Food was quite good overall, very flavorful and fresh. The gyro meat had lots of spices and seasoning cooked into the meat. It was slightly dry however, but not too bad when combined with the tzatziki sauce, chimmichurri, and other veggies. I had leftovers the next day and the meat seems to have gotten more moist after microwaving it interestingly. The gyro meat seems to be made more kabob style so the pieces are more like strips vs thin shavings like how it would be when cooked on a vertical spit/rotisserie. There is still some good crust/color on the pieces. Gyro -- 4.5/5 * Great gyro wrap. No complaints other than the meat being a little dry like mentioned above. Gyro plate -- 4/5 * Great plate overall. Same comment for the meat as the wrap, as I picked the same beef and lamb protein. The rice was also a kind of plain, almost just like white rice. I was expecting a more seasoned rice pilaf. I liked the inclusion of chimmichurri sauce in addition to the tzatziki with this dish. It comes with a side salad too making it a great well-rounded meal. Loaded fries (no protein added) -- 3/5 * Fries itself were fresh, hot, and crisp. Overall dish had good flavor (very zingy), but was very wet. There's two different types of sauce drizzled all over the fries in addition to a scoop of chimmichurri sauce in the middle. There's also tomato, cucumber, onion, and feta cheese. The sauce is quite liquidy, and there was a lot of it. This might have been better if the sauce was a little thicker, just less sauce in general, or more fries. The fries did stay quite crisp for a while but eating it was just very messy and a little off with how much dripping cold sauce was on top. I thought I ordered a falafel wrap not the appetizer. I didn't even see an appetizer on the menu. Probably miscommunication, but for $8.99, not worth it. The bread was warm and soft. Falafel was dry. I had to chase it down with water. Doesn't it normally come with hummus or sauce? Amazing food !!!! It's a cute little restaurant and staff were so warm and friendly. I got chicken gyro roll with za'atar (Mediterranean seasoning) fries. It was hot & fresh, the chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The naan was very soft, fries were good and the za'atar seasoning was more like dried dill & thyme seasoning. Got a combo meal. And the second dish was chicken kabob with pita,rice & a side salad. Again the chicken was very juicy & tender, rice was so flavourful. It took a while for the order but in the meantime we had the salad. I loved it and would definitely go back. Everything was so delicious. Not too spicy or too bland. Right amount of flavour. Far better than other Mediterranean restaurants I've tried. Prices were good too for a combo meal ! Clean, fresh, super flavorful and authentic Mediterranean food with incredible service! Tony was there at the time and he went above and beyond in friendliness. This amazing restaurant serves a lot of dietary needs including vegetarian and vegan. It also has indoor/outdoor seating and a really awesome ambiance. Also, I had never tasted Baba Ghanoush so smoky, creamy and savory in my life. In fact, all of the food is so fresh, delicious, authentic and you can tell it's made with love and pride. On top of it all, the restaurant is sparkling clean. You can tell the owner and its workers take a lot of pride in this restaurant. My husband and I love Mediterranean food. We didn't love our experience here. We have our favorites in town, but we're always open to trying new places. That said, we ordered the chicken plate, lamb plate, and beef plate. First thing we noticed was that it was only 1 skewer each. Most places we go to have 2 for just a smaller price more or same price. You can get two skewers here but you have to pay much more. And after trying the skewers I wouldn't want more anyway. The beef was overcooked and dry. The chicken was not flavorful. I didn't try the lamb. Nothing exciting about the sides. Service was okay. All in all, we will stick to our favorites in town for Mediterranean. read more

Now you won't forget where they are located. This cute little diner/restaurant is nestled back behind a tea shop and sits in the corner of a complex. Even though we live close, we rarely think of this area. I am assuming they got a new sign when they changed up some things because that is what caught my attention. I YELPED it to see what others were saying and marked it on my list to give a try. It's not a large area for dine in but it is very clean and I like the Mediterranean decor. The outside seating is clean and they made it more private and inviting. As the weather cools we will definitely be back to enjoy our meal outside. We were greeted as we entered. We came around 5pm on a Friday evening & the place wasn't busy yet. The owner told us the plates were probably the best deal if we were looking for a variety. So my son and I