First Impression: I love the perris location and really happy to see one opening closer to my house! Location: located in a very busy plaza adjacent to Costco and subsequently is overflow parking for Costco. Experience: initially, it was really good. Granted it still is good - however, that depends on who is working. I have received great service and food with equal portions, and i've received subpar service with horrible flavor and portions. when i go in an see the older man that speaks english really well.. unfortunately i turn away and leave. His portions are horrible. I am no way expecting my burrito to be jam packed with meat. I am expecting to have more filling than tortilla. I am expecting if i ask for lenga and its empty for him to say no or go restock .. not just give me scraps. For the prices and quality at times im better off going to Miguel's to get 2 burritos for the price of 1 here. Note: the agua frescas are really good. read more

Really good tacos at a good price! Wherever I really want tacos, this is the place that I would choose. I just don't like choices for the places I'm close to, they only have al pastor or asada. For this place, I love their cabeza and lengua tacos. I will order these every time i'm here. The service was quick and you kind of have to speak loud since it's all behind the counter where all the meats are at. There is also plenty of seating and I would say overall it's clean. My only issue is that the meats are so juicy to the point that the taco shell falls apart a bit... would be great if they double layered the tortilla. However, this place does not deserve a 3 star. Man!! Such a disappointing experience! First off, you walking there and it's a mess. We stood there for 5 minutes waiting for the workers to take our order.. there's glass between us, I'm sure they saw we were there. We finally get our order taken and the food was mediocre. I got the asada torta and it was literally just flavorless asada, red onions and a slap of lettuce. The bread was probably the best part of the entire meal. The asada was only at the center and none towards the ends of the bread. I also ordered a coffee horchata and it neither tasted like horchata or coffee.. just chemicals. We've noticed the construction for a while and saw the "open now" sign on a recent trip to Costco. Everything inside is new and clean. Style is identical to their other full service restaurants. Service was great from start to finish. We ordered at the counter like their other restaurants. However, they do offer tablets to order without waiting in line. The food was good, but cold when we received it. Maybe they are still working on their temperatures? They were generous with the portions. The tortillas were prepackaged and tasted thicker than the ones from the perris location. Overall, it was a positive experience. Again, the service was great. ordered: taco tray (20 tacos: carnitas, carne asada, al pastor, fish, birria), chips and guac, horchata, coffee horchata this place has gas fish tacos, but ngl don't know if i would come back. the aguas frescas are too sweet for my liking and the horchata had a chalky feel to it :/ the coffee in the coffee horchata cut down on the sweetness, but just wasn't my fav. chips and guac were hard pass, the chips were like thick bugle chips but for a tortilla chip was not good. i don't know if i would recommend but the mexican crowd seemed to love it so maybe i missed smth they were having. vibes were really fun w friends. and service is quick and efficient. the food making was cool to watch as they have a whole system behind the glass screens. they also make their own tortillas which is huge plus! read more

Honestly the other location on Moreno Valley serves up the tacos way better. Seems like this restaurant is running low on product & afraid to fill the taco with the correct meat portions. Ordered 3 tacos & it looked like an appetizer compared to what their other location serves. Even the pineapple drink tasted watered down. This place needs help from the other location on how to run the restaurant. They only had 2 people working, poor service. Being a veteran of the original Moreno Valley location, I held the company to higher standard. The express location is not a faster resort to good authentic Mexican food. The handmade tortillas were either under cooked or the masa was bad, when I picked up my tacos the meat broke through the bottom. The establishment is new but not as clean as the location off Perris Blvd . Service was speedy and friendly but the food quality of the food was not worth the EXPRESS. read more

This is one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had in my life. Talk about corporate soul less food. The burrito that I had honestly made me depressed, I swear to you, those beans are canned, and the rice has no flavor much less the meat. The best thing that they had was the Carne Asada tacos, and even that had no flavor. I had to wait like five minutes in order for the staff to help me in the ordering system is a mess. The Horchata drink is made out of powder and stinks of concentrate. This is one of the most insulting Mexican food experiences I've ever had. I want my money back. read more

