscent of leftover chicken that has been sitting for a while. Regular burrito was good, plenty of meat, beans and rice. Super burrito was mostly filled with rice and beans, not much meat. The waitress was very nice, however the food left much to be desired. Unfortunately, search for it go to Mexican restaurant in Gilroy continues.

I've been here numerous times and they do offer special meal options depending on the day. On Sunday they offered quesabirria tacos, they were delicious. There are different options of beans, they offer however they are all so delicious. My normal order is the enchiladas verdes and you could never go wrong with them. The serving sizes are pretty large. In addition, they have a great kids menu for those with picky eaters. The services is good. Our server, Cesar, is the best server here and is very attentive to the table and is great at answering any questions you may have. This place is pretty spacious and they play music. They have different seating options which the host will offer. I'm not sure why the reviews are so horrible. It's never been my experience here. I chose the tortilla soup because it was freezing cold in the bar area , and it sounded good. The soup was bland , boring and had limited ingredients. I had to order a side of avocado just to make it interesting to eat. The menu itself is tired and outdated. The food is mediocre and overpriced . In fact ,almost everything is over 20.00 now. I used to come here for the happy hour appetizers , and to watch a game. With food this bad, I don't think I'll even do that anymore. The only thing saving this place from one star is the friendly staff and good chips and salsa.

There's a sign that says "Wait to be seated", but no one came out to seat us and a group of people walked past us to go inside, were sat right away. A girl who sat us ended up being our server but took a very long time for her to come back out to even take our drink orders. I had to ask the guy bringing water and tortilla chips who our server was. Once our server arrived she was very nice and answered our menu questions. I ordered the the spicy Mamacita and my friend ordered the pina colada. Both drinks looked cool but mine was very sweet, not really spicy at all and was tiny for $15. I think I mostly paid for the presentation part...flower, popsicle, etc. We both ordered the 3 taco trio and the food came out before long. I had a mahi mahi, carne asada and a taco macho. Again, the food wasn't that great: rice and beans had an off flavor, octopus was chewy in the taco macho, and the mahi was a bit fishy. We took half our food to go and checked out. All in all I would not come back unless it was out of convenience due to the location. The food and drinks have a nice presentation, but the taste of everything wasn't there for me. Although our server was really nice and my friend and I were busy chatting, the service was slow.
