First visit & got charged for someone else's order. When I went back to return the drink & get a refund, they said I drove off before they could show that the refund had already been issued. Yeah??? It's a drive-thru??? I left the drink there. Embarrassing that y'all took my name for the order and read it back to me twice including the total and still messed up. Apparently I'll see the refund in 3-5 days. OH they refunded the extra charge for items that were not mine but still charged me for my drink that I returned to the store without drinking. read more

Out of the boba places in Torrance, Tastea gives the least amount of Boba. I usually run out of boba by the fourth sip. Get the large and it's out of boba even faster. Is Bob's expensive or something. Share Tea down the street is much more generous, even Ding Tea can muster up more boba compared to Tastea. Get it together Tastea. I want to pick you for your drive thru alone, but you guys are falling short. read more

I online ordered 3 drinks at 8:07 for an 8:30 pick up. It's 8:51 right now and we're still waiting... I don't know, I don't think it's takes almost an hour to make 3 drinks? We got a Thai milk tea, milk tea and peach me sweet tea with no toppings or anything. Really disappointed because I never had this issue at any other Tastea's except here. There's people that were waiting inside before we got here that still look like they haven't gotten their drinks. Are the drive thru getting priority first? WHATS THE POINT OF ORDERING AHEAD WHEN OTHER PEOPLE GET PRIORITY??! This is my second time here too. The first time I was here was on New Years and I did get my order a lot faster, but I was waiting outside the pick up window for a few minutes before anyone even came by to help... It may be best to order on the app and wait outside. The drive through lines are long, so I decided to go in to order. Well I had a hard time with the kiosk. Every worker's attention was on the drive thru so even though I called for someone, no one heard me. I HAD TO CALL THE PLACE FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME! Seriously, no joke! I waved down a worker and he said "i have to answer the phone." I had to tell him that I WAS CALLING! Anyways- despite the service, the drinks were very good. I would return, but not use the kiosk. I'm so happy this Tastea is finally open! And bonus points for it being a drive thru. I have been waiting for a drive thru boba spot to open and it's finally here. I will admit they still have some kinks to work out since it is still in the soft opening phase but please be patient as their staff is super friendly and trying their best! My gfs go to drink is the Bootea Shaker which has mango, peach, pineapple tea with black jelly. I still have yet to settle on a favorite as I lam torn between the Peach Me Sweetea and Lychee Peachee. Give me some time and I'll def get back to you on my all time favorite. For something yummy to snack on they have Buttload'a Fries and Karate Chicken (fried popcorn chicken) both of which you can customize the spice level 1-5. Both taste great but I will say the fries aren't just as good here as the other locations. This has been my go to boba spot since they opened! This review is for the Torrance location only. I have been to many Tastea places and this location has the worst customer service and they can't not fulfill your order right. MUST CHECK YOUR DRINKS before leaving!! I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they just opened and we need a good boba location in Torrance, however having 3 horrible experiences with them is quite enough. 1st experience was a drive thru and I ordered the hot Tiger Milk Tea which comes with the crème brûlée. The worker on the intercom asked if I wanted extra add-ons and I said no. Well, needless to say, my drink also did not have the crème brûlée it's suppose to come with. There was another time where I purchased an add-on and they did not add it. Luckily, I caught that one! Can't miss the non-existing green boba at the bottom of the drink. 2nd experience was also a drive thru, I wanted to redeem my $2.50 off instead of the free tiny sample of the Thai milk tea, but the worker made a mistake and couldn't take it off without a manager approval. The guy in the blue shirt came (manager?) and said the free drink is worth $3.75, so it's a better value and I should get the free sample instead. How is a FREE sample worth $3.75? It literally says "No cash value" at the bottom of the voucher. He was not nice about having to redo whatever it was on the computer and just walked away. 3rd experience, I decided no more drive thru and order online then pickup instead for better accuracy. My husband picked up the drinks, came home, and said his drink is only half full. He did not drink anything. He wasn't sure if they had given him a large cup and just filled it accordingly. Well, we decided to measure the content, because I had ordered a 16oz and the whole drink was only 9oz. Where is the rest? What an odd issue... Very disappointed with this location. read more

