Love this little place on Roosevelt Row. Whenever we go, it's never too crowded. There is indoor and outdoor seating, standard tables, high tops, and comfy chairs. They offer board games to play ay no charge. The concept is that you get a key tag and can choose and pour your beer or wine on your own. The food is really good and in my opinion goes beyond your simple bar food. My favorite is the sweet potato waffles fries loaded with bacon and Bleu cheese. Amazing concept and very well executed. I've been here a few times now and I've always had a great experience. Went for brunch beers with a buddy and it's always a pleasure to see how many local brews that they have on tap. The variety is also nothing to scoff at. I had been living downtown for a few month and only just recently discovered this little gem near Roosevelt Row. Once inside you get a little chip that can be scanned on the back wall full of draft beers, ciders, and wines. You fill your own cups and can go back for refills anytime. The food here is also amazing. I love the birria tacos and the burgers. They also have live music on the back patio from time to time which has always been so amazing. When I tell you that this place is not worth it, i mean it is NOT WORTH IT. First time here so we walk to the register and wait as the people ahead of us are being explained the process. Then its our turn, we were given a quick half ass explanation of what to do. You are asked for an ID and a credit card PER key that they give you, my husband & I obviously have the same account so he gave his card & the chick looked at me and was like "your card?" So i obviously told her "the one he just gave you" "i need ID and card PER key" she repeated. The fuck? Thats dumb AF! Moving on. Per key there is 32oz loaded, you can drink them as you want, pints, tasters whatever. Cool concept, poorly executed. Please take a minute or 2 to look at my pictures. Its nothing but foam! Now, Ive been pouring beers for my dad since i was a kid & he taught me exactly how to pour a beer and not get foam, so at first i thought "am i just rusty at this?" NOPE, i watch everyone go up and get nothing but foam. So you get 32oz on your key...but you only get half a beer, let the foam pour out & fill it some more(well there goes more ounces!) All in all we ended up with alittle over 2 beers & a few chips that they call nachos & paid just shy of 60 bucks. This place is a gem! We loved everything about it: the ambience, the concept, the food, the music & the people who run it. We did not drink but I am loving the concept - you're given a keyfaub special to you & use it to pour your own beer from the many taps along the wall. You could taste everything if you wanted to! Our server, Ashlee (sp?), was so pleasant & recommended the Huevos Rancheros which I ordered and my husband had the Chilaquiles with a side of the peppered bacon....WOW!!! Their Chef, Eric (sp?), knows what he's doing...you can taste the love he puts into his dishes What.An.Explosion.of.FLAVORS!! The selection of beers is pretty good and the place itself it pretty cool inside. Plenty of IPAs for me to choose from. The system is pretty easy to understand. My first beer was mostly foam...money down the drain for me in this case. The second beer poured nicely and was good. 32oz of beer for $24 is not a great deal...almost a bad deal and you pour it yourself. The food did look good, maybe I'll be back to try it but there are so many options around here. read more

We went out here on a Saturday night with a group of about 8 people. We had been to a somewhat similar form of bar in California and were excited to try one here in the valley. The location is in a great space between several other local bars and eateries in the booming downtown Phoenix that has grown so much in recent years. When you walk in you check in with the hostess and they explain the entire process to you and additional requirements with COVID which is great for first timers who may have questions. You'll receive a plastic tab that will be linked to your name and ID so that you won't get them mixed up with someone else. Each tab is loaded with up to 32 ounces of beer and 12 of wine before you need to get additional ounces added by the staff. There are several kinds of glasses available for the different kinds of beers and a handful of wines on tap. As beer drinkers we were happy to see that there were a variety of kinds of beers and also that they featured some local breweries. Each tap lists on an ipad what the ABV and IBU is for the beer and some even have little descriptions as well. They also list how much the beer costs per ounce so you can have an idea of what you'll pay. Once you decide what you want just tap your plastic tab on the ipad and begin your pour. As you're doing so it'll also tell you how many ounces have been poured and how many you have left. We opted to sit on their outside back patio which was great for less noise and gave us some more privacy. They provided us with some large bottles of water for the table and some really good bar pretzels. The waiters were always around if you needed anything but we didn't get to eat this time around so we'll need to come back again. Overall this was a great place with a really nice atmosphere and between both of us we only spent $42 for about 6 different beers we hadn't tried before. Really cool self-serve concept located near Roosevelt Row. It's perfect for a back up drinking spot in case your other plans of drinking doesn't work out. It's really easy to follow the process of pouring your own beer. The bar also features patio seating which is nice because inside one could feel a little cramped. Beautiful space with a great vibe, we visited this new spot yesterday on their 4th day of being open and we look forward to coming here often as we are local downtown residents. The beer/wine on tap concept is great and gives you the flexibility to try out different beverages, some beers had way too much carbonation and a couple of times I had almost an entire glass full of foam instead of beer, keg carbonation definitely needs some improvement. We ordered the 5th street salad and it was delicious! I wish grilled chicken was an option for protein to add because it would go wonderful with this salad. Another excellent repurposed home off of Roosevelt in DTN PHX. Yogurtini-like concept of selecting your own drinks and how much to pour. Staff was fun and helpful. Ambience and food terrific. Patrons actually talked with each other (cross-groups). I would like a couple more IPAs on tap, but the one of there two was the best one I've had in a while so I really can't complain. You pay by the ounce .... So try as many as you want! Rosa was