I came here with my family recently and we ordered: - two kids meals - Korean wings (tangy & spicy) - soondubu & bbq combo - bibimbap with spicy pork Despite it being late in the afternoon, service was a bit slow. It took awhile just to get someone to come and take our order, provide water, etc. But once the food arrived it was delicious! The kids' meal comes with banchan (kid-friendly) and I love the option for mixed rice. The spice level of their food was quite good as well. My husband and I both have high tolerance so we appreciated the kick of spice that the wings have. Their banchan is quite good--my favorite was the tofu. It took awhile at the end to get the waitress' attention for to-go boxes and the bill, but overall we had a nice lunch. read more

My family and I stumbled upon this place and had just an amazing experience! Sure the food is a little pricey but overall it's really delicious. We had the pork belly, fried sesame chicken, and Kimchi Jjigae. Everything was so fast to come out and very fresh. This was a tasty meal :) You can never go wrong with Korean food! My friend and I were in the area and saw marinated raw crab and went inside. Although I didn't have the raw crab, I'll be back for it! I ended up ordering the corn cheese and Dolsot with Galbi. The galbi is an extra $5 and I got 4 pieces. It also came with extra rice on the side. The galbi was marinated well. I really enjoy listening to the plate sizzle so mixing up my Dolsot was a fun experience. I expected the corn cheese to be a bit more melted when served, but it tasted great. The selection of bonchon was perfect- kimchi, fish cake, and raddish were my faves. Our servers kept checking in on us and I saw them checking in with other tables as well to make sure we were all taken cared of. The place reminded me of a seafood boil layout and the bathrooms had an open area for the sink so you don't have to go inside the bathrooms to wash your hands. read more

The quality and service of the new restaurant went down since the change. My family came here for lunch on a Monday. We were given a table in the corner however the floor had rice and food. Looks like a toddler sat at the spot and the Staff never swept it. It was pretty bad and I did not want to step on rice. Then the high chair next to the table had food still and it look like the Staff never bother cleaning it for the next baby/toddler to use. It was pretty gross. We asked to sit at another table. We moved to another table but there was rice and food on the booth seat! I ended up wiping the food off with a baby wipe since there was no Staff around. Here are my comments: 1. Dolsot - size of the bowl is quite big however the rice was not crunchy on the bottom and it looks like they did not heat the bowl long enough to create the crunchy texture. 2. Korean pancake - size is decent and dish is overpriced. The pancake was quite soggy and not as crispy. Once I picked it up, it fell apart. I think the flour mix was not mix well. I was disappointed. 3. Ordered the combo with a protein and tofu soup. The server forgot the galbi Jim and we had to ask about it. It's a combo right? How can you forget the protein? I figured the Staff was not good on checking what we ordered. 4. Side dishes- very sad looking. Only 6? The server took our pitcher of water and said he will come back with a refill but it never happened. Also the restaurant was not even busy so not sure how this was forgotten? Overall, the quality and service went down. I will probably not come back. They need to do a good wipe down of the table and seats , and area before the next customer. I knew what I wanted to get already because they have a menu right outside before you walk in. Im sure this place used to be bowl'd but same concept with the kbbq. There is a bar and good amount of food seating. They have a non alchoholic beer option which us great for people who dont drink. Love the lighting in here with it being flowers and the painting on the middle ceilings, noise is fairly low if you go in during a lunch rush. I came on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was about half full. They have tablets at every table so it's convenient to order and food came fairly quickly. However, the food was a let down. We ordered the tonkatsu, tofu soup, seafood pancake, raw marinated crab, and bibimbap. The tonkatsu looked nothing like the pictures. It was cut up into small pieces and the breading was coming off of the pork. The portion they gave us also small. The dish looked not very presentable. Taste was meh. The tofu soup was good. Seafood pancake was $18 but only had a small portion. At $18, I'm expecting something bigger. Raw marinated crab was average. The portion they gave was again pretty small considering it was $38. The taste has a tingling feeling on your tongue which was kind of weird. The bibimbap was a good size but nothing to rave about. Yes they are very good, it used to be Bowl'D if I'm not mistaken, they improved a lot and I'm so glad they now offered Special Price for Lunch Menu which kinda cool it gives local people in Alameda a chance to get a good deal and a good Korean Food I highly recommend this Korean Soot in Alameda I love their Seafood Combination Tofu Soup, their bimbip is also good and their Kalbi Every thing is excellent !!! read more

Since the food and service was great for lunch last week, we opted to book the restaurant for my son's birthday dinner for a party of 15. Tonight, the service and food fell short. We started with appetizers for the table and then individual orders. The appetizers were great. But when it came to the individual entrees, they forgot 3 of the orders and we didn't get the eggs for any of the 4 tofu w/bbq combos. We had to ask for the banchas. That's how disappointing the service was. They were not adequately staffed and by the time the reinforcement help arrived, we were done with our dinner. The food was no whereas great as last week. We dined in on March 4, 2026, and Troy was our server and he truly made the whole experience amazing. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. He checked in at all the right times without being overbearing and made sure we had everything we needed. Super patient, helpful, and just all-around great energy. The food though... BOOOOMB. The spicy pork belly was to die for. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat. Definitely something I'll be thinking about for a while.