My sister and I decided to stop in today for a few tacos and aqua frescas. You could immediately tell that the lady who walked up to take our order was going to be a problem; she approached us with a look on her face like she was pissed off. My sister asked for a mulita with al pastor and one al pastor taco. I requested 2 al pastor tacos and one each of asada and carnitas. The lady throws some cheese onto the grill with a spattering of meat and then put a tortilla on top of it. She then goes to make the tacos, asking me what I wanted again, so I repeat my order. She repeats back the kind of tacos I wanted, I say yes, but there's going to be 3 al pastor tacos because my sister wants one. After making ONE of each taco, she goes back to the grill and flips my sister's mulita over. By this time the cheese is burnt, but obviously she doesn't see a problem with it because she proceeds to slap another taco shell on top of it. She slides the container with the 3 tacos across to me and because I know that it's wrong I tell my sister to tell her to make 2 more al pastor tacos so we'll have the full order that we requested. She slides the container with the burned, inedible mulita to my sister and begins to take the order of the next customer, with a smile on her face no less. So my sister is just standing there when a young man behind the counter asks her what she needed. She tells him the 2 tacos. He tells the lady what we want, she ignores and continues to work on the order for the customer that was behind us so, the young man makes our tacos. My sister told them that she didn't want the mulita and why. Two out of three of my taco shells were so broken up I couldn't pick them up at all, so I just used a fork to eat the meat. Homemade or not, the shells could have been made better. No care was taken with our order and it showed. Whoever the surly lady behind the counter is (see pics) needs to not work in customer service because she obviously has an issue serving certain customers (I clocked how she smiled, laughed and engaged in small talk with the customers who came in after us). I'm pretty sure this behavior is standard practice for her and no doubt the business is losing customers because of her nasty behavior. She ruined our lunch experience but not our day, because we don't allow petty, mean, unprofessional people to live rent free in our minds. Food was excellent! I had carne asada, carnitas and chicken taco plate. All meats were equally delicious. Came with rice and spicy beans that were also very tasty. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Even the nasty lady with the bad attitude was there and seemed very nice to me. Place is very clean. Nice, heavy sturdy tables and chairs. Great menu specials. We've always loved this restaurant--the food is fantastic, and most of the staff is great. Unfortunately, today's experience was completely unacceptable, and it's not the first time. Blanca, the associate helping us, was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes while assisting us, didn't speak at all aside from nodding, and then walked away in the middle of our order. Another associate had to step in to finish helping us. This isn't the first time she's acted this way--Blanca has been very unpleasant to deal with on multiple visits, and it really brings down the experience. On a positive note, Emmanuel is the reason we keep coming back. He's amazing--always smiling, professional, and so helpful. If it weren't for him and the quality of the food, we'd probably think twice about returning. Management really needs to address Blanca's behavior immediately. read more

Mexili needs to be trained on customer service. I came in today for waters and waited in line while your worker was assisting a customer before me. While waiting, another customer came in and stepped in front me. I let the customer know that I was next in line. Mexili finished assisting the customer that was before me and then proceeding to assist the customer that came in after me. I let her know that I was next in line and she till proceeded to help the customer after me all while giggling and smirking with the lady. Mexili had seen me waiting so she clearly knew I was next. I let her know that I didnt think it was funny that I was being skipped. She finished helping the lady and then assisted me and never once apologized for skipping me. She was rude and dismissive. I don't believe I'll returning to this place. My family and I went there a few days ago and there was hardly any one there to help us. A person ahead of me was ordering which took a long time, so I decided to use the kiosk. That was not the best idea. People who came in after us were served first. I expected to hear my name or number, which is usually what happens at other places, but nothing. I didn't realize that even though I paid at the kiosk, I still needed to get in line "to pay" just to pick up food. Once my food was ready I went to the "to pay" counter. The food was sitting there at the counter ready to be picked up. I asked to grab my food but the ladies at the counter needed us to wait until others were attended to pay and to be served first. This was terrible because there were no signs stating to get in line to pay after paying at the kiosk. After waiting nearly 15 minutes, we finally got all our food but by then it was already cold. The quality of the food was not the best either. I don't believe I will be returning to this place. read more

I have come to this taco spot many times. This specific place 2 times. I arrived tonight 6/4 at 9am and placed my order at the kiosk. First thing I noticed is that they did not start my order until they finished the line that came after my order was placed. Second, when my order finally came out, they forgot to make one ofy al pastor burritos and to make things worse they did not mark what kind of burritos they were which was incredible frustrating. When I asked the lady that made them .. she was one of the cooks and was also making tortillas, her response was no. She was rude and didn't offer any assistance. Throughout my dinner she shot us looks of anger over her mistakes. It was incredibly frustrating. There was one guy that took charge and seemed to try to make things better. He proceeded to cut the burritos in half to find out what they were. When I started to finally eat it, I noticed that there was small pieces of foil around where the cut was made. I was tired just some at that point and removed it myself. Service experience means everything and it starts with that. Simple things come a long way. Welcome, acknowledge, use names when possible, thank customers and try to exceed expectations.... simple recipe to a better client experience. Your employees need better training. read more
