Being a college student, I'm on a tight budget and since I just needed a trim, I decided to just try a SuperCuts equivalent down my street. I've never been more upset with a haircut. It looked choppy and I felt I could have probably done a better job myself. Although I had already lost more length than I intended, I called Tangles, ready to spend however much it cost to at least improve the situation. Brande told me to come in immediately. She made me feel so much better about the whole situation and did an amazing job of making my haircut look more natural while not taking away any more length. While she was working her magic, we got to talking and I told her how I was going on a date that evening. She was so excited for me, she offer to do mermaid curls to my hair. I was amazed at how well they turned out! She completely turned my day around. Once I was 100% happy with the result, I got out my wallet, ready to tip for her amazing work. She wouldn't accept any money! She was just happy to fix my hair and my day. I've never been so impressed with a salon in my life. I know exactly where I'll be getting my haircut at from now on. DANIELLE BURDICK is the absolute best. I have followed her through 3 salons, and will continue to follow wherever I go. I live out of state and have lived out of the country and have literally scheduled my hair appts around trips so I can specifically go to her. I have been searching for a good style/colorist for about 10 years and finally found THE ONE!! So that's why I'm willing to those things! Not only does she ALWAYS exceed my expectations (and blows me away by her talent), she is honest to God one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Her outgoing personality and sweet demeanor make it hard to not love her instantly. Best of both worlds. When I moved out of state to Colorado, I started working in a very upscale, full serivce salon and absolutely no one there has compaired to the kind of stuff I've seen Danielle do. The first time I walked into Tangles I was impressed with the positive energy of the place. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the place always feels clean. I've been with my hairdresser, Danielle, for at least four years now and, when it comes to my hair, would follow her to the ends of the earth. When she moved to Tangles, so did I. She's a special lady who knows just what I need to feel great about my look. Every time I see her, I spend the next week getting compliments on my hair. I love that she doesn't pressure me to cover my white hair, instead making my "natural highlights" work. She has a great touch with all age groups. Took my daughter here last week. We were the last appointment for the evening with stylist Shaleen. My daughter had a horrific experience from a previous salon that had 2 failed attemps to dye her hair the way she wanted it, therefore making her hair very damaged. Shaleen was very honest about what she could do to fix her hair and that she would do her very best to get it the way she wanted it. At the very least, make her happy before we left. Needless to say after a long 4 hours, with shop closed, she performed a miracle, my daughter was so happy she cried... Shaleen's attitude and eagerness to please was not only refreshing but down right excellent. I would recommend this salon hands down. And the topper, prices were surprisingly reasonable. I recommend working with Cassandre Fox. She's an amazing colorist. She has been doing great work for my family for a decade. She has worked in a couple of different salons and my mom refuses to give her up as a colorist. My mom is super picky about her hair. Cassandre can achieve a wonderful natural look by mixing several colors for highlights and lowlights. She's done several color corrections before on all of us. Let me tell you, what a transformation she can do! She listens to you and encourages you to bring a picture or two of the color and hair style you would like to have. She will be honest with you about what is achievable and realistic. She promotes healthy hair and scalp and won't do anything to your head just because you want her to. For a long time I refused to go to hair stylists due to an unfortunate incident with a woman who got a little too over excited with the idea of giving me short hair. Needless to say, I ended up looking like a little boy. When it got around prom time I was in desperate need of a new look and found Danielle! I have been going to Danielle for 5 years now for and she is one of the sweetest, most accommodating people I have ever met. Well let me start out by saying I'm very picky with my hair! So when my stylist was over booked I was forced to look somewhere else. Needless to say I found the FABULOUS SHALEEN at Tangles! She is my GO-TO Girl! Listens to what I want, offers her opinion and BAM I have a great new color and cut every time. What more could you ask for? Went in for a trim with face framing layers. I have very straight, pretty thick, and fine hair so mistakes on my hair type are very noticeable. My stylist was very sweet and friendly however, the layers I left with were choppy and could have been blended better. I left with my hair being shorter than I initially wanted it to be and I had to touch up the uneven pieces of my hair once I got home. Feeling underwhelmed with the result for the price that I paid. WoW!! I refuse to believe any complaint towards Kara. I have been going to Kara for awhile now and can honestly say she has done a GREAT job every time. I have recommended many of my friends and they still go to Kara to get their hair done. When Kara completes your style she makes sure you leave happy. I came by the salon and got my nails done, but the salon was so crowded. I didn't really like it because I always see and smell people getting their hair colored. And I just don't enjoy it. It just really noisy, and I just can't really relax in the salon. So, I am moving to Tsume Nail Salon, which is also located in Los Gatos because it is clean, relaxing, and I get my own privacy. read more
