Ordered vegetable fried rice for my son who is Vegan and they put eggs in the fried rice..very disappointed. The portions were very small and difficult to find the vegetables which were chopped so small and hard to find. Overall the fried rice was tasty but expensive given the small portions and nonexistent vegetables. read more

I've eaten here a number of times over the years. Food is always good, and same goes for the service. Last time I came for hibachi and ordered shrimp and steak. All of the food is well seasoned and they give you a lot of food. Steak was cooked to a nice medium. Pricing isn't bad and is comparable to middle of the road sushi places. Never had to wait for a table, but the restaurant is also always full which is good. I haven't ordered sushi from here only hot food, so the next time I come i'll have to order a roll. read more

After liking Tai Show on my initial visit, I have been back a few times. The truth is that the food is just "ok" and I have found the service to be a little overbearing and somewhat annoying. I just think there is better sushi in the area and the food at Tai Show has been consistently average. It's a shame as it just misses, but has seemed to have missed like 3 times in row and you know what happens with three strikes. Additionally, the servers attempts to be overly friendly seem more condensing then anything else. Ordered several dishes from Tai Show last night for our family, food was delivered extremely fast. Was disappointed as we received an incorrect item and one item was mismissing. I did contact restaurant and doordash to complain and didnt ask for correct items to be redelivered. I was truly surprised when shortly after the restaurant made a delivery of food to correct the error and to apologize. They truly went above and beyond with customer service. I did feel bad after about complaining being the times we are in. As far as their food it's delicious. We ordered shrimp & scallops, shrimp & steak and short ribs. Each dish came with a generous serving of fried rice, chicken soup and a salad. We enjoyed the food very much and have enough left for another dinner tonight. They will mot disappoint. read more

The sushi and other options are really delicious from Tai Show, we always have a great time and it always seems to be a really busy place. They have great little private booths so that you and your friends can enjoy your meal with some privacy. The servers and other wait staff are great and always on top of their game. Ive tried many things from sushi, to tuna tataki, to some of the hibachi options and everything has always been consistent and delicous. My only complaint is that this place is pretty pricey. You can usually get 2 rolls and an appetizer for around $30-35. We would love to come here more often but hold back because of the price and how other places do offer great food for a more reasonable price read more

This is the worst sushi spot I've ever been too.... They have such a careless staff and they take forever. The spicy tuna roll looked like blended up tuna carelessly rolled in rice on a plate and it tasted even worse!! We complained about it and the waitress tried to insist that this was how there roll tastes with that being said, she ended up getting the manager after I said I don't want it anymore. One of the best places I've had a romantic dinner in! We ate in one of their "private" booths where we were first asked to take our shoes off and leave them on the outside of the booth. Nice touch. You need to call ahead to reserve one of these, but its worth it. Although you heard everyone else around you, you definitely had your share of privacy. The sushi is fresh, especially the tuna, and the staff is friendly. Drinks are good, too. Weather you eat in bliss with your date privately or on the outside, it is time and money well spent. read more

When we sat down my friend ordered sashsimi and sushi, some to take home and the waitress gave her a nasty look and said "you know that's 2 entrees". my friend told her she is bringing some home and she said "ok that's a lot of food". judging her and questioning her choices. The sushi more than makes up for the "smallness" of the place. I suggest the Volcano roll, Wayne roll, and the Dragon roll. The staff is awesome and prompt but as a previous reviewer mentioned the bathroom is really small. I'm a 5'4'' Filipino so I am by no means large but the bathroom is about the size of an airplane bathroom. I didn't take away any stars because the bathroom was very well kept but just small...if it is that big of a deal to you just go before you get there! read more

Solid choice for sushi in the south shore Nassau area. They seem to always have very fresh stuff and they have lots of creative rolls that actually taste good (unlike a lot of other places where they have creative, non-tasty rolls). Service is just ok, could be better. This place seems to always be busy so there can be a wait. Not quite as good as Kotobuki but def a solid second place. read more

Tai Show has been one of my favorite sushi spots for some time. Close to home, friendly service that remembers you and quality food. They know how to treat their costumers and have acquired a loyal customer base. Their parking lot is spacious and they are open late which contributes to their success in my eyes. The wait for a table (or booth) is never more than 15 minutes when I have been. They allow small parties (2) to use the booths which I think is awesome. I also noticed each of the booths is named after a different city in Japan. Wine, beer, sake and cocktails are available. Great spicy mayo. Their food is fresh, however I normally go for specialty rolls here. Sashimi and sushi are OK but on the 2 occasions I ordered the sashimi platter for 1 I was left satisfied, not WOWED. Still an awesome spot if you're going out with friends(the staff definitely has a party mentality). All around clean, efficient and awesome. read more

Good hibachi place to run out with a bunch of friends. a little crowded sometimes and not much room but it is a good time and they have good food. The chef is always entertaining. You are always greeted when you enter and you can choose to sit and watch them cook the hibachi or you can sit at a regular table and they'll bring it over to you. Always good. read more

The food here is consistently good. I usually get the gyoza (which is pretty awesome - but I like gyoza) and a special roll. Most of the special rolls seem to be named after people and I like the Rasheeda roll. The cocktails are tasty and the service is very good. The waitresses are friendly (Jasmine is my favorite). Returned for lunch last Monday. Food was great as usual. Had the 911 roll which is no longer on the menu, but they still make it. It is basically a spiced up John Jr. roll. Uni with quail egg was nice and fresh as was the rest of the sushi. They now have Sapporo beer on tap, which is served in a frosty mug. Vivian roll (sub yellow for white tuna), john jr. Steve and Debbie.... Octopus/eel you can't go wrong. They are the most hospitable group of people I've ever met.... I really wanted to hate this place and I'm a little sad that I enjoyed it as much as I did. I came here for a birthday dinner with 6 people on a Saturday night with no reservation. We were seated really quickly although not in one of the booths. I split an appetizer (shrimp and cheese wrapped in seaweed and fried) with a friend and had the Dominick roll as my dinner. Both were fantastic. The roll was perfection and it was very light on the rice which was nice since I'm trying to diet and I don't want to get full on white rice.