both ordered the Classic Gyro plate. As our to go orders were being cooked, the owner offered my son a taste of the gyro. He explained that they don't cook their gyro on a spit. He told us about how his grandmother butterflied the meat and kept it a thicker cut and juicer. He was a very nice and super personable gentleman. He obviously took pride and joy in what he was doing. We love to support local businesses like this. The food was delicious. The salad was so fresh and the lettuce crisp. We got everything on our salads. The house made vinaigrette was great. Our salad came in it's own side container. It wasn't just some small side to fill a cup in a container. This salad could have been a meal. I was super impressed and pleased with the salad. A lot of places treat a salad as a garnish that no one really cares about. This salad was so good! The beef/lamb gyro meat was heated and cooked and then sliced. They were almost like little gyro fries. I found myself eating them with my hands rather than a fork. They were moist and a tad crisp on parts from the griddle. I've had gyros that are dry and leftover and they try to save them with oil. Luckily Taste's gyros are fresh and not greasy or oily. The pita bread was soft and fresh as well. My only small complaints would be here as I prefer my pita whole so I can make gyro taco complete with tzatziki sauce & sometimes some salad. It was fine though. The tzatziki wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad. The green chutney left me puzzled. I couldn't figure out what all was in it but it was refreshing & tasty. I love how small everything was diced. The meal was topped with feta cheese as well. The saffron basmati rice was good. It was buttered and there was a bit something extra. I am a long time fan of Mediterranean cooking and dare I say I could taste a hint of rose water. I could be totally off but the rice was perfectly cooked, soft, and very aromatic. Of course saffron is liquid gold to most Mediterranean dishes and this was no different. The price is just right. It's affordable and you get a good amount of food. With a charismatic owner and food that tasted more like home cooking, we will be back. I need to try the baba ganoush and falafel. Just a tip: everything is made to order here and it's not a huge place. Be patient when you order and if you know you will be in a rush, call your order in early. read more

I was greeted by the host (owner) and we talked about him taking over the ownership and changing the place around. The menu had a good selection of dishes, but I decided to order the platter of kabob and kofta kabob. The food smelled amazing! The platter came with chicken kabob, beef and chicken kofta kabob (he made an exception for me to try both skewers), House made hummus, Baba ghanoush and pita bread with a side salad. All of the food tasted amazing with aromatic spices. My favourite was the kofta kabob (ground meat skewers), it was tender and juicy! I also really liked the pita bread with hummus. The taste of the meat and the creamy tsaziki makes a gyro for me. Surprised the sauce seemed to be pure sour cream yogurt. No dill, cucumber, feta or garlic. Most gyros I can't finish it all, but this one I had no problem. Light, singular and simple. Soft pita bread. Second visit here as new residents, and it wasn't a fluke the first time...this place has the BEST Mediterranean food we've ever had. All the food is fresh, so the salads are crisp and delicious. Sometimes gyro meat can be greasy, but not here. Seriously head and shoulders over any other place just for the gyro meat. Juicy, flavorful, fresh and a wonderful crunch to the outside. Never had anything else even close. The tzatziki is lovely, as is the accompanying jalapeño sauce. The pita is soft and tasty. The rice has great texture and its own subtle seasonings. The two gentlemen working were welcoming and friendly, and are wonderful representatives of this nice casual eatery. We spoke for a few minutes to one, Tony, about our enjoying and appreciating our meal. He spoke with great pride about choosing the right ingredients, and the manner in which it is prepared. Opted for the Beef Kabobs, Chicken Kabobs, Chicken Tenders, Fries, Baklava, Chicken Gyros, and of course that Turkish Tea. The place setting for the tea was very authentic for what I remember growing up before prayers. Everything was very well plated and seasoned perfectly. However my highlight was the Baklava and that Tea setting. Interior has several table and chairs, while the outdoor seating is quite large. It is turning into great weather finally here. So it was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and staff were very hospitable. Music was playing in the background. I ordered a Chicken Kebab which tasted like it was half cooked and then heated back up in boiled water as the color was dull, taste was bland, but it was moist!
