Employees were super friendly and we were excited that they were showing the telemundo World Cup coverage. The menu was great. We split the carnitas plate and got Long Island iced tea. The brought out complimentary chips and salsa as well. The salsa was so good! The carnitas plate was awesome. It came with rice and beans and plantains. It was perfect for us to split. If we were still hungry, we already had planned on ordering à la carte tacos, but the plate was perfect. We were pleased. The menu was great, food was good, drink was good, and we had a nice time! I'll definitely come back!

Completely different menu. Food was beyond sub par you can make the food at home and would taste better! Save your money. Everything we had from two orders of "taquitos", "esquite", quesadillas and a blood orange mojito. The only thing with a bit of flavor was the esquite, but again to pay for roasted corn on the cob with just mayo and cheese? For $13 ? NEVER AGAIN. I have a problem with the way they name their items which is a bit misleading. For example, they have an item called taquitos, meaning you would expect a rolled fried taquitos. What came was tacos dorados so why is it named taquitos? They DID write on the menu that it's fried tacos..but again why are they not just calling it TACOS DORADOS? Same with esquite typically esquites are corn off the cob but this was on the COBB and yes it was described on the menu as on the Cobb but again why not call it ELOTE instead of esquite. Clearly this is semantics but just frustrating. If you want authentic Mexican food there is a Don Cuco's around the block that is WAY better than this place. They are at a different tier than this Kalavera's location. If you're a drinker perhaps that would make the food taste better...so disappointed and a waste of money!

This was my first time trying Over Under Public House. I walked away pretty disappointed. I decided…read moreto keep things simple and ordered the wings because I wasn't looking for anything too heavy. Wings are usually a pretty safe choice for me, so I figured it would also be a good way to try the place for the first time. The first thing I noticed was the size. The wings are inexpensive, but once you get them, you can kind of see why. They're pretty small, definitely smaller than what I'm used to getting somewhere like Wingstop. That's not necessarily a dealbreaker if they're cooked well and have good flavor. That wasn't the case here. They have quite a few flavors to choose from, and I went with the Cajun and 24K Gold. Neither one really did much for me. The flavors weren't terrible, but they weren't particularly good or memorable either. I wouldn't order either flavor again. 24K was sweet with a little spice and the cajun was just a lot of dry seasoning that didn't do much. The bigger problem started once I actually began eating the wings. After taking a bite, something about the meat didn't look right to me, so I opened the wing up a little more. There was a very dark purple/brown color around the bone. I checked another wing and found the same thing. Then another one. Eventually I started pulling apart most of the wings just to see what they looked like inside, and over half of my order looked this way. The photos pretty much show exactly what I was seeing. I understand that chicken, especially around the bone, can sometimes have darker or purple discoloration and that the color by itself doesn't mean the chicken is raw or unsafe. I'm not claiming that's what happened here. But from a my perspective, when you're trying to eat wings and more than half of them look like this inside, it's just really unappetizing to me. Once I noticed it on several pieces, I couldn't stop checking every wing before eating it. At that point, instead of enjoying my food, I was sitting there pulling the wings apart and inspecting them. That completely killed my appetite. The texture didn't help either. Some of the meat was dry and stringy, so even putting the appearance aside, I wasn't enjoying the wings very much. I couldn't finish the order. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, and I can only judge based on the food I personally ordered. I didn't try the burgers, sandwiches, or anything else on the menu, so I'm not saying everything here is bad. But as a first experience, this definitely wasn't a good one. I didn't finish the food, I didn't feel like I got my money's worth, and nothing about the wings made me want to give them another shot. Based on this experience alone, I wouldn't recommend the wings, and personally, I probably wouldn't come back.

The host sat us down at a two top. It felt quite small, so we asked if we could move to the booth that just opened up. Very pleased that they didnt even hesitate to let us. We ordered the house IPAs and they were deliciously hoppy. Will be back to try their other house beers for sure. We ordered the brussel sprouts with bacon for our appetizer. The figs was such a nice sweet layer to the crispy, crunch, and tart brussels. Paired well with the bacon too. Ordered the proscuitto with arugula flatbread for our "main". Amazed that it was $14 and it was a pretty big flatbread! I would say that the proscuitto wasnt spread out enough. There were some pieces that didnt have any at all! The proscuitto gave the salty, arugula added a nice pepper flavor, and the honey drizzle gave it a sweetness. Checked all the boxes. Will definitely be back to try more of their bar bites, if not just for that flatbread and beers!

If you come during peak breakfast hours, I would definitely expect a wait. I ordered the wheat pancakes with fruit and granola. I also ordered their basic breakfast, which includes three eggs, and I opted for fruit (although you can get home fries, hash browns, and other sides as well). The pancakes were warm and fluffy, and the fresh berries went really well with them. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were great, and the meal came out hot and nicely prepared. The eggs were prepped over medium, as requested. The eggs plus the fruit made for a quick and healthy breakfast, complemented perfectly by the pancakes. Overall, this was a great breakfast experience. Good food, great portions, welcoming service, and a comfortable neighborhood atmosphere. Parking and seating can be a little challenging because of the restaurant's size and popularity, but the food makes it well worth the visit.
