    Beef Cheesesteak

This is genuinely one of the first times I ate a restaurant that had flavor in Seattle. I can truthfully say everything was seasoned beautifully, the meat was juicy, the cheese wiz had a great flavor and consistency of perfect gooey-ness, the fries had a crunchy outside and soft inside, and had a nice coating of old bay. Not to mention, the portions!! It was way bigger than I had anticipated, yet they don't sacrifice the quality for the quantity. Rosalyn was super helpful when it came to deciding what exactly to order and was very patient while I was being indecisive. It came out much quicker than I expected and I would recommend anyone to stop by during their strange business hours. I also enjoyed the rustic feel on the inside.

Food was quickly made! Not much of a wait. Nice place to stop in and have lunch downtown Seattle. Parking is hard so walk in. Food was HOT and cheese melted so good .

Solid choice for beef cheesesteaks. Delicious, generous portion and fast service. We ordered for take away.

Delicious Italian submarine sandwich. Filled with great deli meats and spicy sauce...the other key factor was a wonderful roll the sandwich was built on. Perfect location right by Pioneer Square and just a few blocks away from King Station... they also have an amazing menu with a few cold options and several hot sandwich options. For Seahawk or Mariners fans it is close to both stadiums...please visit them soon!!! TATSDELI.COM

The sandwiches here were so good! They are also huge. The service is fine and they're pretty speedy with getting orders together but sometimes it can be hard to hear your number since it's a little noisy. Would definitely go back for the eggplant parm again! They have 2 veggie sandwiches but no vegan items.

Tats makes you feel like you're right back in a sandwich joint in Philly. It's got a major east cost sandwich vibe, which is great. The workers are all very nice, but the Philly cheesesteak... man is it good... I love a good cheesesteak, and Tat's has very easily earned itself a spot on my Mount Rushmore of cheesesteaks. The steak is steak ribbons in stead of chopped I, which I much prefer. The bread holds its form, mostly, the wiz is nice and warm and they give you plenty of it. In a city where east coast style sandwich shops are harder to come by, tat's is the perfect spot for any hoagie, and chief among them, the Cheesesteak.

2.8/5 I haven't been in years so decided to pop in to see how things are. Ambiance - not much to say, typical sandwich shop. Bunch of seating. Service - service was top notch, the woman who took my order had a huge smile and helped make suggestions on what to try. Food - I tried the roast pork sandwich, with a side of old bay fries and a soda. Total came to $30, so it is a pricier lunch. I have to say after spending $30, I was a little let down. The fries were great, they held their crisp and had a ton of free sauces for dipping. The sandwich itself, although it was very hearty and LOOKED amazing, lacked flavor which was shocking to me. The meat didn't taste seasoned, but it was tender. Sauteed spinach wasn't giving off much flavor either. I thought my tastes were off but I gave a few bites to my fiance and she said the same thing. Would still like to try some of their other options, I would just pass on the roast pork.

Meeting up in downtown Seattle with friends traveling from Australia...and needed a place for lunch. Walked to Tat's as it's the only place I know in dt Seattle and little time to research other options. We ordered the traditional...Philly cheesesteak...beef, fried onions and whiz...yes cheese-whiz. Food came out pretty quick and happy that we were able to secure booth seating. The taste was great...but I did find it a wee bit salty. We all came away very full and satisfied. It was another positive Tat's experience.

Visiting in from out of town, I challenged my friend to take me to the best local sandwhich in Seattle. He did not choose wrong. The place is small with limited seating but it adds to the frenetic charm. It smells amazing inside, the sandwhiches are huge, and everyone eating just seemed to be in heaven. He grabbed the tatstrami and loved it. I went the Italian with extra pickles. The spicy peppers were amazing. My mouth was so happy. Def recommend adding some oil and vinegar but my God was this a bomb sub

I changed my mind. The food is very good. It seems to have improved in some way. I probably just dont like the chicken philly or the dry chicken deli sandwich. This was my fourth time visiting. The portion was huge. They pile it with meat. It was decently priced. I paid $22 after tax. For a small business, I thought it was reasonable for the size. The staff is very nice as well

Best beef philly cheesesteak I've ever had here in Seattle (I've never been to Philly so not sure how the OG tastes). Service is fast, they mean business so know what you want. Luckily, they have many signs to help you order your food. Everything was fresh and hot. The place was very busy which is a great indicator of a good place to eat. Plenty of seats for dine in or you can order online and take it to go. They also have tvs to watch sports (they are Philadelphia establishment). I really enjoyed my sandwich to which I added peppers, mushrooms and don't forget the cheez whiz! I hope to come by more often!

Ordered online with no problem, service was quick for pick up. Meat portions are generous, the bread is fresh and the subs were delicious. Got the Italian Roast Pork and Hot turkey sub.

This was not my first time here but my first time since the pandemic when you could pull up in the alley and they brought your order to your car. I ordered a lunch pick up on a Thursday for noon and prayed to find parking, which I did right around the corner. Whew they were busy as usual, packed with no seating and a line - lunch rush! Turkey tatstrami is my go to order, slaw is always a banger and they pack their subs with meat! It did not disappoint and my pictures don't do my sandwich justice but trust me, if you have a chance they are worth it!

Philly Beef Cheesesteak w/ pepper jack, Dr Browns zero & butterscotch tastykake! We got the old bay fries too and they were really good!

Ask the Community - Tat's Delicatessen

How much pastrami do they put on the tatstrami sandwich by weight?

    About 6oz on an 8”

Why do they stop delivery at 10am?

We offer free downtown delivery for 10 or more sandwiches with 24 hrs notice. Our small delivery service is provided by caviar and is available M-W and Sat through lunch. On Thursday and Friday we don’t offer caviar service during our lunch…

    Is there any vegan options?

The French fries? It's a deli... so mostly meat/cold cut sandwiches.

Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.

Do you happen to live in Washington and miss said pastrami sando? My friend, I have good news for you. Dingfelder's pastrami is a dead ringer for that sandwich: huge slices of melt-in-your-mouth pastrami, regular and half sour pickles, and all the other accoutrements you'd expect from a legit Jewish deli. This place doesn't screw around. If you want a great, hearty, flavor-packed sandwich, this is one of the best places to throw your money. But, as others have pointed out, it's no cheap date: expect to pay over $20 for one of those mighty pastrami sandwiches. This isn't Subway so you're not saving money by eating here, but after one bite of their pastrami you'll understand why you're paying so much. Quality isn't cheap. I'd say this place is tied with Tat's Deli for the best sandwiches in Seattle.
