The mechanic said the belt was structurally intact and looked new but was responsible for the sound. He said he sprayed it with WD 40 which eliminated the sound but informed me it would come back eventually. He told me I could replace the belt to eliminate the sound permanently or I could pass on replacing the belt as it was still functioning properly and brand new. Definitely a mechanic I will be back to visit as I know they are not trying to stick me with random charges for parts I don't need.

Since it was within walking distance, I figured I could get my oil changed while taking care of my appointment and have my car ready by the time I was finished. When I returned, I was informed that two of my tires needed to be replaced, my battery was failing, and I needed new windshield wipers. My initial thought was to have them write everything up so I could take the car to my job and have the work done there. However, the technician showed me my tires, and they were worn all the way down to the white threads. At that point, I wasn't sure I'd safely make it back to Buford, so I decided to have the work done on the spot. While I was waiting, my mom picked me up and took me home. As time passed, I started reading online reviews and quickly became concerned because many customers had negative experiences and complained about long delays. Since I really needed my vehicle, I called the shop for an update. I was told they had to pick up my tires from another location, and since it was already close to 5:00 PM, I worried they wouldn't finish before closing. When I asked what time they closed, I was told 7:00 PM and assured the car would be ready that day. To their credit, they delivered exactly as promised. Before closing, they called to let me know everything was completed. I was relieved that my experience was not like many of the reviews I had read. The next day, my mom and I happened to be back in the area. She reminded me that after spending all that money on repairs, I should see if they could help with my headlight. I'd been driving around for months with a replacement bulb because I couldn't get the housing open to install it myself. We stopped by, and my mom went inside. A few minutes later, the same gentleman who had helped me the day before came outside, changed the bulb for me, and asked why I hadn't mentioned it earlier. Honestly, with everything else going on, it wasn't even on my mind. He took care of it quickly, and I was very appreciative. Overall, I had a positive experience. The staff was honest about the condition of my tires, completed the work when they said they would, and even helped me with an issue I hadn't originally come in for. Based on my experience, I hope the business has made improvements and continues providing this level of service to future customers.

The regional manager was informed and I was told I would receive a TOTAL refund however, the manager is now attempting to refund me a PARTIAL refund.I have been trying to resolve this since May 2026. I do not recommend the Firestone location on memorial in Stone Mountain Georgia. I believe there practices are unethical and I am seeking the full refund that was promised.