the BEST! She is super friendly and took the time to explain the entire process for how to get our beers. I reserved my review until we had a chance to visit a couple of times and unfortunately we had the same experience each time. First, the food is very good! The concept with serve yourself is also great with a wonderful selection of beers and kombucha (and some wines but didn't try those). So if ALL you care about is good food and a good selection of drinks where you can pour as little or as much as you want, this is your place. Now, the reason for the 2 stars... the service is SUPER unfortunate. You are barely acknowledged when you walk in (and hardly at all while you are there). Once you are seated, you'll likely have to hunt someone down to put in a food order and it takes FOREVER to get your food, not to mention getting condiments (if you get them at all, because getting the condiments AFTER you finish isn't helpful... and coming from someone that takes forever to finish my food, this was just laughable). The last thing is it is self-serve (beer, wine, etc). Considering we are in a pandemic I would have at least expected hand sanitizer to be available to patrons to use prior to touching the tap wall, but there isn't (bring your own). Super unfortunate. As long-time fans of supporting local eateries and breweries - esp downtown, my husband and I were so pumped to check this place out for breakfast!! Our first visit today was SUCH a disappointment. Pretty sure we've never felt more judged at any establishment in our adult lives. Our visit looked like this: * Walk in with our daughter to a awkward greeting as if we were in the wrong place * We then get asked if we were drinking alcohol, to which my husband said yes that my wife (me) would and the host scoffed saying "oh really??" while looking at our daughter. I'm sorry but what a strange question to ask before ever being seated and in an establishment that has a food menu full of great breakfast options. * We're then asked to give our credit card before even being seated. We had to awkwardly ask why because it seemed strange for a sit down establishment?? * we were brought to small empty taster-type glasses at the table. When we asked for cups for water, the gentlemen pointed at the two glasses, laughed and walked away. They were barely bigger than a shot glass so we were a bit surprised... This place is very lovely inside and not a straight up bar. We've been to many places in the valley and would never bring our daughter along somewhere we felt was not kid friendly. I understand they just opened, but it's an absolute shame they felt we shouldn't be there and made us feel so uncomfortable. Needless to say we opted to leave before ordering anything. My hope is that this review will bring some awareness to the owners that they've got to improve on soft skills for the staff upon entry. CHECK YOUR BEER POUR RECEIPT - See below for details First, I want to say I love the concept of this place. I have then jalapeño burger and my wife had the lemon pepper wings. Both where above average. Based on the food we would return. Our bill was actually lower than expected, and I asked the hostess to see the beer pour receipt as our receipt did not have the amount of each beer we had. She was able to pull it out immediately as it seems it was printed at the same time as our food receipt. We where told it was for internal audit usage, but she let me look at it. I told her that two of the four beers on the list did not look familiar and I asked if this might be someone else's receipt. "No this is yours", I was told. One of the beers on the list was a sour, and I hate. ( yes, sorry... hate) sours. At this point, she told me that they have "never had a mistake on the pour system" but told me she would get the manager. This is where things went bad. He was rude and said there is no way a mistake was made.... He said he had help to set up the system and it is impossible to have a mistake. I mentioned that there was a sour on the list and there is no way we poured that. Ok, I know what you are thinking.... It was not my wife.... One of her all time favorite beers is on tap her, so she only had that one beer. To make matters worse.... Yay, it gets ever worse... Before I noticed the beer issue, I had been over charged for one or our "father's Day specials" it should have been $4 off. The hostess refunded the original amount and was going to reduce the bill by $4. When i got home and checked my credit card statement I had a charge not for $34.99 but for $77.98. ( I will try to post a photo of it. $40.00 for what? I was told I would not be charged.... It would have been simple to prove there system was working.... There is an issue here. Please check your beer pour recipes. Why don't they give it you when you cash out? Seems extremely strange. If you find issues, please post one star reviews here. I would like to track them. This place is cool in that you can get whatever beer you want whenever you want. The environment is really great. However, we paid $ 34 for 2 beers (see photo). And you pay for the foam if you're not good at pouring or if the beer you choose is extra foamy. I know I generally like a more expensive beer, but $34 is a little bit steep when I've only had 2 beers. I asked a staff member if the bill was right and she assured me that it was. definitely a cool environment and food was good but watch out for beer prices. read more

Not only was the beer, wine, and food amazing, but the spelling bee was so much fun. We will be back. If you plan on going for the spelling bee you don't have to study the dictionary. I got very strong "you're not welcome" vibes from some of the staff when I went last night. It's really ashame too because it's such a cool looking place. I could sense that they may have had some bad experiences with some guys that look like me. One of the service staff members acted nervous when she was explaining that they have to hold a debit card in order to open the tab. I kept assuring her that it was fine and that I understood, but felt the need to explain more in very remedial terms as if I was going to be upset or couldn't understand English. The other staff member there ignored me twice while walking by, granted his mother was there visiting and that is very important, I just wanted to ask a question about seating. I remained calm and didn't let on that the unwelcoming vibe was felt loud and clear. I cashed my tab and still tipped the service staff member well although I could sense that she was sure she wasn't getting a tip. 15 years in the restaurant and bar industry and I am very aware of the stereotypes are about black folks being unmanageable and leaving no tips.
