My friend and I went for happy hour (which we were told only takes place at the bar) (the bar that was extremely packed) so we just decided to sit outside and order off the regular menu. Our server was very kind and the ambiance is very matching of Chicagos Gold Coast. Definitely try the potstickers, they were amazing! Will be back to try the happy hour but right when it starts to get a seat at the bar.

Good place for breakfast attached to the Thompson Hotel (by Hyatt). Pleasant service in a great space overlooking the triangle in Gold Coast.

Great happy hour spot with great portions! When we got there we were moved around a lot. Happy hour is only in the area by the bar. Service was good everything came out very quickly! I got a dirty martini to start- I didn't love the taste. Something was a bit off about it. We got oysters, filet sliders, fish tacos, ceviche and truffle fries. All great portions! The oysters are great- came with a jalepeno lime sorbet which was a great topping! The filet sliders were also cooked very well and very flavorful! The ceviche was a huge portion! I loved this. Mostly shrimp with a cilantro lime sauce! Very great happy hour specials!

Just grabbed a coffee and some Gelato. Pretty good, the place is always packed outside and inside. Great people watching.

Came here for a girls night and I can say service was absolutely amazing!! Our waiter Ben was really good and giving his recommendations. He went above in letting us know what is good on the menu and we felt so welcomed. The ambiance inside is so good, it was a little warm and Ben made sure it got fixed before it got a little cool and it felt right. We ordered their lemon chicken which was a little dry and a little salty, but filled with a lot of flavors. Wished it was a little more juicier. Loved their truffle fries, we finished that off right away. The bolognese was good but it could be a little warmer for my liking. We also ordered dessert and it was good. It was a really big chocolate cake that could be split between more than 3 people. I applaud their service, but wished they did not have to go between the tables too much where I was sitting as I was being brushed from behind my chair a lot.

This place already comes highly recommended as it's a Chicago staple. I'm not one for the happy hour as it gets incredibly loud and packed. The food is amazing and the cocktails are always on spot. Lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Was dreaming about this brunch the night before, that when the morning came, Tavern on Rush was my first stop. Despite it being very crowded, it was easy to get a table outside upon walking up. It was a windy day in Chicago, but the workers were hospitable and attentive. Highly recommend going with friends and splitting both a savory and sweet item, because both the omelette and pancakes were the perfect mix. The portions are extremely generous and the prices are extremely fair. This was by far one of the best brunches I've had in a long time. There is nothing better than starting your day with a delectable and delicious meal. I've heard the restaurant is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so I can't wait to try the lunch and dinner menus. Tavern on Rush has easily became one of my new favorite places and I can't wait to dine here again.

Went today for a lunch meeting. I've been a few times. The glassware on our table had residue wait staff was OK, but one of them rolled their eyes at the acquaintance I was dining with. I informed them about the residue and they tried to tell me that that's the glass, but there were granules in the glasses. Outside of that the staff was attentive as there were only a few of us in the restaurant. It's fairly quiet during lunch. The gumbo was really really good. The Caesar salad was good and the pork belly fried rice was really really good and I had a nice Cabernet as well.

Love, love, love the new Tavern on Rush!! I had such a wonderful brunch here today. My waitress Jessica was great! We had the tavern breakfast and the salted caramel pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious. Amazing experience! I tried the Pineapple Express cocktail, and it was great. Very refreshing! Can't wait to come back here very soon!!!

Tavern on Rush is an upscale restaurant with a great vibe. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff I s very professional. I recommend sitting in the bar area, having some drinks and appetizers.

New location now located connected to Thompson hotel my place is back open! I absolutely love tavern on rush. Perfect little spot to sit outside and enjoy good food. It's a vibe, good music exceptional service and ambience will have you staying longer than you anticipated. For starers me and my girl did the calamari, and the Cesar salad . I was so happy they also had the option grilled delish and highly recommend. For entree we both did filet mignon I ended up doing the petite one. Sides we chose mash potatoes and asparagus. Dinner was lovely . Cocktails I chose the expresso martini which your girl didn't finish due to the 1942 shots . Overall the drinks were made with love . Great choices for wine options too! Enjoyed my experience and look forward to being back soon!

I went here for brunch with my family on a very cold January day. This restaurant recently reopened under new management and it was jammed inside. The chicken sandwich itself was decent and satisfactory. Really just a normal chicken sandwich, but I did enjoy the fig jam and Brie. However, the real issue with this place is the service. We were celebrating a birthday and not only did they forget the birthday dessert but it took over 30 minutes to get the check once we had asked. Our server changed halfway through lunch and this created a lot of confusion throughout the meal. My parents had gone here a few weeks prior and had a much better experience so I don't know if it was just an off day or what? I think it's an easy place to meet up with friends and I would try it again, but probably not anytime soon.

