My fiancé and I used to be regulars at this taco shop. We've ordered from here for years and always enjoyed the food. Usually, we call in our order, but this time I decided to order through their website so I could pay ahead and schedule lunch pickup. That's when I noticed something shocking. The pricing on their website is much higher than on other platforms. On DoorDash, a regular taco is $3.85. On their own website, the same taco is listed for $6.04. The description online says "two soft corn tortillas," which I assumed meant two tacos (especially at double the price). When I picked up the order, I explained the pricing difference to the employee, hoping for clarification. Instead of being helpful, he was dismissive, made me feel small, and treated my question like it was silly. He even showed me their in-store total for three tacos $13.72 which made my point exactly: why was I charged $22.38 for the same three tacos just because I ordered through their own site? It's disappointing to feel taken advantage of as a loyal customer, and even more disappointing to be treated poorly when simply asking for an explanation. don't come here guys. there's so many better other places in the area. I ordered the nachose via doordash and the chips were stale. before u say anything they weren't just soggy chips, I know the texture of soggy chips because I order nachos all the time via delivery at other Mexican restaurants. these were very stale, I couldn't even eat the chips. and u could tell the chips were store bought. for good and freshly made chips and nachos, you should go somewhere like los Gallo's :P read more

I have driven past this spot many times and have yet to stop in! That is until I was doing the Concord Taco Trail and this is one of the spots on the map! I am glad that I was able to finally discover this amazing little spot! Since I was hitting many spots on the list the day I stopped by I went for a single taco. Risky I know! Everything was riding on this singular taco! I ordered a street style carne asada taco. It came on 2 corn tortillas and with carne asada, cilantro, onion, salsa and a lime on the side. Just how a street style taco should! I drizzled the lime over the taco and dove in! WOWZERS this taco was so tasty! The steak was cut up into nice small pieces. All good things come to an end. Not sure if they had a change in ownership or a new cook perhaps but my wife and I both had horrible carnitas and carne asada plates tonight. The carnitas used to be crispy with flavor and hardly any fat, lots of meat, tonight it was extremely fatty, flavorless and not grilled as usual, not as much meat either. It was almost like the pork shoulder had been boiled. The carne asada was very dry with no flavor and extremely tough. There are too many good Mexican taquerias around here, will take our business elsewhere. Others have mentioned the lousy customer service and I've been willing in the past to put up with some of that because the food was good, I'm done now. read more

I'm updating my review because I have continued coming to this restaurant and I continue to be impressed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is always made super fresh. And I've been ordering the carne asada plate lately, and they just give you SO much meat! It's always cut very thinly and tastes great. We have always eaten in the restaurant in the last but here is a photo of the order when we took it to go. I ordered a carne asada burrito and got a bean and rice burrito with a little bit of meat. The flavor of the meat was lacking. I wanted to try a different Mexican food spot and this place is within walking distance from my house. The food was hot and ready for pickup when we got there. My daughter liked her super shrimp burrito. It seemed to have a good amount of shrimp for her. But it had barely any sour cream or guacamole. I got a super burrito carne asada. It was all beans, rice and a little bit of over cooked chewy carne asada. No sour cream, no cheese, no guacamole. When I got to almost the he bottom there was one bite of salsa. Literally one bite. I had to go back and check the menu to make sure I ordered the right thing. Luckily they gave one small container of red salsa and one small container of green salsa that I put in the burrito or it would have been super dry. Pretty much everything that makes a super burrito super was missing from both burritos. I was disappointed. Not sure if we'll try it again. read more

