    Flautas
    Tara S S.

I love this place. The food never disappoints. I always say if there's a lot of Mexicans in a Mexican restaurant that's a really good sign and this has that. Today I had flautas and my husband had street tacos. Especially love their salsa. It's homemade and has a nice kick. Price is reasonable and service is good. The only reason it gets a fool is because every time I go there the iced tea taste dirty like the machine is never cleaned.

This place is great. I've never been here and not had great service. It's like stepping into a Hispanic family's kitchen! The foods great. I typically take it to go. But it's a pretty laid back ambiance here

Stopped in for a quick lunch..ive always loved this place and location.nice little place with nice staff and tables always fully stocked with sauces for your convenience! I never really got anything else but the carnitas or chicken tacos.. but today I decided to try their quesabirria and cheese enchilada...im happy i did.. The quesabirria didn't come with consomé but it actually didn't need it. The meat was so juicy and full of flavor.. I love cheese enchiladas..it's all about the sauce and how it's prepared.. I like them not overly saucy and a good rich or bold flavor sauce..goes well with the cheese..lettuce and onions add a good touch of freshness and cuts alittle through the sauce.. these had all that.. I cant wait to have them again..

3 Flauta Combo. Good sub for crispy tacos!

This is an update. I'm so HAPPY to be here today. I was in this area again and hungry. I read my previous review to remind myself. (:-) I wasn't happy when she said they only have street tacos. I grew up on crispy tacos and I'm not into street tacos. THEN she suggested Flautas. I've always had them made with flour tortillas. THESE are made with corn tortillas and hand rolled...to order...STUFFED with chicken or beef. So much meet the tortilla barely closed. Then topped with lettuce, cheese and avocado. SOOOO DELICIOUS. And a wonderful substitute if you're in the mood for crispy tacos. Beware they do not have a truly MILD sauce but green was milder than red. This time I asked to SEE the flan before I ordered it. It looked wonderful. Lots of "juice". And it IS WONDERFUL. Nice and sweet. And REAL FLAN. So many places must use instant. It's hard to find flan like this today. I'm so happy to up my review to 5 stars. So glad I gave them another try. If you find this review HELPFUL please VOTE!

This is a pretty solid place for Mexican food! You order at the counter and they make everything fresh and then bring it out to you. They also brought some chips and salsa to the table which was unexpected and they were good! I had the asada fries - delicious with lots of meat. Hubby had the taco combo plate with chicken and asada tacos - all good. I would definitely come back

I was really hoping to like this place. It was okay, the staff was friendly and attentive. The meat they used is just not up to par with other restaurants or my taste buds. Too grisly.

Shrimp ceviche is really good and the cóctel Food came out really fast And service was ok it could be better tho .

These guys are the real deal! The best pico de gallo I have ever had! 10 out 10 recommend! The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, grabbed 3pastor tacos for a decent price and they tasted great. Whole visit was exactly what I thought in and out for good price and tastes!!

They have brewed iced tea (tropical and regular)

Walk in and order at the counter. They hand you chips and salsa. Drinks are self-service in addition to bottled sodas behind the counter. They bring the food to you. 3 types of hot sauces are available. Wide variety of sauces, proteins and soups. Of course, the standard burritos, tacos and nachos are there. Got a chicken mole with a thick mild brown sauce and the chicken soup packed with a whole chicken quarter-leg. Overall, flavors are mild but jalapenos and hot sauces are available to oomph it up! I like that they have a regular and a tropical brewed iced tea.

The service was good! The tacos were nicely put together. I wish my pepper was spicier though! Chips weren't stale and they give you two different salsa dips which is great for other people that like a variety. But the food came out quick and I would def come back. The place was quite enough where we can actually have conversation.

I ordered a bean & cheese burrito with green sauce... Wonderful green sauce, tortilla was full of cheese, but very little beans....what they did give me, was creamy.... just not enough to be called a bean & cheese burrito.... Anyway, my sister ordered a combustion plate with one taco, two enchiladas... she really enjoyed it... I think most of the food was homemade... parking is easy ...

Quesabirria, pastor tacos & tripa tacos
    Emmanuel C.

Not much to say about this place. Tacos were just bland, ordered pastor, tripa and a quesabirria. Pastor, bland, lack of flavor. Tripa, they were good, the ones I'd recommend. Quesabirria, just bland colorful tortilla and meat, lacking a lot of flavor. I would come back again just for tripa tacos, other than that I will pass on this place. Service was good and ambience was well, quiet and empty.

First off, huge shoutout to the staff at both locations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a group of about 12 showing up and ordering at different times, plus another large party there, and they handled it all really well. The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Tacos are always subjective, but I'd absolutely recommend giving Ana's a try because there's something for everyone on the menu. The cocktails are fun too, and I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant had a fun, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Upon walking in,I was impressed with the patrons, this was a no frills crowd who looked like they were all in on a secret that this place was going to be a really good foodie spot. This is one of those spots where u walk up and order at the counter and they bring your food out to you.I loved the decor as you can really tell the owners are proud of their Jalisco roots. As an added bonus-I do tend to like taquerias that have pics of the menu items on the walls-always been a good luck charm for me that the place would be pretty good. We ordered a few things-A Super Burrito with Al Pastor($13.50)-it was pretty tasty-way way filling-killed my buzz totally-which I guess was the goal-I'd order it again for sure.We Also got a Shrimp taco($5)My wife is from Jalisco,so kinda picky with her Mexican food but she thought it was pretty tasty-one of the most flavorful tacos she has had in a long time.We also got the 2 enchilada plate with ground beef and chicken($15.50)-This dish came with rice and bean-I really liked the rice quite a bit and beans went well with the chips because of the added cheese on the beans. One thing I didn't love was the fact that you had to pay for chips and salsa-I'm sure I'm just spoiled from all the places that gives those out for free but I guess that's the way it goes-pretty sure it was like $3-no biggie. In closing-if u ever find yourself in Reno and u want something other than the commercial stuff they sell in the casinos-I would highly recommend walking across the street from Silver Legacy and walk into this little hole in the wall hidden gem of a restaurant and enjoy yourself a taste of Jalisco -you won't be disappointed.
