After ordering it one time, I just cannot for e myself to order any different! Their quesabirrias are so delicious! They load the tacos full of the tenderest and tasty birria and them pack them full if cheese. Then they are seated until the cheese is completely melted. They serve it was Chiles and sauce. These bad boys are huge and two will fill up most people. The building may be old, the chairs and tables are a bit worn, and the AC does not work well. First time here and had a combination pork ribs, refried beans and rice. Pros: The staff seem nice. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are great. The chips served on top of the beans were a big YES for me. Next time I'll get those instead of tortillas. They were delicious and crunchy without being too thin. The cheese on the beans was ample and I like it. What could be better: The rice and beans got cold really fast. A quick zap in a microwave before serving would make those the best ever! The ribs were fatty, and although they were moist on the top they were dry and beyond chewy on the bottom. Can't say I would order them again. The manager asked how the Ribs were and when I told him they were dry he turned his back and busied himself. Lol. We stopped by to grab some lunch to go on a Saturday afternoon. The owner of the shop was very friendly and let us sample some of their Consome dip. It was a little thin from what I'm used to, but the flavors were on point! You could taste the citrus in the broth and there generous chunks of Birria beef inside. We both ordered the two quesabirria taco plate w/ rice and beans (my wife didn't have rice with hers) for $15 each, and also ordered some of their Tapatio Ramen w/ Birria which was also $15. The Ramen had a nice Tapatio spice to it and there was a generous portion of Birria added. Add some onions, cilantro, and lime to the mix and you definitely got a winner! This was excellent! The refried beans had nice cheese-pull and we're delicious. The rice was good too. The quesabirria tacos were very crunchy on the outside, while being packed with awrsome Birria beef and cheese. These tacos were really good; however, I felt that they didn't marinate the beef in the Birria juice... like it was more of a pot roast flavor. I could be wrong and like I said it was very good, but I felt like it was missing a little something that would've put it over the top. Coming here there can be little to no parking and it is in an awkward area right next to Travis base fence border. As soon as you step in the fan is blowing, the air is humid, and there truly is no sense of cleanliness. It reminds me of Filipino oriental stores that I still go to, so it is a home like feeling. If I eat out I want something different, not to feel like I'm home, or else I would have stayed home. I can not complain about the service because the staff is always nice. Now for the food. I have to say the food has not always be on my side when I come; maybe it's always like that at this point. I eat here whenever my friends want Mexican food, however I like the one closer to the base entrance, they have an all you can eat salsa bar with so many selections, and it is free too! And free water cups with ice! This place does not have that! Disappointing! On top of that the food here is over priced, always dry, and salty. We were near Travis AFB and happened to see a BBQ place so we stopped. This spot is a little out of the way but so worth your time, go. It's a small spot with indoor and outdoor tables for folks, stand up and order and sit down and they bring you food. We got a cheese quesadilla, a torte Cubano, three taco plate and a quesabirria plate plus some chips and salsas. The food started rolling out about two minutes after we sat down no lie. Tacos were big, handmade tortillas and filled with meats. Al Pastor hits, get it. The quesadilla was also massive and stuffed with cheese, perfection. Chips are handmade, they were still warm and the salsas were excellent, ask for the hot red salsa, trust. The Torta Cubano is not your typical torta, it had like every meat in the kitchen plus an egg. It was hella filling and hella tasty. The quesabirria tacos were a slam dunk, crispy chewy and cheesy. The consumme was so flavorful I wanted to drink it. Family run. Family owned. Family recipes. Delicious. I forgot to say the people who work there are so nice. We stumbled onto this taqueria when we were looking for BBQ near Travis Air Force Base. There is a BBQ sign on top and that's cause they're in the old location of CJ's BBQ which closed down. But that BBQ sign was a blessing cause the Mexican food here is some of the best I've had. Since we were craving BBQ, they had pork ribs which we couldn't pass up once I saw they were being grilled outside on what I assume is the old CJ's setup. And once I saw the sign for birria tacos I could not pass those up either! Both were delicious and while the pork ribs were great, I really have to give it to the birria tacos. So tender and flavorful on the inside, while the tacos are grilled so it's crispy on the outside. The service was super friendly, very much a mom and pop stop, the portions were huge and prices were on point for all the delicious food you get. We got both the ribs plate and birria tacos plate and you can see for yourself how huge the portions are. It