Total ripoff. Least amount of chicken I've ever received in the Tika masala. Flavor wasn't great but not the worst I've had. 70$ for a few items was not worth it. I know their food is always expensive but you gotta leave satisfied. Buffalo sauce on the wings tastes nothing like Buffalo sauce, but that was probably the best part of the meal. Just ignore the Buffalo house sauce and think of it as sweet wings instead. This restaurant is an absolute gem. The atmosphere was nice -- warm and welcoming right from the moment we walked in. The employees were very friendly and willing to answer questions if you're not too familiar with the food. I ordered the chicken tikka appetizer and it was delicious! The meat was fresh and tender. WOW. My husband and I are from Los Angeles, and we love Indian food. We have our go-to spots at home, and we like to think we know what's good and what isn't. THIS IS GOOD. We can both honestly say this is some of the absolute best Indian food we have ever had. The flavors are incredible. The meat is all tender and juicy. The rice is cooked to perfection. We ate there two nights in a row because we loved it so much. I never would have expected that you could find such quality in such a small speck of a town, but my God is it excellent. If you like rich, creamy flavors with plenty of spices (but not too hot unless you ask for it) and perfectly tender meat, this is the place. I'm already daydreaming about driving four and a half hours when I have a craving. For reference, we ordered the paneer tikka masala (sauce on the sweeter side, which I love, and very tender paneer), chicken biryani (meat so tender I cut it with my flimsy plastic to-go fork), lamb korma (lovely creamy curry sauce with flavorful and soft lamb) and garlic naan (our fave spot back home has won awards for their naan and this is just as good). Our appetizer came out and it set the bar high for the meal however the entrees that followed left more to be desired. We got a gobi manchurian to share and it was flavorful and came out nice and hot. Then our chicken tandoor, chicken tikka masala, and dhaba chicken curry came out all warm and left us searching for flavor. The chicken tandoor ended up being a whole chicken vs a half on the menu but that might be due to the size of the chicken, the meat on the chicken was a bit over done leading it to be dry. The tikka masala was overly creamy and lacked some spice or curry. Finally the dhaba chicken was pretty good but needed to come out much hotter temperature wise. read more

We were not pleased with the customer service over the phone and in person. The person we spoke to seemed to have an attitude or be in a bad mood. We were trying to switch from rice to bread and they didn't let us. The foods came in small portions, and was not worth the price. It was all spice no flavor. I love spicy food and I know flavor and this food lacked it. They also use red chicken that has unhealthy dye. Conclusion: You're better off going somewhere else. The whole experience wasn't pleasant and I understand food in the Yosemite area is expensive but I'd rather pay for good food. read more

