Best fasha on Devon It's shredded meat with either chicken or lamb. Normally eaten with fresh bread. It wasn't too spicy but you could opt for spicy option. Full of flavor and would recommend it to everyone who wants to try something different

Lately we're trying the new offerings of the expanded menu. Went for the lamb over rice as well as the chicken gallaya (Mediterranean breakfast part of the menu). The gallaya included a very large flatbread which also comes on a previous visit with things as small as lentil soup. Portions are generous and tasty, prices continue to be low. Tacked on a chai (good combination of spice, sugar and milk) as well as a mango Rani soda (with chunks!).

wayy too much fat on the meat and food. I never complain about food but that fat spoiled it.

I haven't had taza in years and sad to say it definitely changed the beef shawarma I took 1 big bite and I couldn't let it go down I had to spit it out I'm really sorry to say because I don't like insulting food but you guys gotta fix all that fat on the meat it's gross and it spoils the taste. Improve the meat quality because it has a really greasy nasty taste to it again really sorry to insult but no bueno on the beef shawarma

Another one of those hole in the wall types, but I it's definitely worth checking out. The space is nothing much, but the food is 100/10. Ambiance is super quiet and chill. You can order take out or dine in, people will bring your food out to you, but it's not a full dine in service (no one is waiting on you). I tried the steak shawarma bowl, beef wrap, and falafel wrap. The bowl was super flavorful and full of fresh ingredients. Minus a few points for the bowl being more than half filled with rice, but the portion size is so large it compensates. The beef wrap had a good ratio of beef and filling. Same for the falafel wrap. The falafel was also super flavorful and moist. I believe the wraps are also made in house. They had a shelf full of house made bread, naan, and other bakery related goods. Tips: Pay in cash if you can!

I ordered a combination plate and a lahme Bahia today and it tastes absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back and try the other goodies this place has to offer.

Warning to customers -- dishonest pricing and hidden fees. I visited this restaurant on August 1 and ordered the Arabic Style Shawarma Beef, which is listed on their own printed menu for $9.99, or $12.49 as a full meal with fries and a drink. Instead, I was charged: $13.49 for the meal $1.29 for a can of pop A hidden 4% "non-cash adjustment" fee Total charged: $16.92 That's nearly $5 more than what's advertised. What makes this worse is that the same meal is cheaper on Uber Eats -- $11.99. Walk-in customers like me are being charged more than online delivery users, which makes no sense. There was no clear notice about the card fee either. This feels deliberately misleading. I've attached photos of the menu, receipt, and Uber Eats listing so people can see for themselves. Until the owner responds and explains this up charging, I'd advise others to double-check their receipts -- or take their business elsewhere.

Love this place! I've been to visit with friends a couple times, but this most recent time I was particularly impressed. They have so many fantastic options for food, and it's very well priced. The staff are very nice, and the place has plent of seating as well. I ordered the haneeth lamb with a chai, both were delicious. The lamb was very tender and juicy, and the rice was very flavorful as well. The chai was great too, pretty cheap but decently strong and creamy. Everything was very good! I hope to go back and try other dishes. Also this is definitely on my list of places to stop if I'm in devon area and need tea haha.

Mandi - I loved the lamb

Food was excellent! If you've never tried food from Yemen, this is a great place to try!!! The spinish pie is amazing. Mandi is a good dish, I got it with lamb that was so tender and amazing with spiced rice. Also had the stewed meat served with freshly baked bread. I didn't have enough room for the shawarma-pizza but it looked amazing! We'll be back again! Clean, comfortable restaurant.

I used to have lunch here when I worked in the plaza yearss ago and the food is as good as I remember! The veggies in the wrap tasted so fresh, pickles were on point and the lentil soup was so hot and delicious. It was a 35 min drive but worth it for my Friday lunch! Definitely recommend this place.

Our server was so kind and never let us make the mistake of ordering the wrong thing. She gave us her recommendations every step of the way and every single one was perfect. What we got: Mint lemonade: 5/5. SO refreshing and delicious. Perfect sweetness and the little bit of pulp you get is great. I only wish there was more of it! Chicken arayes: 4.5/5. Crispy, cheesy, garlicky. Need I say more? Get some extra garlic on the side if you wanna take it up a notch. Fried halloumi: 4/5. These are like a soft mozzarella stick, so tasty. Definitely eat the pickles with them. Lamb chops: 4.5/5. 4 tender lamb chops seasoned beautifully. Definitely recommend the red rice over the yellow if you can handle a little bit of heat. Kanafeh: 5/5. Whoever thought that cheese, sweet syrup, phyllo, and pistachios would go together is a genius. Definitely don't leave without getting this dessert. The salt of the cheese perfectly balances out the sweetness. No notes! And get some peppermint tea to go with it too. And the portion sizes are huge! Definitely get your money's worth here. My only issue is this place is right by my job so now I'm gonna go broke getting food here all the time. But that's a problem I'd love to have!