Absolutely delicious, my only gripe steak was overcooked or else would have been 5*s. Overcooked steak is a no go for me but I find unless you really specify most Mexican restaurants do well done. This was my second visit. The first one was disappointing because the woman who took my order didn't speak English well and seemed annoyed that I didn't speak Spanish. Food was good but pricey. Regular Burrito with guac... 12.50 $15 if you tip 2.50. Yeah, if I'm paying 15 bucks, throw in a fountain drink, horchata, or SOMETHING. Chips don't count. Maybe add a special where if you buy a 12 or 13 dollar burrito you can get it a large drink for 50 cents. Something. This weekend started off with bad news for my husband (although, getting a break from work near the beginning of summer doesn't sound terrible... as long as Momma Bear is still getting a paycheck). Then Saturday we attended an emotional memorial service. So today we enjoyed sleeping in, waking up after noon. We hopped out of bed starving and Casey found Taqueria Las Palmas on Yelp. Two men were working when we walked in. The small taqueria was very clean, and the man who had been mopping the floors stopped to take our order. He answered all my questions about the menu and I ordered a grilled fish taco ($2.50) and a crunchy taco with carnitas. We enjoyed some fresh, tasty salsa and warmed chips while we waited for our tacos. I had an empty, reusable water bottle that the man who was cooking our food was happy to fill for me with tap water. They didn't have any limes (only lemons), but the salsa bar did have radishes in addition to their two salsas, cilantro, chopped onions, and sliced jalapenos. Our hot food arrived and the tacos were fresh tasting and well-portioned. The fish was outstanding. The crunchy taco shell was also really good and fresh. We were both surprised at the quality of food. I'd definitely recommend stopping in here. We went home and watched the Warriors win. And then the Giants win. Sunday: The first go around of this place went ok. Showed up around 4:55, not knowing they close in five minutes. Food was still ordered, only instead of eating inside it was eaten off the trunk of the car. I ordered two chicken tacos and a steak burrito. The tacos were good, but they were drenched in sauce. When I opened the container it basically looked like someone murdered my tacos. The burrito was also good; however, it was built in layers and I hate that. The chips were OK, but did not taste homemade at all like the salsa was. Monday: Stopped by around 4:00 and had a much better experience. For one thing the dining room was open. The girl behind the counter was very nice. The biggest difference was the food. I ordered two chicken tacos again, and this time they actually looked the part. They looked amazing in fact. They tasted just as amazing as they looked. The juicce from the chicken mixed with the sauce it was marinating in, forming a delicious super sauce. I also ordered a steak torta. For a lover of sandwiches and Mexican food, this thing was bomb. The chips still taste the same so no extra points there. I would also suggest finishing the mural on the wall. Fresh salsa bar with warmed tortilla chips for customers to take. We love their street chicken tacos - simple marinated chicken, cilantro, and onions. We usually order 6-8 street tacos for two with a small side of beans and rice. Our go-to Taco Tuesday location! Having eaten here regularly for about a year now, I figured it's time for an update. - Food: Still 5 stars, but they've had two different cooks for a while now. The evening cook (formerly at Casa Gourmet Burrito, Clayton) seasons and prepares the meats a little different (i.e. juicier and spicier) than the day cook. - Salsa Bar: 4 stars because of inconsistencies. Sometimes the salsas are bland. - Chips: 4 stars due to inconsistencies. Apparently they have two sources or kinds of chips. While both of them are mass produced, one of them tastes better than the other. - Ambiance: Unchanged (hey, it's a taqueria, not a restaurant) but with more homo sapiens huddled around tables, sneaking in chips past their lips, than before. - TV/Radio: The evening crew apparently prefers the TV while the day crew prefers the radio. I think the music on the radio (93.3 FM, La Raza) sounds better. Of course, I don't speak or understand Español, so what the hell do I know. - Overall: 5 stars (with caveats above) because I'm biased. You can find better burritos and tacos in many places, but none in a 20 mile radius of this one. read more

Ummm why have I never been here before? I have to give a full 5 stars. This will be my new place to go when I don't feel like driving all the way to Los Tacos De Pancho (which will always be my first love) BUT anyways..back to the food The pork enchiladas with rice and beans was delicious!! I think some of the best enchiladas I've ever had before. My boyfriend got a steak taco with rice and beans and he loved it. We also tried three pupusas (can you tell we love food)..the cheese, pork, and also the bean, cheese and pork one. So so so good! Can't wait to come back and try some more.
