Can't remember what this was under the apps but it was a hard pass

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I highly recommend reserving a private booth for a more intimate experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sushi is absolutely phenomenal but I was a bit disappointed with the portion sizes and one appetizer in particular. It won't stop me from coming again and trying something new.

Booth

Called ahead for a 7 pm reservation for a booth as I knew it was a Friday and would be crowded due to Lent. I waited 35 minutes for a booth. I would imagine calling ahead would get me seated faster rather than all the people who are friends with the staff getting seated before me. Food was okay but was not worth the price or hassle to be seated.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the area! They have these cute booths that have sliding doors, so you can get some privacy. The servers are also very friendly, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I usually get sushi (spicy tuna is my fav) and it never disappoints. Definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't yet.

The quality has gone down hill for the past few years now. Overpriced, rushed, cramped, and below-average. I skip it all together now.

Where is my food? Ordered over an hour and fifteen minutes ago from a table inside the restaurant. I'm hungry!

We have loved Ginza since the Massapequa days and try to visit every 6 months or so!…read more Today my husband and I visited for lunch and, as always, it was exceptional. The service is always very warm and attentive with the perfect balance of checking in without being overwhelming. My husband ordered the chirashi lunch and I ordered the Bento C but substituted shumai for the spicy tuna gyoza, we also split a 3 roll combo, and added a piece of ikura for my husband and shitake mushroom roll. The bento c is my absolute favorite. I always order it especially because the kani salad is the best. The thing about Ginza is that it is truly amazing quality and you really get what you pay for, especially at lunch. We have leftovers for tonight as we clearly overdid it but I'm certainly not complaining. Can't wait for our next visit!

This was definitely a five star experience…read more The vibe in this place is very cool and as advertised: "Swanky New York City"-ish. Food did not disappoint. Ordered chicken skewers to start followed by the sushi/sashimi dinner entrée. The skewers were delicious and perfectly cooked. The fish was extremely fresh and the pieces were generously portioned. Solid service....attentive and balanced. Thankfully, we beat the rush because the place was full by the time we got ready to leave. The parking lot is a little crazy, so just be careful of drivers and pedestrians not paying attention. But the food!!! So good. I would absolutely visit Ginza again.

Online ordering was available which is always great and food was ready in the time promised. Ramen broth came separate as it was for take out and the spicy miso looked nice and creamy. The flavor overall was very potent. You can really taste the miso and sesame oil. They did not hold back on that miso punch at all. Slices of pork were thick and perfectly cooked. Was able to break the pork into pieces with ease. The half egg... made me wish I got the second half!

The owner actually recognizes us when we come in, which always makes it feel really welcoming and personal. That kind of hospitality is rare and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we need, so every visit feels easy and enjoyable. The place is small, but its a cozy environment. The ramen is also consistently amazing. You can tell a lot of care goes into the broth and ingredients. One of my favorites is the tonkotsu ramen. It takes a couple of minutes for them to prepare the dishes, but everything is made to order. The broth is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor--exactly what you want in a good tonkotsu. The noodles have the perfect texture and the toppings always taste fresh. It's one of those bowls that's comforting from the first bite to the last. The miso ramen is another favorite. It has a bold, savory flavor and that warm, hearty taste that really hits the spot when you're craving ramen. And just like the tonkotsu, it's always consistent, which is a big reason we keep coming back. We've also tried the teriyaki chicken and it's really good too. It's tender, flavorful, and the sauce has that perfect sweet and savory balance. It's great alongside ramen or even on its own. Between the delicious food, the consistently great ramen, and the welcoming service, this has easily become one of our favorite spots. The fact that the owner recognizes us makes it feel less like just another restaurant and more like a place we're always happy to come back to. If you're looking for great ramen and really friendly service, I definitely recommend checking it out.

My husband and I have been going here for years, twice a month. Our last visit, about 6-7 months…read moreago, we had a VERY different and not so delicious experience. We said to one another, they must have a new owner and after seeing the previous most recent review confirming that, I had to share our experience as well. The sushi was different, we order the same rolls every time and they were made with different ingredients this time (not as listed on the menu). The hot food was burned, and tasted bitter and not flavorful as it previously had. Portions were smaller. We also asked for a side of mango sauce for the sushi (some rolls have it drizzled on top), we get this every visit, and they told us NO, they do not give a side of sauce! Very disappointing transition to new ownership. We haven't been back since.

This was a beautiful and fun afternoon at one of the two Sake AYCE establishments on Long Island…read more The great things: 1) A lovely and warm welcome with smiles from both servers. 2) Immediate seating. They did fill up in the next 45 minutes. 3) The same price all day. No jump for dinner. no separate or upgraded menu after 3:45 pm. 4) Regarding the food - Sake has one of the most extensive and well rounded menus for an all you can eat Sushi/Sashimi n Chinese restaurant. They have 27 appetizers, 8 lovely salads, ( the spicy Kani was a popular one ), 7 types of soups, 9 different teriyaki items, special rolls and some really good quality sashimi- I got the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. The fish, gorgeous - melt in the mouth, fresh, generous portions and the accompanying wasabi and ginger was very, very good. I love that the house salad came with plenty of sesame ginger dressing( photo); the miso soup was hot and delicious. I ordered the pink lady special roll and it was outstanding. Again, everyone probably heard me moan in Ohio. 9 different desserts including ice cream, Oreo cheesecake. They have the best shrimp teriyaki with 20 pieces of big and juicy prawns grilled to perfection with that aroma and a light but addicting sauce over it. 5) Loved the iPad to order which went right to the kitchen vs the paper handwritten do overs. 6) Loved the service - attentive, caring, very polite, alert! 7) Loved that they offered both a senior(65 plus) or a military with ID discount( both 10 percent). 8) Loved the free parking right outside the back door. 9) Loved the decor, the colors and the vibe with a very cute bar. 10) Loved the clean men's restroom. Very nice and peaceful. I will definitely be back.

This place doesn't seem to be slammed all of the time, but don't let that fool you. The service is excellent, the fish is great and the timing of the food is wonderful. When we go, we usually get a hot green tea which is authentic, hot and tastes delicious. We usually also get a soda which is decently priced. The servers are always polite and friendly even at times where they have been super busy, but they seem to always be on their toes and welcoming, especially with recommendations. The menu is large, but its a great menu filled with wonderful items and not just items to fill a menu. The simple rolls are always fresh and on the larger side. Every time I go, I usually get the salmon avocado roll and some sort of "specialty roll". This time we got the Scorpion Roll. Inside- shrimp tempura, avocado & mango. Outside- kani salad. Top- shrimp, tobiko & chef special sauce. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We also always recently have been getting the udon noodle soup, which was big enough for 2 to share, if you are getting other items. Nabeyaki Udon Stir fried noodles & vegetable Tempura shrimp, egg, chicken & with shrimp vegetable in soup. IT also comes with shrimp tempura on the side and we used that to dip in the soup and it was just absolutely delicious on a cold winter day. The Minami tuna was new to me and it was probably one of the simplest items on the menu, but one of the best. I highly recommend. It was tuna, avocado stacked with some sort of spicy mayo, with a crab salad on top. It was simple and wonderful. IF you are looking for a local sushi spot that doesn't miss, definitely check out Minami.
