Not sure how i feel about the drinks here... we ordered a taro slush and matcha slush, both w boba and well, the boba is kinda too sweet. Matcha slush was just right but the boba itself is a bit too sweet for my liking. Taro slush was good too, just that the boba was on the sweeter side. 3.5 stars. I love coming to this place to get some work done. The space is spacious and has plenty of tables. Has free wifi. Noise level quiet enough while I work on my laptop. They have a self-order station, so I don't usually talk to an employee. Iced honey black tea tastes good, no complaints whatsoever. Tried their fried tofu and could use some more seasoning or definitely needs the included sauce (ranch), but I still demolished the whole thing. Although many tables, half of them seemed wobbly and would move every time I would type or write, but there are some sturdier ones when you find the right one. The tables were clean but the bathrooms aren't. Although I didn't talk to someone to order, the times I did interact with someone was a hit or miss. Sometimes they greet you when you come in/say thank you when you take your drink.... and sometimes they don't. I had been coming to Tea N More for several years and finally decided to write a review. They are one of the more established boba tea shops in town. There were lots of tables and seats inside which many students take advantage of to do work or play games. I didn't see the need for the Japanese style game/vending machines and photo booths though. Not only did they take up floor space, but they were also rarely used whenever I visited. If anything, more power outlets should be added as I often observe customers in search of available ones to plug in their electronic devices. I also noticed that parking behind the building has become more difficult after neighboring Ajisen Ramen opened as a replacement for the former Coco's Bakery Restaurant. The menu featured quite a variety of beverages as well as appetizers/snacks/small bites. The price for a regular size black or green tea was one of the better deals you will find in the area. Boba pearls were $0.50 extra which is standard and upgrading to a large size was another $0.50. My most recent selection was a Passionfruit Green Tea with boba pearls. The quality of their tea was rather average, but at least you weren't overpaying for the product. read more

Cute shop, but the food was very disappointing. There is a lot of seating inside and board games and books are provided - it's very cozy and I liked the homey vibe. However, the food was really a letdown. My friend and I got the popcorn chicken, and were surprised to see what looked like cut up pieces of poorly fried chicken tenders. It did not taste or look like popcorn chicken at all- it was more like the chicken version of fish sticks. The box we received it in was also small and not even filled completely, which was very disappointing considering we paid almost $7 for it. Service is super friendly and fast and there is plenty of seating...only issue may be parking which is difficult during busy times (there is a parking lot behind the building but it's shared with other businesses and the spaces are small). I would say this place is more 3.5 stars. The ambiance was nice on Christmas Day. A local church was playing Christmas music. It was a nice shop where there is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The people working here were all nice. It is a bit disorganized if you look at the back of the shop. My issue was more w the food. For $10, you get a popcorn chicken meal with tea. It sounded like an amazing deal but the popcorn chicken tasted legit like from those frozen bags of chicken you pick up from Costco. It definitely didn't taste like Taiwanese popcorn chicken but more like fried American style popcorn chicken. The broccoli that they provide on the side was not seasoned nor was the hard boiled egg. Though this place has had many owners throughout the years. I always enjoy that they have a spacious comfortable space. I always order drinks and food here as I tend to stay long to get work done but I appreciate a space as such to hang out play games or even do work. Always very friendly customer service and I will always say that they have the best takoyaki in town because it isn't soggy and always crispy and delicious. I love their beef sukiyaki bowl too!! Popcorn chicken is tasty but pretty standard. I enjoy rose milk tea with aloe or plain green jasmine tea. The boba itself is lacking, typically too firm and a little small, but the other offerings make Tea N More still a 5/5! The lychee smoothie was so refreshing and delicious with a smooth, not icy, texture. Their menu is so vast, good luck finding a flavor of milk tea, fruit tea, smoothie, or slush they don't offer. The prices are great considering how expensive boba is getting in San Diego. All drinks are a large size and under $6 before added toppings - many under $5. The food options were also tasty, such as the good portion of fries and the popcorn chicken with various spice levels offered. The space is great for groups, as there is plenty of