Came here for lunch on a Saturday. It was not crowded at all as I did not have to wait to order. There was also a police officer in there getting food so I thought that was a good sign as cops usually know where the good spots are. I ordered some street tacos, a burrito and quesadillas to-go. The wait was not that long and I made use of the awesome salsa bar while I waited, filling up the little containers with goodness. My order came out and when I got to the car, I checked it, and good thing, because they forgot my quesadillas. I had to go back in and wait another 5 minutes for them to make them. They were apologetic and it wasn't a big deal. The meat in the steak taco was a little too dry for me, but the tacos are a good size. The pastor was decent, but nothing special. I love tacos, but again another average taco joint located in Richardson, Texas. I have been on a mission to find me some GOOD street tacos. These were just ok. I walked in on a Saturday evening. They only had a few customers, so my wait was not to long. The cashier was friendly and I started looking around. I noticed the place was clean. So I placed my order for a shrimp and steak taco. I love that you can get flour or corn tortillas. Both tacos were alright. Nothing stood out for me. I enjoyed the fact they offer like 7 different sauces. I played around with them. Delicious tacos! I am glad to have a Tacos Y Mas in the neighborhood and was thankful that when I tried them they definitely hold the standard I have come to expect in their places. They truly are the jewel of taco places! Great tacos. I really applaud the owner, a local Dallas guy who started this chain. Awesome food. Authentic and well made tacos. My favorites are the bistek and the specialty taco Veracruz with fried fish. Oh, and the cowboy taco for breakfast. Absolutely delicious. Tonight I ordered dinner from here via GrubHub. When I saw the torta cubana on the menu I jumped. I used to live in South Florida so a real Cuban sandwich? Yes! Alas, this was nothing like a Cuban sandwich. It had some good shredded pork, an inedible rubbery chicken fried steak, some poor quality ham and two pieces of Spam, topped with an orange sauce, lettuce and tomato. Nothing like a Cuban sandwich. Disgusting. The Food was just as bad as the customer service. I was also charged for a platter that includes a drink and then told the drink only applies on certain days. I told the young lady the menu isn't updated to reflect that, she just shrugged and pointed at a sign above the register. The young lady working there was not polite at all and usually that's an indication the food will be disgusting and it absolutely was. The beef taco was some kind of oily greasy grounded meat and the chicken taco was clumpy shredded meat I couldn't bare to eat the chicken because the meat was pink On some parts. Even the beans were gross I ended up throwing the food away after two bites and I was unable to eat the remaining tacos because I knew my stomach would be upset. Tacos y mas is a great spot for tacos! I love this place! The tacos and sauces are amazing! I've had them for breakfast and lunch. All of the street tacos are a great value for the price. The cashier, I think her name is Andrea, she is is always pleasant and smiling. She is friendly and helpful. The best part other than the food is the salsa station. It has a great number of sauces, pickled ones, pico da gallo, cilantro, and a number of addictive sauces. Even the spicy sauces are hot and will get you hooked. I'm going back for Taco Tuesday. They said all tacos are $1.99! How can you beat that? You have to at least give them a shot once. I eat there at least 3 times a month. I've had a lot of tacos from Taquerias, but here it's a good mix of gas station and retail. If you made it this far, you are obviously in need of a good taco! They're open early, and kinda late! I hate giving bad reviews when the customer service is good. This was my second visit and it was just as bad as the first. I got the fried cod and it was just a breaded frozen fish tender. For some reason I was expecting beer battered and fresh. My second was beef fajita. Veggies were good but the beef had the texture like it sat in a warmer for a long time. We ordered breakfast here and when we got home were missing 2 little tacos. I called to tell them they were missing and they passed the phone around until finally the manager got on and said 'let me check' he then proceeded to ask the cook while I was on the phone if they were put in the box. She said yes and he came back to me saying 'she says she put them in the box'. It's horrible customer service that on an order of more than $40 plus a tip worth more than the price of the two little tacos they want to argue with a customer. We wanted to support local businesses especially during this time, but we won't be back if they want to argue about a small fixable mistake. Let's see... Can I say anything positive about my experience with this delivery? Well, it wasn't delivered upside down like some of our recent deliveries through Door Dash. The driver drove past us to deliver other meals and drove around more than a hour with our food in her car. I had to call both Door Dash and Taco Y Mas. I've now tried Tacos Y Mas two different times and was disappointed on both occasions. Both visits took place during lunch hours, at a time I would expect peak business. The restaurant chain has a history of very good reviews but I think the food is just "meh". I've tried the street tacos along with their signature and seafood tacos. Positives - corn tortillas have a great flavor, salsas are tasty and they have a wide range of different levels of heat, fried cod on Veracruz taco was very good. Negatives - meat on the street tacos was dry and largely absent of flavor (tried the pork, chicken, and beef); fish tacos were served with lettuce instead of cabbage and without any further sauce, "signature" taco featured meat that was equally dry and underwhelming. With so many other options I can't say I will go back to any of their locations around town, close to me or not. They aren't a particularly good value either. If you've had tacos from either Fox Fuels or Fuel City you will be disappointed at the cost and quality of tacos from Tacos Y Mas. read more

I called and spoke to Denora and ordered food and usually when I order To-go my food is on the table with my name on it and I can pay for it. But today the food wasn't made basically, and Denora said l have to pay first? She then made me get back at the end of the line. But I had already ordered my food already, so my food could be ready. Mention, I was at the beginning of the line. But when I spoke to Denora, she made me get into the back of line. Then I said to her that I didn't want the churro anymore, and Denora said under her breath: "yeah she can get whatever she can afford" to the first day trainee. I was very shocked, because I never received such treatment from an establishment before, let alone from a place I so frequently visit. I left. It's extremely sad. I don't know what Denora's role is in the restaurant, but she needs to be changed out by someone else who appreciates their customers, has good customer service and doesn't lie to their patrons when they made the mistake.