Our family loves the Strawberry Sensation with Rainbow Jelly and whipped cream, the Honeydew Milk Tea, the Matcha Milk Tea and the Taro Milk Tea. For the longest time, I would drive all the way to Long Beach just for Tastea. I was counting down the days until they opened the Torrance location. I've visited this location several times and each visit has been hit or miss. Sometimes they get my order right and sometimes they don't. I'm not going to be picky since I love Tastea but if I ordered a 20 oz Thai matcha with no boba and get a 32 oz Thai tea with boba then something must be off. I understand the employees are still fairly new and need to be trained so I'm hoping after a few months, things will improve. read more

Don't use their mobile app to order! I should've listened to the reviews. Just wait in that line even if it's 10 mins or more lol. I wanted to save time by ordering online, but when I got there 14 mins later the guy said the food wasn't ready so I waited another 5 mins which I didn't mind. I got home like in 5 mins or less since I live a mile down the road. When I got home the smoothie or slush was liquid & the food wasn't hot at all! So many times I've ordered through drive through and the drinks and food were fine. And it's not even summer. Had driven by this place so often during construction, was glad it finally opened and decided to give it a try. Went in the drive through since the line didn't look long, but that was a mistake. With only 4 cars in front of me, it took over 30 mins to order/get our drinks. Super slow. Ordered the strawberry milk tea and the tiger milk tea with honey boba. 50% sugar, 50% ice. With the less ice, they asked us if we wanted to pay extra to top off the drink. I was surprised - no other boba place does this? Said no. Drinks came out about 1.5 inches unfilled. Even at 50% sugar, the drinks tasted super artificial and sweet. Won't be coming back - so many other good boba places in the South Bay. Don't even bother coming here anymore. Drive thru is ALWAYS closed, as early as 8:00pm on a weekday. They expect you to order inside their tiny office cubicle sized store which is usually crammed with people inside ordering or waiting for their orders. Oh, and to top it all off they do not accept cash although the drive thru does (if it's even open)... The amount of hula hoops this place makes you jump through is not worth it. read more

Drinks are ALWAYS a hit or miss.... Either super good or super watered down and the tea tastes nasty... Customer service is TERRIBLE. Some are soo rude and make me feel like I made the mistake when they get my order wrong. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt because of course, being in the service industry it's tough. But HOW do these people always have a rude tone, so constantly unfriendly, and give dirty looks when I politely ask for the drink to be remade. One time, my friends and I were waiting for our drinks for 30 minutes+ inside. We didn't say anything because we assumed they were busy, but the guy told us coldly that they were closing soon and asked us to leave. Our drinks came out 10 minutes later. Another time, I came to pick up my drinks at the pickup window, and they were soo rude to me even though it was past my pickup time! They literally pretended to ignore me! Turns out my drinks were in the fridge but they were too lazy to check. I literally work as a server and make drinks as well, even when I'm dealing with "difficult" customers, I never make it apparent that their requests are annoying. I've been to other locations and the workers are always so kind... I just don't understand why these people have no basic manners or etiquette. To the manager/owner: If you're going to reply to the reviews, you should seriously address this customer service issue to your team members because nothing has changed since you guys opened.. how is your customer service this bad.... read more

I ordered the Taro Milk tea with honey boba, 50% sweetness. I have to say this place knows how to prepare boba. The boba was chewy and just sweet enough that it didn't over power the drink itself. It also was soft enough but not to the point that it would be mushy. I also though they boba to drink ratio was pretty good. I still had boba when I was finished with the drink. We ordered inside, it was self-order and pick up outside. The staff pretty much prepares the orders and I'm sure the only other interaction with Guests is via the drive through. You could order by app/delivery app also. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes boba drinks. There's a variety to choose but I started off with the taro. I plan to go there more and try the rest of the menu. My cousin ordered the Horchata Milk tea and I think that will be my next venture since she was raving it about it so much. read more