All the premier dinners come with salad, cheese, fondue, and the chocolate fondue - You are just choosing what protein you would like. The Prince Geja combination has a little bit of everything. However, we most liked the seafood which includes lobster and the scallops were to die for! Also the beef also cooks well. Favorite dipping sauce included the pimento mayo, chimichurri, and garlic butter. The cheese fondue is quite rich and the bread is quite filling so maybe get as much cheese as you can on each piece of bread. The chocolate fondue, I think is actually the best course as the Belgium chocolate melts so well and has a decadent but not overly sweet flavor. It pairs well with all that is provided for dipping, which includes poundcake, rice Krispies, strawberries. They also have some liquor that they light on fire at first so you can roast the marshmallows. It is such a well thought out experience. Service flows very well from two waiters who take your order set up your fondue pots for each course, but be prepared to spend at least 2 hours on this experience. Check out the Groupon but also I read a review that they just tack on the extra $50 so it's not really too much of a savings. Not sure if this is true.

Also appreciated that they were accommodating for the vegetarian in our party. Everything except the cheese course can be made vegan friendly as well. The service was top notch! Appreciated that they called me ahead of time to confirm our reservation and ask about food allergies. All the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. They were quick to refill items and answer any questions we had. The location is classic fondue restaurant, cozy and romantic. However, also perfect for catching up with a friend. I love the history in this place and really enjoyed the mood lighting. Pricing was fantastic for the quality of service, food, and drinks! Look forward to many happy returns!

And that's because the menus were being printed with a personalized birthday message! Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. The mussels (provençal-style) were delicious and enough to share among three people. The truffle-parmesan fries: We couldn't tell if they were too salty or just salty enough, but somehow we couldn't stop eating them! I ordered the baby wedge salad with chicken, and while the chicken looked small at first, it ended up being a large enough portion to last the salad. We were also surprised with complimentary desserts: the Chocolate Chunk Cookie Skillet and Buck Russell's Cake. Though I'm not a sweet person, my dining companions thoroughly enjoyed them.

I came here with three others and we all ordered different things from the brunch menu along with a few drinks. The atmosphere here is open, modern, and pretty eye catching, we all heard a few negative comments about brunch here and rather than just taking words of advice we came anyways. To be honest we should've went elsewhere, the only thing about the food that actually seemed to have any flavor was the fries and even they were a little salty like my wallet when we left LOL The Jumbo (not so much) Lump Crab Benedict at $25 was honestly boring lacking any flavor also it didn't even come with potatoes I ended up sharing my Lincoln Park Turkey Club that was good but even it was pretty basic at $21, the Burger at $21 literally looked like something off the kids menu the bun was bigger than the patty LOL and the Blackened Chicken Caesar at $19 was more like an appetizer size and the chicken at least it was juicy not dry. Other reviews about brunch here seem to be about the same and honestly I think it's funny they don't even try to elevate their food when so many say about the same things. I think the only reason why people come to this place is 1. It's located in Lincoln Park and 2. that makes it a trendy spot to eat. So why bother fixing anything when it's just trendy and flavorless Their brunch is mediocre but apparently dinner is where it's at. However after the experience with brunch I'm not even sure I would even go back. Come here for the staff eat at your own expense maybe your food will have flavor or not but honestly do what you want and keep it trendy

I really wanted to like it; this was a nine-year anniversary dinner. Service was really attentive and friendly and I did appreciate that they brought out specific utensils for me as a left-handed person, never saw that before! The restaurant felt a bit bare and sterile, I think I was maybe expecting a little more decor on the table for a Michelin star restaurant. To echo several of the reviews below, the salad was awkward to share and scanty, the soup was good but the bread served with it felt like an afterthought, the sturgeon wasn't anything special though the sauce was quite good, and we are pretty sure the cut of beef was not wagyu or if it was it was not cooked the right way. The beef was the most disappointing part, I couldn't even chew through all of it. The add-ons were the best part - pasta was great and our dessert was delicious. But the rest of the meal was unfortunately mediocre. Hoping that others have a different experience with the regular menu!

I love that the tables are widely spaced out so you don't feel like you're on top of another party. I loved the bowls everything was served in, and the silverware was unique. And the service was great. I appreciate when they left everyone finish before they clear the table. While I thought all the food was good, I think it overwhelming fell flat flavor wise. I don't think anything blew me away like I was expecting which was disappointing. We had the caviar supplement, which they accidentally gave us two of (amazing), which was good but also didn't blow me away. I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavors of the soup but that's probably a personal problem. The sturgeon and wagyu were alright. I wish I left being amazed but I left thinking I wouldn't come back, not even for RW again. I think my favorite bite of the night was the sticky date cake. I think it was the most flavorful but it wasn't the best dessert I've ever had. It lacked SOMETHING but I couldn't tell you what.