seating that can be moved around to accommodate various sized parties. The parking lot also has great availability, which is a rarity for most boba shops in the convoy/Kearny Mesa area. The staff is friendly and the shop offers discounts such as for students. We've been playing DnD since 6 PM (4 hours) and no complaints from the restaurant. I tried a Green Tea Boba drink ($5), takoyaki ($7) and the dessert crepe ($7). I really enjoyed their Thai tea, and the banana tea. Their boba was flavorful and didn't get hard until the next day in the fridge which is good. They seem to have a fun ambiance and plenty of games, little toy machines, and people doing puzzles. Their service was good, they were fast. My only issue is that I am lactose intolerant (which many people still don't believe it exists...strange) and I paid almost a dollar extra to get oat milk and within minutes of drinking it I felt the rumbling pain of milk/lactose ingestion. I KNOW when something has milk within 20 minutes, less on an empty stomach. Thank goodness for lactase digest pills and pepto. It's a shame I couldn't give 5 as I prefer their Thai tea to most others nearby and would 100% get the banana milk tea again. I'll honestly probably try them again eventually. read more

Wow I haven't been here in forever, yet everything is still consistent. Came here on a Friday night. Although school is no longer in session for most, this place still gets packed! Arrived around 8p to meet with a friend and there were many seats available. However as the night went on, more and more people started to arrive and by the time we left, the house was almost full. Sketchy business practices, wrong prices, and dismissive staff. Check your prices before paying. I've been to Tea N More several times and generally thought their low Yelp rating was undeserved. Now I know why. I ordered a Thai Milk Tea that was listed for $4.25 on the menu. The price that popped up on the screen was more than what was listed on the menu. When I asked why the price seemed off, the cashier said it was tax, then when I inquired, he backtracked and said the drink was 4.75. Then when I asked if they would revise their menu prices, another staff member chimed in saying the entire menu has a bunch of typos anyway. I think this place is popular mostly because it tries to stick to some of Japan's pop culture. They do a pretty OK job -- I lived in Japan for years and the booths and quirky toy slots thing they have is very reminiscent of Japan. As for the food, it was good but nothing that I haven't had somewhere else. My friend ordered popcorn chicken and it was average - not amazing, but not horrible. The drinks themselves are somewhat pricy? I ordered an iced milk tea and their drinks only come in defaulted sizes. It was almost $5.00?! Don't get me wrong - the drink was huuuuuge. I would've been able to share it with someone else. It was sort of packed when we got here in a late Wednesday night, too. With that said, the parking can be horrendous! This place is very roomy and lots of people come here to do their work! The parking lot is also pretty good in regard to open spots. The service was normal. I got their honey green tea 1/2 sweet and it was still a little sweet for me but still tasty! Great place with great drinks, super friendly people and fast service :) While I miss hanging out with friends inside, they are still open for take out and have online ordering. Everyone wears a mask and it's very easy to social distance since it's so spacious inside. Nice, quiet café in the Convoy area. They have a large enough menu of meals and snacks, as well as teas, coffees and juices. Their workspace is comfortable and the general area is clean and quiet enough to work at. I had the takoyaki and my companion had the curry shrimp plate and a tea. I enjoyed the takoyaki and was actually quite surprised, since I wasn't expecting much. It was crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and had a good amount of sauce, bonito flakes and octopus. My friend said his meal and drink were good, too. The service was just so-so. The gentleman at the counter seemed a bit tired. This place had quite a lot of reviews so I decided to check it out one weekday afternoon. There is a nice plentiful lot in the back for parking long term if you want to stay here for a long time. It seemed like a lot of people would come here to study because it has wifi, drinks, food, and dessert options to keep you satisfied while you study. Outlets are a bit sparse however so try to come here with a fully charged laptop or sit next to an electrical strip. The venue is really large with lots of tables and there is also a little arcade thing inside which I thought was kind of odd. The prices here are definitely on the lower side, which I appreciate. I ordered the matcha crepe because I've never had a crepe with matcha filling before. It came with a matcha filling as well as a lot of condensed milk. It was pretty delicious but definitely also very sweet. I also ordered the jasmine milk tea. At first, I thought it was too sweet and then it started to taste too watery and diluted.