Our family of 4 had dinner here and really enjoyed everything we ate. It was a Monday night, so not very busy but still they had customers. We got seated immediately upon entering and the young guy was welcoming and helped us pick out food, though we knew what we wanted. He was in fact a bit pushy on adding food items but we went with it. We got saag paneer and it was amazing as well as the chicken Tikka which was so flavorful. The prices were quite high for the quantity of food. The desserts were 6/7$ but they came in very tiny quantities.. The dishes of meat were $17 and had maaaaybe barely 4oz of protein. As far as the price, I think that's likely due to the fact that it is quite a far, mountainous location and requires extra transportation for all those ingredients. I ate here and the menu has been significantly reduced since the last time I ate here. I am vegan and gluten-free. Nothing on the menu is labeled as vegan or gluten-free. I had to ask about everything. I don't mind asking, but it makes it difficult when the server doesn't seem to know or is unsure of their own answer. The server we had spoke in a whisper and with all the dining room noise was difficult to hear. Between the reduced menu and lack of gluten-free options, I will not be going back. There is only one thing in the menu I can eat, so it isn't really worth it. As small as the menu is, it should be easy to label everything. Also, the place is frigid. The place wasn't packed and we were seated within a few minutes. And thats about as good as the service got lol Mind you, we were only there for about 35 minutes, and within the 35 minutes we only received our 3 waters, which barely even had ice lol im an ice lover so thats disappointing. Other than that no one asked if we were ready to order, they barely looked in our direction, and when we were given our waters not a word was exchanged. Takeout is okay. Dining in is awful. My mom and I were completely ignored almost the entire meal which took about two hours. We never received refills on our drinks, no one asked if we needed anything or if the meal was okay, and we got the incorrect naan (we asked for garlic but got the plain naan instead). Considering no one came back to the table for the entire duration of the meal, there wasn't much we could say or do about it unfortunately, and there was a lot of sitting around and waiting after we were finished. Once the waiter finally decided to return, I let him know we didn't receive the garlic naan we had ordered, and asked if I could also place a to go order for my husband who was at home. His words were "there's garlic on it" and then he turned and walked away and didn't return to the table. No garlic naan or to go order for me I guess. We finally flagged him down 20 minutes later for the check to which he then basically explained to us that we had bad service because it was busy...even though it wasn't. He just never came out of the back area to check on anything, so I guess maybe he was "busy" back there? But he said he would take the naan off the bill. We wait another 20 minutes for the bill that never comes, and then he walks by saying he'll take care of it up front. Okay...that would've been nice to know when we asked for the bill, but I guess he forgot to mention that? He didn't take the naan of the bill like he said, he just charged me for the regular naan rather than the garlic, which was fine because that's what I got. I also didn't want to argue, because after two hours of being there I didn't really care anymore. We were the first ones in and the last ones out, and definitely WON'T be back again. Tried this place because it was supposed to be open late arrived at 10:21 pm and they close at eleven they were getting a table ready for us but then all of a sudden they told us takeout only... everything tasted good we ordered the chicken tikka masala and Chana masala and raita... and a yummy mango lassi spent about $43 the tikka masala I felt like didn't have enough chicken in it... I think the service was a bit lacking they told us it would be ready in fifteen minutes so we left to buy some drinks and came back when we came back there was another group they was waiting to pick up their food and I ended up getting mine before them only because i was being pushy and walked into the restaurant disappointed in the service but didn't have a choice since even McDonald's was closed even when waiting for someone to come to the front so I could ask for my food the front door has a sensor that rings anytime it opens so I purposely opened the door multiple times in hopes someone would come out so I could get my food... my rating is pretty much based on the whole experience which in my opinion was not great. I hmm order originally did not have utensils so I had to go back into the restaurant to get some but yet again no employees around to give utencils.. A surprise gem and must visit (especially for vegetarians) on a trip to Yosemite. Solid Indian restaurant. This place really seems to have declined in the last several months. I'm not sure if there is new ownership, or new staff? I order take-out quite a bit, and the last few times they have gotten my order incorrect . When I picked up my most recent order and told them the front person that the dishes were not correct, she just shrugged. In addition, the food has become incrementally spicier and spicier (hot spice). In the past, I always ordered medium level of heat, but now even the mild is too hot. I've ended up throwing quite a few dishes away when I get home because they are simply too hot to eat. I won't be going here any longer. read more

Ready right when they said it would be, everything was hot and fresh and tasted great. I had the chicken curry and a bullet naan, my wife had gobi manchurian and veggie samosas. No issues with any of the food. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the portions could've been a little bigger for the price. I hate to give a local business in a relatively remote place a low rating but I draw the line at sanitary quality. Planned to order a few appetizers as takeout after a day long skiing at badger pass. Ordered a chicken Manchurian, paneer tikka and chicken sheek kebab. There was a wait time of 30 min but no big deal, there were a couple of large tables dining in, the kitchen was simply busy! After I picked up the order, the paneer tikka was a tad too well done aka burnt to a crisp. The sheek kebab was too underdone coz it felt more like batter. Disappointed I turned towards the chicken Manchurian, to be fair the sauce was pretty neat but when I bit into the chicken it was very very rare. And it smelt awful! So I ended up throwing about $50 worth of food in trash. I appreciate comfort food at vacation spots even if it isn't great! But just delivering undercooked meat at substandard quality isn't acceptable! Only saving grace for the 2 star is the Christmas spirit of all this happening on a Christ eve! read more
