I've been here a couple of times. I like the super burrito but I absolutely hate the customer service. Due to my last experience, I am not coming back. I ordered the super burrito. I'm so hungry, I start eating it in my car in the parking lot. I notice that it's pretty dry and it's lacking sour cream, cheese, cilantro, and onion. So I continue to eat because I know how the sour cream is at the bottom or whatever. Nope. I even stuck my finger around to find it. So I went back and politely told the cashier that I ordered a super burrito. Here was our exchange: Me: hi, I ordered a super burrito and there wasn't any sour cream. Cashier: oh well it's like almost half way gone now. Me: ok, but I ordered a super burrito, and paid extra for it and did not receive that. Cashier: oh, well you should've checked it before you ate it. Me: ???? How, if you must at least open it or bite it to figure this out. Cashier: well you should've cut it in half. Me: I'm not going to change the way I eat because you made a mistake. You should've put sour cream in it like I ordered and paid for. The cashier comes back with a small container of sour cream. Stopped in for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Busy spot but not super crowded. Food is ordered at the counter. Got a veggie burrito and a camarones a la diabla (since I was in the mood for seafood). Started with the complimentary chips and salsa. They give 2 squeeze bottles of salsa and while I utterly hate squeeze bottle salsa I absolutely loved both salsas. The green salsa is a mild salsa with strong cilantro flavor while the red salsa is a spicier almost southwest style salsa. The camarones were large prawns as expected and the diabla sauce was extremely flavorful, spicy, with a perfect hint of tomato and peppers. The sauce wasn't watery like others I've tasted but almost like a stew-stir fry mix. Normally I mix in salsa with the dish but this particular rendition of a la diabla needed no augmentation. The regular burrito was huge and more than enough for the average person. Ordering the super burrito would be more appropriate for an Olympic swimmer, eating contest champion, or someone planning on having lots of leftovers. It wasn't till after we left I realized this is actually a chain and there are several other locations around the area meaning I'll probably be seeing another taqueria Jalisco sometime soon. read more

I moved from Sacramento recently so I've been searching for good places to eat...by far this is one my favorite Mexican restaurants to go to. I usually eat here once a week, if not twice because it's delicious. Their Tacos Assad's, chimichanga is to die for, their fajitas over the top!!! Their flautas are good too! And I must say, their beans and rice is yummy (get extra chips). And their salsa is super spicy...favorite one is their red sauce. And this strawberry margarita is so good!!! This is a hard review, because my family and I have been frequent repeat customers here for quite some time. Our order is almost exactly the same every single time. Simple, 1 super steak burrito with everything, and 1 chicken super burrito with no onions. I love a good burrito, Tacos, birria, etc and personally have a couple favorites in town. Mostly been coming here because my husband loves their food more than I do, but I digress. About 2 weeks ago we placed our regular order, I'm pregnant, so I've been sending my husband to pick up, usually I do the picking up. Anyhow, he brings the food home and we eat as usual. Needless to say, I found 2 small chicken bones in my chicken burrito. I called and let them know, he asked us to bring the burrito with the bones back to the restaurant so that they could make their supplier aware since their chicken is all supposed to be boneless. No big deal. Husband took back what was left with bones. We were given a couple deserts and a gift certificate for next time. No problem. They attempted to right a wrong. Cool. Fast forward to today, 1st time back since bones incident, ordered the exact same thing, husband gets the food home and is telling me one if the guys in the kitchen was staring him down awkwardly and giving him weird looks while picking up our food. We're innocent here, always polite to the staff and try to tip when we can even though we're ordering takeout. Needless to say he brings the food home, we sit down to eat, and there is like a 7 inch long black hair in my burrito that I don't discover until I've already gotten the whole bite in my mouth and am gagging while trying to find and pull this long ass hair out of my mouth. This Time I fail to get anyone to answer the phone, so I take my 33 weeks pregnant self and drive all the way down there to get there before they close at 9pm. I bring the hair wrapped in a napkin and the 3/4 burrito that I didn't eat to show them. Nobody in my home has black hair. My husband is bald, my hair is light to medium brown and even my mixed child has light brown hair. First, the guy at the counter almost had a heart attack because I opened my half eaten burrito on his counter to show him the hair, and told me he couldn't take it to dispose of it I had to take it outside (mind you when my husband brought the burrito with the bones, they handled this burrito themselves).. I'm explaining to him that I am 33 weeks pregnant, visibly and this is unsanitary and twice in a row my specific burritos have had issues. I get a half assed apology, "what do you want me to do", "it's not like we're doing this on purpose", "I'm sorry, but there's not much we can do." And aside from replacing my meal, which at this point I don't trust the chicken or the burritos anymore, I ended up with some steak fries and no real empathy or remorse for thus disgusting issue. And I guess because they've been open so long, they can be cocky and use that as an excuse to gaslight regular customers who have a real issue. I'm not looking for a handout, and legit would not waste my gas and time and energy to bring back a half eaten burrito to stage myself a dramatic issue. I didn't even ask for a refund or extra compensation, because I'm Hella pregnant and starving at this point and also struggling with a sinus infection. Another reason I send my not sick not pregnant husband to pick up food. Sadly, 2 strikes is too many for us and we will not be returning to this establishment. I am really really surprised that this place is so highly rated. I've had my good share of Californian Mexican food, and the food here was definitely well below average. I tried a few different items here: Fish taco with flour tortilla: A rather simple taco, made with tilapia rather than the usual mahi mahi or cod or the likes. The fish didn't have the same texture or flavor, and the overall flavor was lacking. Regular burrito al pastor: Pretty much, I got a burrito filled with rice. There wasn't even enough meat to thinly line the burrito. The rice was incredibly dry as well. Pretty much, I doused the burrito in my three small containers of burrito and unfortunately ran out towards the bottom. Definitely advise against getting this. I tried some of my friends' carnitas and carne asada, and those were rather dry as well. Perhaps I came on a bad day, but Tacos Jalisco definitely did not meet anything close to my expectations for a four star, or even a three star Mexican restaurant. read more

However, I made an online order for 30 tacos platter for 6:30pm on a Friday since I had a party planned. I arrived at 6;35pm to pick up my order, and when I got to the counter, they said they are working on my order. I thought this was going to be a 5-10 minute wait, but I waited and waited and waited for my order. I checked in again at 7:15pm since it was taking longer than expected, and when I did, they didn't even have my order started! They said no one saw the online order and didn't start the process. They took my order down again, and told me I can only choose one type of beans! The online has two types! This place is fairly good! I was craving a burrito and saw the reviews for this place and decided to give it a go! I got the Famous Jalisco Burrito. It's a burrito with meat, rice, beans, sour cream and then covered in red sauce, so it's served wet. The burrito was ok, the chicken they used was really tender so that was a plus! The burrito wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. I would definitely come back but not for this burrito. The highlight of this visit was the green salsa! They give you a bottle of green and red salsa when you order as well as a basket of chips. The green salsa was AMAZING! I drowned my burrito in it.
