I've been here twice now, the first experience was incredibly good so it fostered another visit. Overall, the food is amazing. I love brunch food and this spot has incredibly great food. I've had the loaded tater tots with hot link as the meat and wow-- amazing. Reminds me of the pan's loaded hashbrowns. Just tater tots instead. It's a healthy portion, def can be split with another person. I like the twist on it being tots as I love tater tots so this is something I would absolutely get again! I wish the sausage was incorporated in the tots rather than on the side I had to chop it up myself. The pancake flight? 10/10 hit. My big back loves to try different things but I can't eat 4 full different stacks of pancakes. So this mini pancake flight is the perfect thing to try different flavors and share with someone too! Their affogato, also very very amazing. Everything is such a hit. The only food I wasn't the biggest fan of was the chicken and waffles. The waffle batter was very crumbly and I did not like the texture when eating it. It just crumbles in your mouth like a dry biscuit. Very different from the pancake batter. The chicken was dry half way through, but did have a crispy skin to it. It was a VERY large piece of chicken too, def getting ur protein in!! The presentation of food is beautiful. I love it. The service omg. THEY LAG!!!!! I swear your brunch visit is going to be 2 hours there. Food takes around 45 minutes to come out and that's for a party of 2! That's the only thing I hate, is that it takes absolutely forever to see a waitress again. They keep waters filled but I believe they need more staff. They have parking in the back and side. The entrance is on the backside which tripped me out when walking on Hawthorne, I had to walk to the backside. I love the way this place is decorated, it's very comforting yet modern at the same time it's a perfect twist. I love the food but their service is really slow, even talking the entire time you still feel the "damn how long has it been?"

We've been before. Not sure what is happening with the service, but we just walked out after 15 minutes of waiting just for a menu. We were finally acknowledged and brought a QR code menu then ignored once again. If you want to bring in the people, serve good food. If want to KEEP those people......have great service. Tata's is very much lacking in service. We will not be coming back here. There are entirely too many choices out there.

I came to Tata's the first time during a Yelp elite event years. It WAS really great THEN The service WAS fast. This is about maybe our third time coming post-Yelp event. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to downgrade their rating from last time. Some of the staff appears to not want to be there. It is being downgraded because the service is slow. There's a long wait. The food is good, but it's not worth my time to wait this long. The pork chop is not as good as I remembered it to be, it is not as juicy . You can't go through the front door if you're handicapped because it's locked. The only entrance is through the back. There are no accessible areas where a handicap person in wheelchair or walker can access the inside of this restaurant. There isn't enough parking too.

This place seems to always be jam packed! After having breakfast here, I can see why. The chilaquiles were absolutely delicious and a great portion size. The coffee (regular coffee) was strong and flavorful, with an almost smoked tinge to it. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic spot this is not it. Every table is full and for good reason. Looking forward to coming back here and trying some more of the menu. Be ready to wait a bit and don't expect the fastest service, but you can see that they're trying. Bravo.

Came here this morning after dropping family off at lax. The server was very nice and attentive. The food was made fresh and both the pancakes and chicken chilaquiles were really tasty. Not too saucy or sweet.

Met up with my siblings to have a catch-up breakfast here. My sister had seen this on social media and really wanted to try it out. Parking is very limited, but we did come during a holiday so we were able to park at the bank next-door. You walk in through the back, we did have to check in, but we didn't have to wait too long thankfully even though the place was pretty busy. We're seated on our waitress was very attentive very sweet. Asked us if we had any questions about the menu took and took our drink orders. We ordered a little bit of everything because we like to share. The food was amazing. One thing I will say was that pork chop was super juicy. Some places their pork chops can run dry, but this one was delicious and cooked perfectly. The Chilaquiles were amazing. The pancake flight was good. I'm not a big pancake person, but we all wanted to try the different flavors. My Biscoff cookie latte was perfect. All in all the food was amazing. Service was great. The place stayed pretty packed the whole time we were there but it's still small enough to where you can catch up with somebody and it not be too loud. Glad my sister found this place and that we got to try it.

