Everything ordered here was delicious. Definitely order a soup with your meal. I bring a six-pack of tsing tao with me when I eat here and it isn't an issue. I also order the 50 frozen pot stickers to go so that I can reheat my left overs and refresh my plate. Everything is so good that the language barrier isn't that big of a deal. The servers aren't being rude they just aren't as used to people not speaking to them in their own language but they do their best to get you what you need. Love this place, always my go to for bringing family and friends too whenever they're in the area. Family from the Philippines really like this place. Tasty Xi'an has a large menu but everything is cooked well and tastes great. Portions are also quite large, I always leave with leftovers which is a good thing :) makes a good meal for the next day. Tasty Xian is relatively new and I have only tried the Liang Pi but from that one dish alone, I know that their other dishes must be authentic as well. The portions were absolutely massive - easily shared between two people, and the texture of the wheat noodles were spot on. It was my first time here. The braised beef noodle soup is delicious! Broth is clean and full of flavor, and the noodles taste homemade. The chicken fried rice was also delightful. I'm very picky when it comes to rice, so I was happy that the rice tasted fresh. The portion is also great for its price especially in this economy (i think it was $9). Also, this place feels like a mom&pop restaurant. The service isn't overbearing like most places these days, but they are still prompt. I came here with my friend, and we were amazed. To my impression, lots of Chinese dishes are spicy, red, and oily, but this restaurant is not. The food here tastes great. The price is really good for the portion. We ordered the Sauerkraut and Pork Casserole. We thought the portion is good for two persons, but when it came, it was big enough for 8+. It's really good for someone who likes sauerkraut's sourness. After eating some meat, having sauerkraut soup refreshes the taste. We also ordered the beef fried noodle. It has the chewy tasty. It goes really well with the thick sauce. The only thing is because the noodle is fried, it's a little oily. The hamburger-like meat bun is also good. The bun has the aroma of the flour. It's not dry when eating with the juicy shredded pork inside. The dry pot intestines are just perfect. Usually, the intestine has this oily taste. But they fried the intestines well enough to get rid of the fat. Instead of a soft texture, it is chewy. The sauce is pretty much soaked in the intestines. Even though it was spicy, we were able to taste the food. Menu selection: They offer a wide range of dishes--dry pot, noodles, dumplings, sizzling plate and much more. Location/parking: The restaurant is located inside the Jack in the Box plaza and parking is easy to find--came around lunch time and there were many spaces available. Taste: Ordered (#7) Stir-fried Lamb and Cumin burger, (#15) Pork, Shrimp, and leek dumpling, (#20) Special Hot Oil Noodle with vegetable and pork, and (#21) Cold Noodle with Sesame. Burger was a good serving size but definitely an appetizer kind of thing. Very flavorful & meat was nice and soft. Dumplings were as expected--meat was juicy and dumpling skins were great. The dish I was kind of disappointed in was the cold noodles with sesame. Maybe I'm just not a fan of cold noodles. Favorite dish was the special hot oil noodle. The noodles had a good chewiness and a good width. It must have been cooked on a wok with good heat since you could taste the pan-fried essence in the noodles. In my opinion the meat in the burger and noodles were a bit on the salty side but overall flavor was good with their respective pairings within the bun and in the noodles. HEADS UP: this place SPECIALIZES In Xi'an dishes so don't makes the mistakes I did by ordering Szechuan dishes here the first time, go straight to the first & second pages where noodles and Xi'an dishes are at! The noodles are like Biang Biang noodles (or belt noodles, handle pulled to order) and we absolutely love them! Great textures and the noodle soaks up all the flavors of the sauce or broth it's just so freaking good. Our current favorites are braised lamb bone noodle soup & #23 tomato & egg bell shaped noodle soup. The veggies stir fry here are on point delicious too. I ordered the pork rouburge and the chicken string bean entree. The pork rouburge was a little too fatty for me and the chicken string bean entree was VERY flavorful which passed the line and became way too salty. My stomach was immediately upset, even while still finishing my meal. Half an hour after finishing my meal, my stomach continue to be upset and went right through me. (Sorry for the tmi). I mention this because if you're not used to salty food and meat with skin which make meals much higher in fat content, you might want to rethink this place. I also noticed my pork rouburge sitting on a puddle of pork fat. Again, not bad in food quality if this is something you're used to, but for me it was too fatty and not lean enough. To preface, I've never had Xi'an Cuisine before but I am sold! My wife and I decided to try this place out and it did not disappoint. It's different from the popular Cantonese and Taiwanese style of Chinese food. From my understanding, there is a big Muslim presence in the Xi'an province so that explains the lamb/vegetarian dishes. There wasn't a dish we didn't like from them. Their lamb pita bread soup was delicious with the pickled garlic and spicy sauce. My wife enjoys their shanghai wonton soup because the wonton broth was unique as it had seaweed in it. The mutton bread sandwich was fatty and tasty while the bread wasn't soggy at all. Their spicy braised beef stew had a slight mala and their spice had good flavor to it. All the noodle dishes they have are great. The noodles taste homemade and have great texture to it. Tasty Xi'an will be a favorite for now and I hope it is here to stay. read more

