My first time here. I came with my best friend and we felt very welcomed. We ordered the chicken tikka masala which was very yummy. I will say it is on the creamier side in comparison to other chicken tikka masala's I've tried, but very yummy. The chicken tandoori was to die for. It was very tender and everything I dreamt of. If it's one thing you need to try from this restaurant, it would be the chicken tandoori. The staff is very nice. 4++ small mom and pop Indian café/restaurant located in a small lot across from the Palms metro station. The service was friendly and the menu was pretty extensive with Indian classics and a good amount of my vegetarian options. I actually came to this place right when it first opened. This place used to be a sandwich counter and deli. My first visit I got the butter chicken, but on this visit I got the chicken tikka masala. I'm so proud of the owners of Tandoori Eats in giving our community great authentic Indian food for many years. I wrote the first review of this great restaurant quite a few years back. I was thrilled then and I'm even more impressed today. We devoured our food tonight and I couldn't be happier for their success. Our take out order was as follows: One order of Chana Masala, two orders of Chicken Tikka Masala, one whole Tandoori Chicken, one order of Lamb Saag, both Pilau and Saffron Rice, two orders of their incredible Onion Kulcha Naan and a small order of their Cucumber Raita. Plus Tamarind and Mint sauces. The food was amazing and the portion sizes huge. I've been to India quite a few times and my wife and I even attended an Indian wedding. Good prices, very good food! We've tried a few things now. We love the chicken tikka masala and we also tried their biryani. Which was DELICIOUS. Found this place during a trip to Santa Monica. So many Indian restaurants to choose from when in LA, but this one was conveniently close to our destination. It doesn't have too much of an Indian theme in terms of decor, which is unfortunate. I love when I walk into an Indian restaurant that truly immerses itself in its culture. The TV was on but only the Roku screensaver was playing. Would have loved to have seen some Indian music/dancing or even some cricket. Food was spicy (as requested) and had a good taste. Was all very filling and we took boxes home with us. Really enjoyed the samosas; I love that each Indian restaurant has their own way of making them. But this was one of the best I've tasted. Service was fine. It's a simple indoor restaurant, and I'm sure they get regular patronage from locals. Biggest downside for me was that they don't have public bathrooms. The best Indian food in Los Angeles!! We've had so many great meals from Tandoori Eats. Recently, we enjoyed their Chicken Korma: creamy, a little smoky and very rich in flavor. Outstanding! We also had the amazing Goat Karahi. You don't have to get it with goat if your timid but I recommend it. Try it with lamb, chicken or shrimp it will take your dinner to new heights in flavor. We went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was not busy at all with only one other person eating in and one person ordering takeout. We started with the paneer pakora, then ordered the yellow daal and the mixed grill along with plain naan for our entree. The pakora came out quickly and was tasty and crispy. The mixed grill took a while but we were told that when we ordered. It came with chicken, shrimp and a lamb kebob. This is a nice variety if you want to try all their tandoor cooked meat. The yellow daal was so delicious and a little spicy (we ordered medium spice). Overall a solid Indian place for delicious food! It was a little pricy as I paid ~$60 pre-tax for 4 dishes (the mixed grill was $26.99 I think, so it was mainly for that). We ordered the mango lassi to go and drank it on the walk home.