Their baba ghanoush is also creamier than others I've had, seems quite similar to their hummus, with a lot of tahini mixed in maybe? I am familiar with the area but didn't know that this restaurant was located in this small strip mall. I pass this strip mall all the time when going to the Alamo Drafthouse for movies, but never thought about pulling into here due to the small parking lot and that it is always crowded. Walking into the restaurant, there is a kiosk where you can order your food. As it was late and I just wanted to eat and not make a lunch for tomorrow, I ordered a Spinach Pie and a Combination Meat Plate (Beef kabob, Kifta kabob, Chicken Kabob and Chicken shawarma. Served with Rice, Salad, Hummus and pita bread) so I could have leftovers to take to work the next day. I placed my order, paid for it and had to wait for about 15 minutes to get my food. While waiting, I was able to look around the restaurant to see it was clean and brightly lit. The table and floors were clean and there were a few customers dining inside. The staff was nice and friendly as well. I got my food home and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food in the combo dish. There was a good amount of meat and rice, enough for two people easily. The combo dish is $25 but well worth it. The meat was cooked nicely and had good flavor. As good as that combo dish was, that Spinach pie was on point! The flavor was great and the dough was nice and fluffy/tasty. The food was so good that I decided to put in an order on Grubhub the next night to get it for dinner for later in the week. I wanted to place an order on Grubhub to get free delivery as a Prime member, but the online menu did not have the Spinach pies listed, so I ended up having to call into the restaurant to place my order. When you call into the restaurant, they take your number and will send you a link to pay for your order and to send them your address and delivery instructions. I ordered the same items again, but got extra Spinach pies and a Greek Salad with chicken as well. The delivery guy was nice and brought my food up to me as instructed. The salad was fresh and there was plenty of Chicken Shawarma on top of it. I ended up having that for dinner as well as one of the Spinach pies and it was delish. The Chicken Shawarma was very nice and again, this was a decent size salad and was filling along with the pie. I definitely want to go back to try some of the other dishes that they have, like the wraps and the gyro plate and/or wrap. There is a lentil soup I would also like to try as well. I would definitely recommend Falafel & Grill for eats.

Cute little bakery with Filipino inspired flavors!! I loved this place so much we went TWICE in a 4…read moreday trip! The lines are long but it moves quick. The first time we showed up at opening (~30 min) and the next time we got there 20 min before opening for a slightly shorter wait. There's no indoor seating but they'll pack it up really nicely in a box for you. They're under construction right now (assuming maybe reopening will have seats?) Bibingka ($6.50)-- MY FAVORITE!! It looks so unassuming but it is the perfect mochi+cake texture. There's a guava filling inside. It's just soooo good. Not too sweet where you can easily eat multiple!! Comes with a little banana (?) leaf but just peel it off. Longanisa Croissant ($10)-- SOOOO GOOD! First off, this longanisa doesn't have that bright red dye that you may be used to. They said it's homemade so it's truly pure goodness. Salty, savory umami + super flaky buttery croissant yes yessss. The texture of longanisa is perfect, texture of everything is perfect actually. Plus, having a salty pastry kind of helps cut the sweetness of everything else. Turon Danish ($8)-- CARAMELIZED BANANA + CUSTARD + FLAKY CROISSANT GOODNESS!! Need I say more?? It was perfect. It does lean on the sweeter side but .. that's to be expected of turon. For a truly "less sweet" sweet, go for the bibingka. Ube Oatmeal Cream Pie ($7)-- This one was just ehhhh personally. The ube wasn't strong enough for us. But if you like an oatmeal cream pie this is a great homemade version of that. Better than store bought by a WHOLE lot!! I just wish there was more ube flavor in the cream. Toasted Rice Croissant ($5.75)-- I really thought this was just a fancy name for a regular croissant but NOOO you really smell the toasted rice!! It's like how genmaicha has that toasted rice smell. It's soooo nice. No added taste (like yes it's still plain), but the smell just adds soooo much to the experience. Calamansi Chamomile Bun ($8.50)-- FYI calamansi is a VERYYY sour citrus!! Unlike the other sweet things, this one leans sour!! There's almost like a lemon curd custard inside. You either love it or hate it. I thought it was fine with the other sweets, but definitely wouldn't get it by itself. Pandan Basque Cake ($7)-- This was the only no-go for us. The cake was dry and the cream on top was weak in flavor. The pandan you could smell but couldn't taste. So as a whole it was just like a dry cupcake kind of vibe. Cream puff-- Forgot the price for this one but it was a good cream puff! Was it as "wow" as say turon or bibingka or longanisa? No. But it wasn't bad! Coffee was good! $6 for iced latte and $4 for hot macchiato. Reasonable price, good coffee, no complaints! Hope the renovations go well and I'll be back for sure the next time I come to Chicago!!

I appreciate the gaining traction and exposure for Filipino food and the flavors behind these pastries. Texture wise every pastry was amazing! The longanisa croissant and turon danish were flakey and buttery. The adobo brownie was nice and dense. However, some of the flavor profiles were a bit of a miss for me. The banana flavoring for the turon danish was leaning more towards artificial and the spices in the brownie were interesting/not bad, but definitely an acquired taste for me. My favorite of the baked goods would be the pandan basque cake and ube oatmeal cream pie- good amount of sweetness, overall richness, and balanced in flavor. I still think it's worth visiting and would go back to try the other pastries.
