We went for lunch today and it wasn't super busy but there were plenty of tables filled. The crowd wasn't noisy and the environment was welcoming. We were met quickly and served our food quickly. The waitress wasn't pushy and became available when needed. The chips and salsa were crispy and fresh. I ordered the empanada plate and you get four well packed beef empanadas with queso. I had so many high hopes for this restaurant because all of the other people that left reviews & from a couple of friends saying this place was the best. I left a little disappointed. I have to say parking was easy but I can see why others complain about it. We sat down at a cleaned table as soon as we walked in. Waitress took our drink orders, came back and took our food orders as well as brought chips and salsa. The chips were kind of bland in my opinion, the salsa they provide for the table was very good though! Waitress brought us our food, and after that she kind of disappeared for a little while. It wasn't that busy, there we're about 8-9 tables with probably 4 total servers. I had finished another drink and was waiting for her to bring me a water, and that took longer than it should. But no biggy my friend and I were catching up enjoying each others company. The food was so very bland. I was shocked. Even the beans had no flavor. I was shocked to say the least, even more so because I had red sauce on it too! I'm not sure if we came in an off day, because based on others reviews they rave about this place. But alas, my overall opinion is that this restaurant was very mediocre. 1 docked star for service & another docked star for food quality/taste... maybe I'll come back to try once more, but it will be very low on my list to get back around to do. read more

This is a staple for my family and I. We go frequently and get a variety of plates. Their chips and salsa are fresh and unlimited. You can't go wrong with their combination plates (however they will stick the crispy taco/chalupa near sauce and it will most likely be soggy, fair warning). Their barbacoa has good flavor, and their plate is enough to share between 1 and a half, maybe 2 people. Not to mention, we've gone in with a party of 8 and the food always comes out fresh and quick. I can think, off the top of my head, of about 6-7 places serving Mexican/Tex-Mex food within a 1 mile radius of me. Agave, Vallarta, Sonia's, Fidelo's, Las Cholulas, and a few others, but no place, NO PLACE around here is serving up grub quite like Caracheo's. From the crispy tacos to guisada, asada, enchiladas, even the burgers are top notch. Not to mention the service is always on point too. And if you're a lover of tripas, you can not pass/these up. The restaurant is pretty big n there he one thing that really sucked was that there were alot of tables that were dirty n needed cleaning n then after I got my order she told me ty n I left, when I got home I opened up my boxes of goodies n the chalupa was delicious the beans were on point n the toppings were plentiful so that beauty went down nicely then I tried the enchilada not impressed the gravy was way too thick n not enough cheese so one bite n I was done NOW that taco!!!! Woo, this place has tripas & a wide variety of tacos! I usually just eat 1, but I figure if I'm going to Yelp, I need to really taste! So 3 tacos later & I'm miserably stuffed. I can now recommend that you come by & try the tripa tacos, on hand rolled corn tortilla. Ya, baby! When's the last time you had a hand rolled corn or flour tortilla? The tripas literally were amazingly fresh & scrumptious. Cooked as per my request medium, to slight crunch! Ok! Now to try my 2nd favorite taco, carne guisada with cheese. Im leaving 1 star only because of flavor and hospitality. I ordered a Barbacoa taco on corn. It tasted very spoiled and corn tortilla tasted freezer burn.The employees tried to get me to order something else and unfortunately the food left a really bad taste in my mouth, I didn't appreciate the very young waitress laughing at the fact I didn't like the food . We all work hard for our money and I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't like at all. I took one bite , and yuck . I will maybe try it again but not very soon. read more

You can also get them with enchilada sauce if you don't want the chili. Puffy tacos were delicious, as well as the fresh warm chips & salsa. Rice and beans were on point and the iced teas was perfect! Daily lunch specials are $5.99-6.99 with tea included. It doesn't get better than this for inexpensive Mexican food. I love this place, I don't go enough! The current pictures that are up are out of date, they've since remodeled the floor and extended the restaurant! And they have A/C that works now!!!! It would be so hot in there in the summer! I usually just get breakfast tacos to go, but they're nice on the phone simple and to the point. Barbacoa is good, all meat no fat. Pork chop taco is a little greasy but the flavor is good. And the carne gusida con queso taco is amazing. The meat is tender and the gravy has a great flavor! The only thing I don't like about this place is that they went up in price but that's the economy for you :( For example in the picture posted the barbacoa taco $1.99 it's now $2.19! Carnitas were on special when I went so I ordered the carnitas plate with rice and beans (pictured) and actually sent it back. The pork was mushy, greasy, completely flavourless - truly awful. I'm assuming it was made the prior day and then reheated in a microwave. I reordered and went with simple chorizo and bean tacos; they were mediocre at best. I will say that the green salsa they sent out with the tacos was fantastic, but not worth coming back for. read more
