This is an independent taqueria with a fair amount of seating. I ignored the menu - they don't seem to have tamales - when I noticed a separate sheet listing a steak and prawn burrito. I ordered this; it was very large and excellent. The carne asada was juicy and had a crunchy edge to it, the large shrimp were fully pan-fried, and there were big pieces of onion and bell pepper in it in addition to the rice and beans, and some other miscellaneous ingredients like sour cream. read more

Great food, love the wet burrito with stewed chicken, whole beans & avocados. Make sure you get some delicious green peppers at the salsa station. They were closed for a bit but happy they are back open now. It's our favorite Mexican food lunch stop in Tracy. read more

came here to Tracy to chillaks with the homie. Got the birria taco which was amazingly tender and juicy runny, very delicious. Ordered the lengua burrito bowl with rice whole black beans, pico, cilantro, and sour cream. black beans over took the bowl. Lengua was tender to the bite without actually taste, seem too boiled which takes away taste. rice was simple pale yellow no taste to it. overall bowl was alright, had to add the salsa from the bar and a few pinches of salt to flavor up, lol. what gave this review 4 stars was the Pina aqua fresca. Pineapple juice had plums in it which me was an awesome bonus. would come again to try something new. read more

We took a drive to Tracy to pick up a used desk and found this place to try the birria tacos. They were good, flavor was good and only suggest to be a little more generous on the cheese. We also ordered a couple of super burritos and I'm giving this review a three stars because they were super burritos we ordered but they were hella skimpy on the meat portions. read more

My favorite Mexican food when I come home to Tracy! I have been coming here since they have opened and it's great because it's family owned and when I go in there it feels like family. The kids when I was growing up haven taken over for their parents but have kept the same great taste. The torta was great as well and the grilled chicken super burrito is always a hit! I had the super burrito with carne asada. The meat wasn't good compared to many Mexican places I go to. The meat wasn't freshly cooked it seemed. The description said there was a bathroom, but there are signs that say there is "no public bathroom". I'm never going here again. There are way better taquerias elsewhere. read more

The best Mexican food I ever had. Staff is friendly, place is clean, legit mom and pops restaurant, and food is bangin! I bet God comes down from Heaven in human form just to eat here. Every time I've been here the customers are from all different racial groups so you know they on that worldwide level. I've had their burrito (all sizes from regular to super) and it's awesome just watching them cook and make it. The Super size takes 2 big ass tortilla's to hold all the meat, vegetables, cheese, and rice. It's like a footlong burrito. So good I just ate there and I had three chicken enchiladas with red sauce refried beans and rice with avocado. Chicken was real good. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Las Comadres is as close to authentic as I've found in this area. The line is always long, but service is quick. Food is hot and delicious. I usually get the Pollo Asado w/ a side of rice & bean. You get tortillas with that plate. My dad likes that they have massive burritos that would last a normal human 2 meals but he downs them in 1 sitting =D I work in Tracy and have gotten lunch for the office from here and everyone loved it too.. read more

Don't expect amazing food, but they have authentic Mexican food. The portions are decent with alright prices. The service was alright, but it was kind of hard to communicate with the counter people. I brought the nachos here which comes with chips, steak, cheese, salsa, and avocado. The steak pieces were tiny and while it was not the greatest quality, it was not the worst either. Salsa and avocado were pretty fresh. The amount of cheese they gave wasn't that much. For some weird reason, the nachos were placed into a microwave... I guess they were trying to melt the cheese or heat up the beef? The restroom is located all the way at the end of the restaurant behind their counter. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I went there this Saturday and got Menudo instantly when I opened it the smell wasn't like all the other menudos I have tried. I should have trusted my gut and threw it away but I gave them a try and let me say I will NEVER be going back!!
