From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with genuine hospitality. Doña Mari herself was taking orders and serving tables, which made the experience feel even more personal. I ordered the menudo, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It came with fresh, homemade tortillas that took the meal to another level. They also serve café de olla, which was the perfect complement to the food. This isn't a fancy restaurant, and that's exactly what makes it special. It's warm, authentic, and full of heart. If you want real Mexican comfort food made the traditional way, I highly recommend stopping by Antojitos Doña Maria. I'll definitely be back

I was looking for something warm and flavorful after a long day, and chicken fajitas seemed like the perfect choice. I also ordered a side of rice and sour cream, but upon seeing how large of an amount of food was delivered, I think I may have been able to get by without the additional sides! The chicken fajitas meal included a generous amount of seasoned chicken, refried beans, rice, sour cream, lettuce, a flavorful side sauce, and flour tortillas. There were enough ingredients to make many delicious wraps! The best part of this dish was the chicken, extremely flavorful and well cooked! The flavors all blended together and everything tasted fresh and enjoyable. The tortillas, the flavor of the chicken and the standard sides created a very scrumptious meal! The only downside was that the delivery of my Uber Eats was a bit longer than I expected. However, the food was still great and enjoyed upon arrival. I would definitely be willing to order from Fajitas Mexican Restaurant again, however, I believe I would try dining in on the next occasion to enjoy the meal fresh from the kitchen!

The place looks like what it is - a Mexican restaurant with a large mural on wall and the cooks and most of the servers spoke Spanish to each other. So I appreciate the authenticity. You have to try the soup- it's so good and homemade.

This is an updated review, and unfortunately I'm writing this with a great deal of disappointment…read morebecause my previous experiences at La Cabanita had always been enjoyable. The food is normally very good and we've had many great visits over the years. This time, however, things were different. The experience itself wasn't up to the standards I've come to expect, but what really left me stunned happened afterward. Like many people, I was reconciling my monthly expense report and happened to compare my receipt to what was actually charged to my card. My signed receipt, including tip, clearly showed $69.99. However, when I checked my statement, I was charged $72.78. Now, we're not talking about some life-changing amount of money. It's only a few dollars. But that's almost what makes it worse. It wasn't some outrageous charge that immediately jumps out at you. It felt... sneaky. Maybe there's an explanation, and I sincerely hope there is, because it appears that Jose added a little something extra for himself after the fact. I honestly don't even know what to do. The amount isn't going to bankrupt me, but that's not really the point. When you trust a restaurant with your card, you expect the amount you signed for and the amount you're charged to be exactly the same. That's a pretty basic expectation. What makes this especially disappointing is that La Cabina Villa has always been one of my go-to places. I've recommended it to family and friends and have had many enjoyable meals there. A bad night in the kitchen can happen. Service issues can happen. But losing trust is much harder to recover from. At this point, I'm less angry than I am genuinely disappointed and confused. I never thought I'd find myself double-checking charges from a place I've enjoyed for years. Hopefully management can investigate this situation and provide some answers, because right now this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Two sides - low tables when you walk in, higher tables to the right in another room. We sat by ourselves at a comfortable low table. Everything was to our liking. Burritos the size of a half loaf of bread…read more In looking around Brookfield for a place to eat at before we hit up Galloping Ghost Arcade, every online comment pointed to trying Taco Azteca. My dad was down for some tacos so we hit up Taco Azteca before we got to gaming. I actually drove by the place, missing the turn to get there due to the strange parking lot situation. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.

This ties into the excellent service, as the food came out relatively quickly. The staff was friendly and engaged in conversation. One standout employee, Jose, continually checked to ensure that we had everything we needed and addressed any issues we had promptly. The ambience was clean, with staff wearing gloves while cooking. They were consistently cleaning, wiping down tables, and sweeping the floors. These are just a few aspects I look for when visiting a restaurant or food establishment.
