Came here for lunch on Saturday and it was pretty packed. I got the beef hotpot with Thai flavor- medium. I would frequently go to this location vs Berkeley because I thought their hotpot tasted better with better seating, but lately their pots have changed. There was only a few slices of beef and the whole pot was Napa cabbage. My pot also wasn't very hot when I got mine and had to wait a few minutes for it to bowl. Service is quick. We got our bowls within 10 mins of ordering. My only gripe is they didn't come to ask us if we needed anything else after the pot was delivered. During lunch they give out green or black tea sweetened as a set. The green tea is my favorite and my husband likes the black. Ambiance is pretty dim. The tables are seats are comfortably spaced out so you don't feel cramped. read more

This bowl comes with Napa cabbage, sliced pork, vermicelli, tomato, corn, egg, enoki mushroom, imitation crab meat, kamaboko, fish ball, fried tofu skin, tempura, Chinese string bean, golden fish ball, king oyster mushroom, eggie fish ball, lobster ball, scallion, and pork bone soup. This bowl is seriously loaded. It comes out to you on top of its own burner (egg is raw so make sure to scoop broth over it to cook it) and includes a side of rice or vermicelli noodles as well as a chili sauce with soy sauce you can add in for dipping. The experience with this flavor is very aromatic and has a savory, lightly sweet flavor. I like the let all the ingredients sit in the broth for a while to soak of the overall flavor before scooping them into my rice bowl and using the dipping sauce. The service was very good. Our waitress very regularly stopped by to make sure our waters never went empty as well as to ensure our broth was always replenished and dipping sauce full. She was attentive yet non disruptive. I usually get the beef hot pot but I was feeling adventurous and ordered the Sichuan Hot Pot. Hot holy damn that hot pot is ENDLESS!! Only order that if you are super hungry...I didn't realize how big my pot was in comparison to my bf's lol. I thought I was a fan of spice but the Sichuan peppers fought and won. Still a good hot pot don't get me wrong but the medium spice level definitely has some kick! Only qualm is the udon serving for $2.50. Bf was disappointed by how little udon they give you and said he should've ordered the instant noodle instead. We ordered by scanning the barcode but if requested you can ask if the waiter can just take your order which is nice because I know people like my parents who don't like using their phone to order. Our food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the beef hot pot and curry pot with a side of udon and quail eggs. It comes with a side of rice or vermicelli. FYI there is usually already vermicelli in the bottom of the soup. Unfortunately they tan o ur of the black fungus mushrooms but the soup was still good! The customer service is immaculate - John and his team are genuinely nice and always makes en effort to strike up conversation. The restaurant is very clean with interesting music - Very clean with the amount of traffic this establishment sees. The music is usually covers by up and coming artists or just a Rihanna station, etc. The food (broth) has the most flavor - The pre-made #9 Taiwanese with Thai Broth... anything with Thai Broth is *chef's kiss*. Both ok and not that flavorful at all. No directions really on how to and what to order. They sit you down and you scan the menu. No initial interaction whether or not we've been there before or suggestions on what the popular soup pots were. Most definitely left me craving for hot pot again since this experience was meh. Refills on soup and water were really good though. Make sure when visiting the place to ask about the popular soup pots. One of the hot pot places that my family and I frequent! I usually get the lamb, but I wanted to try the kimchi dumpling this time. I liked how many things they put into this pot - with the dumplings I was pretty stuffed at the end. However, I don't know if I liked the flavor of the broth as much, it seemed a little light and not super flavorful. Because it was a Taiwanese take on a kimchi hot pot, the kimchi they use isn't the Korean kind i prefer. Think I'd stick with my usual lamb next time! Yummy! Tasty Pot is one of my ultimate cravings. Their individual hot pots are perfect for the fall weather. Orders are customizable to an extent; you can choose your spice level and what side u want (rice or vermicelli). They used to have a mini self-serve sauce area at the table but it's now gone due to covid. Nonetheless, they still give u hot sauce and an option of garlic soy at the table. Food here is definitely expensive compared to the amount of food you get. Even though the food proportions are not that big, it is still delicious and finds a way to fill you up. I always have trouble trying to finish the larger pots. I would give this place 5 stars if wasn't for the unreasonable prices. They make it the right way every day. The ordering is very easy. You just order by scanning the QR code at the table and placing the order via your phone. However, some customization is limited like you cannot get rare beef slice on the side or remove cabbage to be put on the side. Overall, great location that is run very efficiently. As this place can get quite crowded during the evening, my friend and I arrived just after they opened at 5pm. Upon being seated, we were able to look through their menu and place our order online with our phones. My friend and I both ordered the beef hot pot in varying spice levels with sides of rice and vermicelli. After submitting our order, our food came out within 5-10 minutes. Because each individual hotpot comes with a little burner underneath, there is no worry that your soup will get cold. There are also condiment containers on the table with sauces/spice to dip your meats/veggies into. The beef hotpot was the perfect portion size imo! It came with plenty of beef as well as mushrooms, tofu, cabbage, tempura, beef/fish balls, clams, squid, taro, corn, and vermicelli. It felt never ending! In addition, the workers walk around, making sure to top your pot off if you are running low on soup. My friend and I left stuffed! Although a filling meal, I did dock one star as the soup base felt quite grainy to me. Kinda like when you make instant noodles and don't dissolve the flavor packet thoroughly in the water. The broth is going toward salty side, but with rice it made it balance out. The waitlist kiosk is broken and replaced with paper instead. No menu. U can scan QR code and ordered from phone. My husband was looking for his catfish soup but could not find it and we thought did we make a mistake on the menu, but actually management said that was replace with other dishes. Tbh it's plenty enough. I usually get the taiwanese, beef, or the curry. I've tried the cheesy milk, stinky tofu, veggie, and japanese miso. It all depends what your preferences are. If you get cheesy milk, ask for extra cheese on the side. It's the best for dressing your meat slices with melty cheeese. You can also replace the broth of any soup! Be sure to add your phone number on the receipt for points. If you can't handle spicy, get some milk tea to calm your tongue. Haha :) Also be sure to use the sauce they offer, they have four kinds. The manager said it was from the instant noodle packet but oh well I guess you now know the noodles are from there.
