Wishing the volume of the Duck was bigger, darker color, but the rest went well. Ambiance and service are good.

Must order - signature Miao's sour soup, Golden braised lamb, Fried tofu balls, Mushroom dry pot, & House fried rice. I also prefer to customize the menu with the owner/chefs. The private room provides great service, exceptional dining experience, and special orders of delicious food such as King Crabs or Lobsters in Miao's sour soup & the spot prawns etc. Recently they curated a few new items on the menu. I will definitely go back soon to taste their always-satisfying Guizhou food!

Like holy smokes, are the chefs on steroids back there? A salute to their efficiency and time management. Family ordered the Thai fried rice, house special fish fillet, pork chop with Peking sauce, and a tofu dish I do not know the name of. The fish fillet was most definitely running the show here. It was heavenly with every bite. My brother and I had to practically restrain ourselves from demolishing the entire plate. Another deep nod to the chef's magnificent craftsmanship. Order this for a taste of no regrets. The servers were absolutely amazing. For a typical Chinese restaurant, it is pretty standard to be served and for the most part ignored unless you needed something specific. However, the servers here were right in the middle of the horrendous lunch rush, and yet they still managed to carry out gestures that genuinely touched me- one of the waitresses waited at the door and held it open for us when my mom returned from the restroom because they could see that my mom had limited mobility. The guy serving us also made sure he was always giving her ample room to move around amidst all the chaos and commotion of the restaurant. Considering the tables and chairs are inches apart from each other too, we were pretty cramped. I asked another worker for utensils later on, and he was genuinely so sweet going about it, patient and smiling. Service here really warmed my heart, which was such a bonus. The setting was probably the most intriguing part. I am not familiar about the history of this particular location, but considering the walls in the hallway had old newspaper articles and images of the establishment from who knows how many decades ago, I would say it's teetering on the edge of being a museum in itself. Makes for a cool peek into history, but the run down building and yellowing, stained walls in the hallway might throw some people off who are looking to dine somewhere that has kept more in stride with modern times. This visit was fantastic from beginning to end, and all the small details really made everything come together into a wonderful synopsis of food, family, and a little extra kindness.

We ordered our usual items: Beef Chow Fun, Fish Fillet with Tender Green, and French Style Beef Tenderloin. Portions were still big and of good value. Prices went up about a dollar per plate as compared to last year, roughly about 6-7% which was reasonable because ingredients are costing more these days. They do charge 2% for credit card USA. If you're looking for a casual place to eat reasonably good and reasonably priced Chinese food, this is a solid option.

We met family and friends while they already were in the middle of dinner and we came pretty late. Mama Lu's is known for their dumplings but they also serve Chinese dishes such as beef chow fun, roasted duck, fried fish fillet, and more. Staff were friendly, they were helpful and a wasn't hard to flag them down if we needed something. Overall, good place, would come again to try dumplings.

Came here one late evening for a super late dinner after 9pm and every where else was closed or closing soon. Thought no one ate this late. Wrong it was at least a 30 minute wait for a table. It was popular with a long wait list and crowds out in front. Once seated I was so hungry to eat just anything. Ordered some good ol' beef chow fun, filet mignon beef, fried pork chops, and a traditional canto style braised goat meat with bean curd skin. Mind you each entree came with rice, so don't order more white rice unless that's what you intend. Everything tasted amazing and similar to other Chinese restaurants. Pretty large and decent portions. Enough to pack togo boxes even after eating so much. The downside is the long wait and the extend wait even after we got a text that our table was ready. Overall a solid good canto food spot for good late night eats.