Nice and cozy brunch spot with some nice Mexican options. Took my fiancee and her family here, and they seemed to enjoy it! The chilaquiles were good; I got the combo sauce with red and green. Invited to breakfast at Tata's Cafe. Who could say no? Enjoyed a great cup of coffee and the Loaded Tots. My friend had a Biscoff Latte and a Vegetarian Burrito. So much food!! BTW, the owner looks fabulous and we told him so. Soo very proud of his achievement. Keep up the good work. Ok, bye.

There's a low-key Michelin chef behind this cafe, y'all. My nursing friends invited me for breakfast after a long shift and, tbh, I thought it looked sketch from the outside. But, then again, some of the absolute best restaurants have always been holes in the wall. The interior of this place is cute though. Food? 5/5 unreservedly. American/Mexican with no dilution of either. Classic American breakfasts with uncompromising classic flavors. Mexican plates with authentic preparation. No joke no joke folks, this place is AMAZING for breakfast and brunch. And, good selection of coffee. The mimosas are yummy After coming to this place for the 3rd time, we found out that the owner is Culinary School trained. So, it all made sense. Pork chop and eggs or chilaquiles... Either way, amazing O of the taste buds. Come come try try!! +Digital Payments +Bathrooms +Parking is on the little lot or on the street. Be forewarned, it is initially tricky to find this place. It is next to the Marriott Courtyard but a brick wall separated their parking lots. If you get lost, just park somewhere on the street (mind the signs) and walk to the BACK entrance.

This breakfast place is my GO TO! Both the coffee and food is bomb. I recently tried this spot with my boyfriend and we loved it. We both agree that Tata's by far makes the best pancakes we have had. The cafe de olla latte is amazing! I order it every time I come. This place is a great option to order through Uber Eats too. If you come during game day at SOFI stadium, you will see a lot of guests wearing jerseys. There's a good amount of seating and the employees are kind. There's parking behind the restaurant and you enter through the backside. If you decide to try this spot, order the pancakes!

We got sat quickly, my seat was still dirty with crumbs, the menu was a QR code and food came out relatively fast. Food was pretty good no real complaints there. However I just left this establishment from my morning breakfast and got overcharged roughly $30 more for a two person meal!! Ruined my whole vibe. I had intentions of coming back before being overcharged for my meal. Chorizo burrito-$21, mimosa($10) x2- $20, overnight oats-$8, orange juice-$6.5 = $55.5 + tax should be roughly $60. I was charged $82 then with card added $10 tax and ended up paying $93 for a two person meal ....won't be returning. read more

Best food ever!!! You can tell that everything is prepared and cooked with love in their hearts. Their service is great as well. Very family-friendly staff. The entrance is in the back. A little small for a place with great food. Their Cafe de Hoya latte is so good that I almost chugged the whole thing real fast. Their food portion is big enough for you to walk out feeling super satisfied and happy. We ordered the steak frites, French toast, chicken and waffle, and meat lovers burrito. All are served with so much deliciousness and appreciation. Thank you very much for the great food and good customer service! We'll totally be back when we visit LA again. read more

Ok... the food takes a while to come out. But it's tasty! LARGE portions, but tasty. Definitely recommend splitting plates. Half green, half red chilequiles is the way to go! Lattes are also on point! Chorizo breakfast burrito was tasty and, yes, gigantic. Huevos rancheros- delicious from my brother's report (he didn't offer me a taste). And avocado toast had a full salad on top, but the greens and avocado looked high quality! read more

We learned it is a family owned restaurant and you can tell that every employee cares about you having a good experience. Tried Tata's Cafe for brunch for the first time, due to all the good reviews we saw on Yelp. Was not disappointed. Our server was Bridget and, not only was she friendly, she gave great recommendations as we were deliberating between a few options. Not only was our service good, but the food was outstanding. High quality ingredients, good customizability and personal touches, and great taste! You can feel the attention to details. For instance, my Monte Cristo was nice, crisp and airy, with the cheeses soft and hot and everything flavored nicely. The cool toasted-looking lemon slice in the water. My wife loved her huevos rancheros as well. I recommend giving it a shot. The whole time we were there, it hovered at 1-2 party wait, not bad for brunch on a Saturday with this quality. read more

