First experience with this venue. Friendly staff and a nice variety menu. I ordered the Tap Burger. It came with au jus for dipping but unfortunately the burger itself fell apart before I could pick it up to dip. Too many wet toppings made it only edible using a fork. I just noticed this restaurant opened in my area and so I thought I would give it a try. I found out that they are a chain and there are several locations in the greater Denver area. I really liked the atmosphere, but parking wasn't ideal. The food was good. My order was correct, but my friend's order had an error. She chose not to say anything. The staff and servers were very polite, professional and helpful. I was a little bothered that when we went to pay the bill, we were told that there was an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill. I'm not bothered by the fact that the staff gets a 20% automatic gratuity, because I think it's probably well earned and I hope that it will ensure good service because of it. I was bothered that we weren't told of the automatic gratuity until it was time to pay the bill. Automatic gratuities for a party of three is not normal, so it would have been best to advise us when we sat down. Also, the prices and value were a little shocking. I was in a party of three people; we ordered entrées (burgers and fries) and beverages, but no appetizers or alcoholic drinks. For the three of us our bill was almost $75!!!!! Despite liking the atmosphere, the people and the food, it is highly unlikely that I will ever go back because of the value. read more

First time here. The food was good, the service was average. Meals were a little pricey but market average I'd say for a burger joint. My pain point is the 20% "service charge" already added to the bill. I am typically a generous tipper, but the thought of having them force it on you is wrong. Don't go there an hour before they close. They will meet you at the door and say they're close. We're on vacation & it sucks that there's nothing open. We tried the restaurant I was told it's only opened a week and a half I ordered a mushroom burger I wasn't getting much burger as I ate so I opened the bread and seriously the burger must have been like an eighth of an inch think. First time I ate a whole burger and was still hungry. Then it says we add 20% on your check? I usually tip 20% percent but for them to assume I am going to tip 20 no matter what is a little rude. I will pass on going back. Oh and I ordered it medium rare and since it was so thin there was no juice at all and was probably med well to well done. 10/10 would recommended. We're traveling through from the east coast. Spend the night in Westminster before traveling to Steamboat. We stayed across the street at the Orgin Hotel. We decided to walk across the street to check out Tap and Burger. We read the reviews prior to going and noticed a lot of hate on the 20% service fee. We sat down and Kaylee was our server, she immediately told us about the service charge. Kaylee was awesome, great service and kept the drinks cold. The food was some of the best we ate. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. They had sports on, great atmosphere with an open floor plan type restaurant. All in all we had a great time and had to come to yelp to put a capeesh to the haters. Kaylee even told us at the end we didn't have to Tip because we already were charged it. read more

Started coming to Tap & Burger in Westminster over a year ago, but only recently did my honey and I truly feel like we're becoming regulars. This joint has quickly made it to the top of our nearby restaurant shortlist. The staff is helpful and very friendly, but we're going to credit our recent returns to Brittany (apologies in advance m'lady if I spelled your name wrong). Folks, you can tell Brittany has been running front of the house fine dining for years ... she's AMAZING and T&B is super fortunate to have her. She's welcoming, super friendly, looks you in the eye, helpful, authentic, conversational, and just obviously cares. Not something you see much of these days. Brittany makes us want to come back - thank you! Now to the food and beers... the Mac n cheese (add bacon, trust me and our server Eden) is so wonderful. Creamy, spicy, a bit of crunch with the toasted breadcrumbs... just yum. My husband's go to is always the smash burger and recently he's been getting the sweet potato waffle fries. Burger is a classic and fries were outstanding, and he doesn't like sweet potatoes. I really like the black and blue burger. Anything with blue cheese rings my bell, but really this is pretty darn good. Beer selection is healthy and atmosphere cant be beat. Thanks Tap & Burger! We'll see you again next week! read more

Had a good first experience here and plan to come back; wife and I had a Tap Burger and Patty Melt for lunch. Both were quite tasty and the service was good. -1 star because despite the signs saying "vaccination required" the person working the front door didn't bother asking anyone. read more

Tried out happy hour on a Monday. We snacked on all the good healthy options: French fries, taquitos and queso and chips. Everything came out fast and hot. The staff was very helpful and attentive and overall just awesome. Mom tried some beers and was happy now IPA will be on the way Would recommend. We will be back. read more

I've never been to a Tap and Burger before but the staff here were amazing! I was shocked to hear they only recently opened (I'm just visiting from Chicago). We stopped in for a quick bite on our way up to Boulder and the food was amazing!!! We had the Buffalo cauliflower and Empanadas and they hit the spot! Both dishes were better than I've had back in Chicago! The spicy ranch was out of this world! I can't wait for my next visit home to stop back in here and try more! read more

Absolutely horrible service. 3 servers sitting at the bar while tables go without service (granted they may be on break, but who sends so many people on break while there are tables going without service?). 2 other servers walking around, but ignored our table. Today we went to have lunch. I ordered a salad and asked for no bleu cheese because I have a sensitivity to it. When my salad came out it had it all over it. I told the waitress and she took it back and said they would fix it. They literally took off the chicken scraped the bleu cheese off and gave it back to me. I got sick from it and they claimed it was a new salad. It very well was not a new salad. Extremely overpriced for the quality, and quantity of food. Although small & expensive, my burger was very good, but the fries were old & cold. The service was the worst part of the meal. My family and I are very tolerant of the lack of service in this era when no one wants to work for a living. We not only accept bad service, we expect it these days. Even with that considered this place was next level bad. After being seated we waited over 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were then given a carafe of water that tasted like mop water along with no apology for the wait. While we sipped our chemical water we watched a couple that came in after us get waited on, and place their order before us while another couple got up from their table in an attempt to find someone who would wait on them. This all happened on a Saterday about 3 pm in a very non busy restaurant with what appeared to be plenty of staff (I can't imagine what it would have been like if they were busy, or short handed). At the end of our meal when the check came we found out why the service was so incredibly bad. The waitress informed us that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to every bill iregargless of party size, or level of service provided negating any incentive for their employees to even attempt to provide good service. This practice also negates any incentive for customers to leave a larger tip if the service was good enough to justify it. I am always one to give any place more than one chance, but all things considered, and with this toxic policy in place I don't believe they were just having an off day, and I will never try this place again. If you still want to try this place for yourself I suggest you do it soon. It is very unlikely they will be around very long given the many better dining options in the area. read more