Hot and Sour Soup is pretty flavorful. Roujiamo is ok. A bit greasy (most Xi'an food is that way), and meat filling is not a lot but ok. Oil Splash noodles are very oily. You will get full with one order. May not even finish it because of that oil and spices. Liang Pi is actually not bad. You just have to try it to know what I'm talking about. It was my first time ordering from here and I had a great experience. We ordered the Spicy Fish (Boiled Section) and the Braised Eggplant and Green Beans (Dry Pot Section). I am not Chinese so when I called in, there was definitely a bit of a language barrier. I was able to get past it by giving them the numbers of the items on the menu which worked cause everything was correct when I came to pick it up. I cannot believe the portion sizes. The Spicy Fish came in a huge takeout bowl and for $16.99, I can make multiple meals out of this one dish. Another thing I liked was that the bowl itself is a much better vessel than the metal trays that I usually get when ordering this dish. The oil does not get everywhere this way. The fish portions are huge and it comes with Napa Cabbage so there are some textural differences in the dish. The sauce is not that spicy or oily and does not have peppercorn which I was hoping for, but it was still delicious. I ordered the Braised Eggplant and Green Beans ($11.99) even though I usually don't like to order vegetables and just make it at home, but I saw a couple of reviews mentioning that it was the highlight of their meal and I gave it a shot. I am so glad that I did because that was actually the best part for us too. The eggplant was mushy (it's braised, duh haha) but the green beans stayed snappy and on top of rice it was divine. To note, they do not give you rice but I always have rice ready to go in my fridge so it was not a problem. They have a HUGE menu and there were other dishes that I wanted to give a try so I'll be back. read more

Glad this place opened near me in the Jack in Crack & Royal Business Bank plaza! Delicious Xi'an style food you won't regret trying! I highly recommend their spicy and non-spicy braised beef noodle soup with hand pulled noodles. I can't really handle spicy food, but my kids can! I also like the chicken and broccoli dish, pork and celery boiled dumplings, Mapo tofu, sautéed cabbage, the cold Liang-Pi noodle dish, and the eggplant and string bean dish. There are so many great dishes to choose from. Clean place, prices are OK, and they offer good portion sizes. I love the flavor and quality of their food. I hope they stick around in DB for a long long time! I've tried the buns with meat inside, thick noodles with hot oil, also the thick noodles with hot oil and with toppings, regular egg fried noodles which is like chow mein, the beef noodle soup, beef and broccoli, yang chow fried rice, and steamed dumplings- ALL DELICIOUS. The food is also priced well and they deliver it fast and don't charge insane delivery fees or charges. This is by far one of the best Chinese restaurant in DB. read more

This spot is my new go-to for bold Xi'an flavors! I love that it's just a few minutes' drive away. The liang pi is pretty close to perfect with delicate, slippery, noodles, a smattering of fresh julienned cucumber, and a slightly tangy vinegar and chili oil dressing. We loved their braised noodle with tomato & egg and their stir-fried noodles too. The dish names might be slightly off because I've since lost my receipt and can't quite remember which ones I chose, but you probably can't go wrong with any of their noodle dishes! The noodles in both were perfectly al dente. If I had to pick a favorite between the 2, I would say the braised noodle edged out the stir-fried one just a bit, but only because of that velvety tomato & egg sauce. We washed down all our noodles with an order of dumplings. These dumplings were uber juicy and plump and packed with chive and shrimp. Chicken is more than the noodle, I took the leftover home and added more noodle to make a second meal. Enough for 5-6people.
