This place is fire!!! Yes the wait is super long (I waited closer to 30min and they told me…read more15-20min) but if you can't wait that long for good ass food then gtfo of the line. I got the garlic shrimp and noodles and it's so good. It comes with a sauce on the side that is amazing. The portions for $17 are also insane. The plate is huge and could last you at least two meals. Don't come here if you can't do the long wait for amazing food. The people running this are nice but there are only 3 of them serving everyone so be patient and you will be rewarded with the best plate of food you've had in a while.

I was about seventh in line right when they opened and was told the wait would be about 25-30 minutes, which I was totally fine with. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting almost two hours for my food, which was pretty disappointing. I ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp and pork, two papaya salads, beef skewers, and Lao sausages. The garlic noodles were flavorful but a little too oily for my taste, pork was dry. The beef skewers were good, but the Lao sausages were definitely my favorite part of the meal. They were delicious, especially with the crack sauce that came with them! The biggest disappointment for me was the papaya salad. I absolutely love papaya salad and will travel pretty far to find a good one, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the flavor just wasn't for me. I noticed they use lime juice rather than fresh limes, and I personally really don't enjoy the taste of bottled lime juice in papaya salad. The location also made the experience a little difficult. There isn't a parking lot, and street parking is very limited on a busy street/intersection. I ended up having to wait in my car because finding parking nearby was so difficult. The surrounding area also had an unpleasant smell, which didn't make the wait any more enjoyable. Overall, I really wanted to love this place, especially after making the drive. The Lao sausages and crack sauce were definitely the highlights, but between the nearly two-hour wait, difficult parking, and the papaya salad not being what I hoped for, I'm not sure I'd make the drive again.

If they aren't busy the food comes out very quickly and even when they're packed it doesn't take longer than 10 minutes.

I love the idea of Filipino and Middle Eastern eats in one food truck!…read more I used to frequent this yummy food truck/tent when they used to come to the Kaiser Vallejo and Oakland farmers markets pre-pandemic. Their truck/tent was always colorful and inviting with friendly workers. My favorite and go-to was the shawarma wrap, which was huge, flavorful and delicious. I also liked their lumpia as a side dish. I just tried them again at the Spring Brews Fest in Todos Santos Plaza today and had to get my OG chicken shawarma wrap- it's literally been years since I had it. The wait was pretty long but expected at peak hours of the event. Although it was still good with the flavorful chicken, fresh produce, and tasty sauces, the wrap was smaller than I remembered and more expensive by a few bucks. The staff was working pretty hard cranking out all the orders so I gotta give them credit for surviving during the pandemic and economic crisis. The menu has some other tempting items like my people's pancit, adobo - I'll have to try their combos and the shawarma fries next time I see them in town!
