The last two times we placed a phone order for delivery and used the coupon for the free chow mein. The first time they charged us for one order of chow mein and gave us a free one in addition which is not what we asked for. The last time, they charged us for the "free" chow mein so the bill was $69 instead of the $59 I was quoted over the phone. The lady that takes the calls doesn't speak the best english so I felt it was pointless to even call to dispute the charge and have them correct it. They have an online ordering option which worked well (all orders were done correct). We didn't try to customize anything though. We ordered: Egg roll appetizers Eggplant with Garlic Sauce Cashew Chicken Mu-shu pork Mongolian Beef dry sauteed string bens honey walnut prawns Overall the food was tasty, but a bit on the heavy side. As another reviewer pointed out, they're into glazing everything, even the string beans came out glazed. Our favorites were the eggplant and mu-shu pork On the plus, the portions are very large (and include rice, albeit no option for brown rice). I also liked that they didn't use styrofoam for the takeout containers. All the containers can go into our recycling bin. This place is really good and I'm not really a chinese food fan! I play in a band that rehearses in the Fremont area and we were getting tired of the same old pizza and beer so we decided to try this place, mostly because they deliver. I ordered the Mongolian beef with was great! Flavorful and the portion was pretty filling as well. My buddy got shrimp fried rice which he said was great as well. I can't remember what the others got but we all got sweet and sour soup which was some of the best I've tasted. The one thing that stops me from giving 4 stars is the price. I have driven past this place couple of times but never really bothered to try this restaurant until yesterday...I was badly craving for a chinese food and was looking for a 'To Go' so that i can chill out and relax at home eating all chinese while watching one of my favorite movie.. so we went in to try this decently named 'Tasty Restaurant' and brought our orders of 2 main courses Mongolian Chicken and Hunan Chicken with white rice. the food was so true to its name...it was really fresh, delicious and ignited my taste buds and need not talk about the reasonable price and the portions were just so enough for one person. After our favorite Chinese restaurant closed it was time to find another family favorite. We came across this while visiting the neighboring store. Let me tell you the food is as tasty as it can get. We love all their dishes. Even my little one devours their food. Most places won't have paper plates and plastic forks for kids but this place surprised me with my toddler's place setting. I'm used to panfried noodles being prepared with thin egg noodles. The flavor made up for the fact that it wasn't crispy. I can't get over the walnut shrimp though. They are like my go to Chinese takeout dish and this place batters them so thick it's gross. They're like mini shrimp corn dogs, so much batter so much bread! Negative stars for the shrimp. I haven't eaten in the restaurant but order delivery all the time. The food is a pretty darn good. It's a solid good eats for Chinese American food. They have a large selection of items. I'm a big fan of the General Tso's Chicken and Singapore noodles. There is NO mystery meat here. It is nice white chicken meat and tender beef. The vegetables are cooked perfectly- bright colors; not overcooked & limp. The portions are very generous. And not to sound like a tree hugging hippie, but I love that they do not use Styrofoam. Their delivery boxes are biodegradable corn so they can be thrown in the green recycle bin. Good food, big portions, and environmentally conscience--- can't get better than that.
