I've been to Lemmon Street Tacos a few times now. What I really like about this place is its Asian/Tex-Mex fusion menu! Seeing as they're my two favorite food types, I cannot be more thrilled that this place exists. Any time I am craving some street tacos but want boba too, I don't have to make two pit stops across town! I've tried their breakfast tacos, their boba tea, street tacos, and birria tacos. Each time has been great, except for the breakfast tacos. This is personal preference, but I really love a good breakfast (ground) sausage taco. But the sausage here is roughly chopped hot dogs or something and I really do not like the texture at all. When I tried the sausage breakfast tacos again, I asked to confirm the meat and they were great with explaining what to expect, so this was my own fault for asking before trying the first time. However, this won't stop me from coming back! I'm really excited to try the ramen birria. I'd say 3.5 stars at best. Unlike some establishments, they are NOT stingy with their hot sauce! I will say, the chicken in my burrito could've used more seasonings as it didn't taste very flavored (but a little?). I'll have to come back and try their tacos another time. My meal was pretty big so I'll have leftovers. I will say, there was a homeless person camped outside like maybe 20-40 ft away from their establishment but it's also currently 5* outside. I felt bad for him and asked if I could get him anything which he responded no, he already got some so I offered to get him breakfast for the next day. He said "how about a churro?" And you know what.... We all need a sweet treat during these bitter winter days so a churro is what he got. It's good karma at the end of the day and I hate to see stuff like that. I wasn't uncomfortable but just a forewarning for anyone who does go here. My total for a chicken burrito (it comes with fries), 1 small Jamaica and 1 churro was around $20. First, the team inside is really on the A-game - friendly, quick, and really comfortable. Then, the food arrived. The service was friendly and quick, and I ordered the 3 Street Taco Combo with Carne Asada. The tacos were delicious and hit the spot! Being a gringo who hasn't visited Mexico in many years, I can't speak to the 'authenticity' of the street food here. But I'm usually one of few gringos in the place, which is almost always crowded, so that tells me something. So does my palate. The tacos are great. The menu (poorly reproduced here) is exhaustive -- too exhaustive, really, everything from menudo to burgers, smoothies to ramen (???). I've never ordered anything but the tacos and breakfast tacos. Anything with trompo is worth trying. The beans include sliced hot dogs. Don't know about the authenticity of that one, but it works. To the faint of tongue, go easy with the red sauce. It's not the hottest I've tasted, by a lot, but some people would find it brutal. read more

Lemmon Street Tacos is a solid late night option, especially after a night out. The tacos are really small so I was still a little hungry after a few, but the trompo meat was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and well-seasoned. Everything tasted fresh, and even though the portions aren't huge, the flavor makes it worth stopping by. First of all the service is so bad here the VA is jealous! The food is smaller than a micro dwarf and the prices are higher than Cheech and Chong at a weed convention! The staff doesn't speak English or at least they act like they don't. The seating doesn't welcome you to stay for while to enjoy your meal. I always love a great Mexican breakfast, especially tacos and burritos, so I stopped in here around 7AM one morning. They have a nice menu, loaded with lots of appetizing Mexican treats, including breakfast tacos. They'll make then with corn or flour tortillas too. I ordered a couple chorizo breakfast tacos. They took about 5 minutes to make and came out piping hot. They looked and tasted amazing! Don't let the appearance outside distract you. These are genuinely good tacos. That being said the reason I gave four stars instead of five is because their salsa is just shy of great, and although the taco chef is a very important part of a Taqueria, the salsa is equally important if not more so and this salsa fell short in my opinion. There is no other way to say that this food is absolutely horrible. I ordered 2 fajita beef tacos, 1 barbacoa taco and one red and green tamale. Let's start with the Fajita beef tacos... As you can see from the pictures, the beef is very light in color and flavor and resembles dry chicken. Additionally, they were full of huge pieces of grilled onions which I didn't ask for and once I removed the onions from the taco, there was about 2 TABLESPOONS OF MEAT in one of them. Now I know I'm being nit-picky here but look at the taco you can see how light in color it is. I only finished the one tiny taco Next onto the barbacoa, A whole Bay leaf in the taco and still NO FLAVOR. It tastes extremely fatty and not moist like barbacoa normally is. But the biggest thing was that it didn't have any flavor like it just tasted like cooked meat in maybe some pepper... It wasn't good at all And honestly to save the worst for last..... LOOK AT THESE TAMALES!!! At this point just sell Masa only because clearly whoever makes the tamales hates making them! I don't even have to say what's wrong with them because just look at them. Also maybe 2 tablespoons of meat in this tamale and you guessed it NO FLAVOR. The service is extremely slow. I loved this place last weekend, so I decided to come this morning to grab food for my office. I called to place my order, and the gentleman that answered the phone couldn't understand me, so he hung up. I called back multiple times with no answer. I drove the restaurant to order in person upon my arrival, the gentleman that attempted to take my order, his comprehension of English was poor. This language barrier made it difficult for him to understand me. Due to this, I decided to cancel my order and go elsewhere. I planned to spend a little over $100 to feed my staff breakfast. So, this establishment lost out on funds because no one working could service me. I can only imagine how much money they lose due to this. First off, why were these tacos so good ? Omg. Literally had these tacos at 3 am and usually I would be at Fuel Town Tacos, because as a true Texas native I understand that the best tacos are produced in a gas station.... Howeverrrrrrr, that was the old me, because the new me stands corrected. Not to mention the inside was open, which is just a game changer itself. Again no shade to the fuel city lovers, but let's be real, the standing outside gets a little sketchy in the middle of the night. On to the food! The food was good.