I've been waiting forever for this location to open. Driving by everyday on my way to work and back to see if they had opened, and now they are! I've visited 5 times so far, 4 times in the drive thru and once in the store. The wait can be long no matter which mode you choose, but you can always tell by how many people and cars are waiting, but the wait is worth it! I've tried a different drink every visit and each time the drink has been fantastic. Every time i come here, there is always some kind of issue that upsets me and makes me think, never again, but yet, here i am, naive to think that they will have improved since it's been some time. Placed an online order via app, arrived to see a worker on the phone outside but rush in once she saw us. (There weren't any other customers.) we thought that our orders would be ready soon as she had hurriedly rushed in, but we waited another 15 minutes or so. After what seemed like an eternity, the staff opened the window and gave us and another party our drinks, but as i asked about my food items, she had abruptly shut the window. I did not want to be rude as they appeared to be busier, so i waited patiently. When i finally got the attention of the staff, she finally handed me my food, but had the audacity to say,"next time, ring the bell." The lack of attentiveness and courtesy was baffling. Customer service and professionalism could be better. I get it's a food restaurant but have some common sense. I am a 26 year old who is probably around the same age as these workers and i know how to act professionally when at work but also know when and where to joke while im at work. I was trying to ask a question about an item. Specifically chicken, i didn't know how to pronounce it. As i was trying to get my words out, the worker over the speaker said "you can just say chicken" a little too sarcastically and then i proceeded to hear the girls in the background laughing hysterically. Whether it was a coincidence or not the whole interaction was not pleasant. Pretty sure they were aware of my distaste for the whole interaction even while i was at the window picking up my order because i was silent and the rest of the interaction was not welcoming from the worker(s). The drinks are stellar but im mostly ecstatic over some decent POPCORN CHICKEN that tastes much closer than what you'd get in a Taiwanese night market than the other imposters around the area that make it ...dare I say it inauthentically white washed? Just like the other reviews below, my drinks were extremely sweet. I chose medium sweet and they were not drinkable. I asked the staff if they could water it down for me and they kindly remade my drink and told me "yes, our drinks are REALLY sweet!" Got the winter melon milk tea with coconut and honey boba. Honestly was very tasty after they modified the sweetness! Also got the jasmine tea with sea salt cream and they watered it down too much when they modified it so it was just alright. The popcorn chicken is SO GOOD! Seasoned well and crispy without being too too oily. Orders seemed to come out quite quickly too even though there were several people waiting. One thing I hope they work out is the logistics of the shop, which are kind of odd. You order from a kiosk inside, which is fine and growing more common now, but there are no staff inside to help you out if you have a question, so you have to exit and go around the corner to the outside window to receive any help. The inside is nice but you spend most of your time outside in front of the pickup window while waiting for your drink and that area could definitely be better designed for a nicer waiting experience. They should also put a trash can outside by the pickup window. Once you receive your drink, you have nowhere to throw away your straw wrapper except to round the corner and go back inside the store kiosk area to find a trash can. Minor inconvenience but just an odd layout! Everyone that works here seems very friendly and kind! Great customer service. Since they're brand new I hope they work out the kinks soon, but I'm already planning my return trip to try their fries and another drink, which I will order with the lowest sweetness level possible! :) read more

For fruit tea, I like the great white (peach white tea with light sweetness, light ice, boba, and top off) and for milk tea, I get the roasted oolong (light sweetness, boba, no top off, light ice). I tried Tastea for the first time today. I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee medium sweetness and the fries. The drink was delicious and perfect amount of sweet. The fries were yummy and very crispy (just like I like my fries done). I saw reviews about customer service issues and either they have new staff or someone had some "off" days because the young lady working the drive through was super nice. This is literally the worst tastea I've ever been to in my life, and that's saying a lot because I love all tastea equally. It took 21 mins to order and receive my order via drive thru. How do i know? Because i texted my friend when i got there and when i left. There was no car in front of me, and maybe about 2 couples inside. I was told to hold for about 7 mins before I could place my order, and i assumed shot staffed. NOPE. Placed order, pulled up to the window, to my surprise, at least 5 employees working in the front, who knows how many in the back. Out of the 5 employees, 1 was literally just standing at the cashier doing absolutely nothing but talking to her coworker who was also basically doing nothing but refilling the straws. By the time I got to the window, there was 1 car behind me, the whole 13 mins I was waiting for my drink and popcorn chicken. All employees are really just chitchatting among themselves, no acknowledgment of the customer nor checking on my order. The popcorn chicken was whatever. I asked for my drink to be half sweet, but I didn't get that either. Boba wasn't the best. Definitely regret spending my money here, and I will never come back. read more

Finally got to try Tastea. A boba drive thru i got the lychee peachee medium sweet which was perfect and also their fries which i should have gone a little hotter. Over great except the service. For being the first time service sucked due to lack of being friendly or just a human in general (no emotion).