could easily feed 4+, so with just 2 of us, we had plenty of leftovers for 2nd lunch! A solid 4 stars!!! After eating my way through Santa Clarita, I came back to NorCal craving good Mexican food. All the usual spots had gone down hill since COVID, so I u needed to find something new and reliable. This place caught my eye because of their logo. It reminded me of a belt buckle my mother once had from New Mexico, so I knew that this was a good sign. After reviewing their menu and photos on Yelp, we rolled up to order. We got chicken nachos for the kids, a quesabirria plate for me and an al pastor taco plate for the hubs. The kitchen was hotter than Hades, and while it was 90 degrees outside, we opted to sit outside and watch planes land on base. The food came out quickly, service was friendly and everything was piping hot. Once home, we quickly ate half the nachos before even sitting down. They were that good. The chicken was tender and moist, the chips grueso and crispy and the tomatillo salsa was perfect on top. The beans and rice plates had great flavor as well. The Birria tacos were SO good and fairly priced too. $12 for a plate of two with beans, rice, salsa and the taco dip. Plus, the tacos were HUGE. It wasn't some tiny taco for for buck it was a two giant tacos! In fact, I only ate one and felt good normally two would be good though if you have a bigger appetite like I normally do. We came in town to visit my Grandma who is over 80 and apparently loves Pollo Loco. I did a quick Yelp review for some tacos and found this spot. It was definitely a hole-in-the-wall type of business. We ordered their Quesabirria Plate. Man, it was so delicious. I was afraid it was going to be enough but they were pretty big tacos. I also got their Mexican Coke to add. Yummy. I would definitely come here again. Location: You can see a sign that says "BBQ" from down the road. It looks like they share a suite with a Tattoo Shop on the other side. The location itself reminds me of eating tacos in Juarez, MX and Ensenada, MX. Once upon a time, no one had even known about birria and now it's all the rage! I love that "new" foods trend every few months. The exposure allows little cities like Fairfield to pop up with new spots to eat, case in point - TD BBQ! This spot offers quesabirrias along side all the usual suspects- tacos, burritos, etc. however I've only tried the quesabirrias. Each one is about $4 and some change but they hold a hefty amount of meat and cheese, with a side of consommé (birria broth) for dipping... or sipping. Whatever you're into! I'll be honest, the best quesabirria I've had to date is from OG tacos (worth checking out), but with that not being an option, TD BBQ is a good local choice. The first call in order we had had a minor mistake, they made my taco order into a plate instead, however the error was quickly resolved as we hadn't left the restaurant yet. The consomme they provide isn't as flavorful as it could or should be. There's some salt and depth missing. I like to throw some salsa into it along with a squeeze of lime. I scrape up some of the extra onions and cilantro from the box and throw that in too and then we have the perfect little hot tub for my quesabirria's dipping pleasure. If I'm hungry, 2 will fill me. If I'm starving then maybe 2.5 quesabirrias as I do have a large appetite. I'm telling you, all the cheese and meat seriously fill you up! They're in a teeny tiny parking lot right before you hit the Air Force base. read more

This place is so good! My son had a basketball game up the street and we were looking for some lunch afterward. I stumbled across this place. I feel like I'm eating at my grannies house when I go there and I mean that in the best way possible. It's very homey and the man at the counter Makes you feel just like that. First time ordering here and got the. chicken flautas and don't understand how you can serve someone pork instead of chicken but I definitely didn't have chicken. Very happy we came here to order dinner for the family. It was take out and it looks like they do dine in but the tables hold a party of four but I'm a party of six. So, we brought our food home. They also have outside dining too. Parking is limited, in front of the store there is one handicapped stall and one open. I'm not sure if they have more parking on the other side of the building. Ordered Taco plate, Quesabirria plate and 2-Super Carne Asada Quesadilla. Let me just say their food was so flavorful and fulfilling that we were satisfied with everything....yummy. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and their quesabirria tacos are fantastic. They DO NOT SKIMP on the meat. The green salsa is beautiful! I'm not sure if they have any deals like Doggeros does, where you can buy 10 birria for $35 but that would be awesome if they came up with something like that...and we'd honestly eat there a lot more if they did because $5 a taco is pricey when you're feeding the whole family. This taqueria is out by the base so it's far from the freeway but the food was worth it. I don't live in town but if I'm in the area I'd definitely stop by again. I ordered two quesabirria tacos and they were not stingy with the meat and cheese. My favorite thing about this place is that the consommé comes with the tacos rather than being sold separately.