The breakfast diner I have gone to before Tata's Cafe? Denny's, IHOP, McDonalds and Noah's Bagel. Spot the similarity: They are all chain restaurants. Tata's Cafe is my first ever non-chain breakfast place and boy did I enjoy it! This place is clean, bright, cozy and spacious. I feel welcome the moment I stepped inside. The waiters and waitresses here are amazing and friendly. I had so many questions to ask and the person who was serving me was really patient in answering them. Top notch customer service! Anyways, the food here were delicious and feel less oily than any of the restaurants I mentioned above with their breakfast selection. The dishes' portions were huge (I couldn't finish any of them, so brought the leftover home) which I appreciate a lot! The dishes: - Oatmeal: I love those berries! The oatmeal was very tasty and sweetness level was just right. - Omelette: Not too oily, the eggs were moist enough, portion is big enough for 3 people and the potatoes were yummy! - Meat Lovers Burrito: This was by far my favorite meal of the day! Crunchy outer layer tortilla was new to me, but this was the very reason why I would be coming back for more! Try it and you would understand what I mean. Overall, you just have to look at how high their ratings are, there is a reason for that! I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to dine in for satisfying breakfast and quality food to start your day! read more

My friend and I had quite a few hours to kill until our airbnb was available to check in so we decided to pick this place to bring our luggage and have brunch to relax while we kill time. Was able to enjoy a wonderful private dinner here recently. Came in a party of four made by rsvp ahead of time. It was definitely one of a kind For taste and experience I would give it a 10/10! Every plate was meticulously presented and delicious. Each dish had us curious of to what was this mysterious delicacy. Just to top off the ending of dinner We got served a wonderful dessert. I will never forget that taste in my mouth. Ahhhhh...I should've asked what it's called but I guess I will just have to come back and have it again. Also the owner was very kind and sweet. He let us keep a table decorative that I was admiring so much. Workers were very attentive. So we made to sure to tip them well. Walking into Tata's, it is nicely decorated and feels very clean. Our server was very kind which helped the experience even more. We ordered the Chorizo Breakfast and the Meat Lover burritos. We just left there after waiting for an hour. Everyone got seated before us even when they came after us. We weren't checked on or told that they would seat us as soon as possible. We left and there was no empathy on their part. The waitress just said goodbye not in a nice way. We were excited to try. But the service/treatment was horrible and degrading. read more

You can taste the quality. They do get busy and you may have to wait a bit for your food, but the staff are very friendly, the proportions are nice, and the depth of the flavor is very evident. 10/10 would recommend! My girlfriend took me here for my birthday as I have been dying to come here. Customer service was very good, communication was on point. We asked for stickers & were given several designs :) The presentation was also very comforting & welcoming. The wait was not long at all. & most importantly the food was delicious! I have come here 3 times. The first time was slow service but really great food. Second time was the best with the owner talking to us and understood I had a 3-year old and made him a small hot chocolate. The third time was amazing food but I didn't like that the waitress didn't understand what I was asking for about a small hot chocolate for my son. My mom explained in Spanish and then it was fine. I was frustrated because I purchased a full size for Chocolate and I ended up with a barely drunk hot chocolate from my son. They need a kid's drink price and size. The music was also too loud that everyone would speak too loud and it got loud. Go early and have a quieter breakfast. read more

The best meal I've had in recent memory! The whole team came together to make a memorable evening. The prix fixe menu started with a Caesar salad, and then a seafood tower which included Peruvian scallops, clams, and oysters (all on the half-shell) with a lot of jumbo cocktail shrimp. Then we had a flight of dry-aged beef including A-5 Wagyu, A-4 Wagyu, prime rib, and filet mignon (all dry-aged!!!)! And the sides were mouthwatering as well! We had black truffle mashed potatoes and Uni and crab macaroni and cheese. We finished it all off with a chocolate cake. All four of us ate until we were stuffed and there was still plenty to take home. We will definitely be back! read more

The food here is great so is the service.cafe is small or cozy so it's ok for ambiance.I am lactose intolerant so a lot of menu items had cheese and cannot be omitted except for the avocado toast which I had and it was good. In the entire time we were there, only once did someone come by and that was just to give us our drinks that we finished quickly. The staff just kept walking past without saying a word.
