I understand that this is a fast food Mexican restaurant but the quality of the food vs. price are not worth visiting. The food is all already cooked in buffet style containers being kept warm by heated water getting dry. Well, we came here looking for a carne asada dinner plate and we were told that they only had the carne ranchera which is pieces of steak in a sauce with bell peppers and onions already cooked. I decided to try it even though I thought the plate was over priced at $10.95. They just slapped on the steak and sauce with more bell peppers and onions than steak along with dry rice and beans. They put my already made plate aside while they made my GF chicken enchilada plate she ordered, so my plate sat there getting cold. Once both plates were complete they threw my plate in the microwave to re-heat and dry the rice and beans even more. I just shook my head but what can you do, we had already paid. We sat down to eat when I tried the steak and there were barely three small pieces of steak with bland flavor and so over cooked from sitting in the sauce who knows how long cooking in heated water and on top of that being re-heated in the microwave. My GF chicken enchilada plate was supposed to be with green sauce and what they did was get the green sauce from the shredded pork already cooked in one of the tubs to pour over the enchilada. The sauce had pieces of pork (like a meat sauce) and basically made the enchilada a chicken and pork enchilada. My GF doesn't like pork and once she tried it was really bad. I also tried it and it just didn't taste right including the dry overcooked chicken inside with no cheese on top (what enchilada doesn't have cheese on top). Our experience here was horrible and expensive to say the least for poor quality Mexican food. I don't recommend this place, as you can get fresh cooked really good Mexican food anywhere else in Tracy for the same price or even less. We will never eat here again. read more

Always consistent and delicious! My go-to is the chili verde burrito, but my husband raves about their soft tacos. Carne asada, carnitas and pastor are his faves. All salsas are made fresh, not canned. The menu is extensive, but not expensive, particularly for the quality. Service is friendly and efficient. Expect a line at lunch time, but it's worth the wait. When traveling out of town we loathe eating at chain restaurants. Needed a quick bite on the way to Lodi, came across this little gem. Shared 4 tacos between 2 of us: Asada, grilled chicken, carnitas, and Chile Colorado. All delicious and loaded with meat! Favs were the Colorado and Asada. 2 ala carte tacos were more than enough to feed one person! Bargain price of $8 to feed 2 people. Clean, excellent salsa bar. Happy tummies! read more

There food is good! Has that homemade taste! I like how you can customize your order if desire . The ladies are great! Pozole is super delish on weekends. Nachos are bomb! I've recently moved to Tracy and have been craving Mexican food lately so i've been checking out all the different little restaurants to find my favorite. So far all the places i've tried have been amazing!!! Till i tried this place. Don't get me wrong the food is ok but not really anything amazing or that i will be spending my money on again. I got there nachos, chimichanga and burrito. All the meat was extremely salty and tasted old or freezer burnt. On the nachos they put very little cheese and then stuck it in a microwave the melt it which burnt a hole through the styrofoam container. The chimichanga was the best thing I tried but still not worth ordering again. My advice, avoid this place and go to another one of the many Mexican restaurants in Tracy because there are some really good one's around and worth your money. read more

After reading what a great place this is for super burritos on Tracy Rants and Raves, I went there for the first time today. The staff was friendly and nice and the food was good. My only complaint was when the lady behind the counter making my burrito used her bare hand putting cheese on my burrito. My friend with me also noticed her using her bare hand putting cheese on her refried beans. She should have used a spoon or wore gloves. Because of that, I'm giving this place three stars. read more

My 2nd favorite taqueria in Tracy! I am bummed because it seems like they've raised their prices recently. Chicken tacos used to be only $1.50, now they are $2.50. Oh well, still worth it though. While their food is good their customer service is not. I had been a long time customer, I've been eating their for years but I had a bad incident and I haven't returned. While I was eating at the restaurant I found a long dark hair in my food. I told the woman behind the counter what I found and I showed her the hair and all she said was, "Oh well there are a lot of people that come in here and it happens." She did not apologize for what happened. I was very disappointed with the customer service. At the very least I expected an apology considering I was a long time customer. As the saying goes, "Moms know best"! Well mi madre surely does. It's been years since I last ate at this spot but 2 weeks ago my parents bought me a carne asada quesdilla and i needed to know ASAP where they got it from. When I taste good food, I want more of it. The next day sure enough I ate there and I fell in love with their food all over again. Their meats has so much flavor, the staff is so sweet and nice and very clean. Excellent lengua burrito (me) and chili relleno burrito (my wife). The Super burritos are just larger than the regular (still plenty big). The salsa was bright and fresh with flecks of charred skin from the roasted chilies. Clean and fast. I'd have given 5 stars without hesitation except that their restroom, we were told, was "being cleaned or something like that," an obvious line. The best food ever.. and the owners are super nice. This is authentic Mexican food. I'm sold on there wet burritos they are to die for... There is not one thing I could say bad about this place. The owners(husband and wife) are the nicest people, there daughters are super nice. All the workers there greets you with a smile. Service is fast no matter how long the line is. Food is made fresh every day and you can see the owners and workers cooking and grilling it right in front where everyone can see. If you like home made cooking this is the place to come. This is the best Tagueria I've ever been to... Been to many but this is by far the best.. I live far from Tracy but when I have a craving for a good wet burrito this is the place to be.
