Cute place near Millennium park! Walking distance from all the touristy places in Chicago. Great place for boba recharge after walking around the city!! Crème brûlée was good! I would recommend doing less ice otherwise it'd end up being super watery! Ube matcha was mid and so was the mochi donuts. Not a lot of seatings and they can get packed with tourists time to time!
This spot is located in the Northbridge Mall food court. We came at 7:30 on a Sunday, even though the mall closes at 7. You can still get to the food court through a few elevators around the mall, but it's definitely less than ideal. After we got our food, a security guard kicked us out since the mall was closed. The food itself was pretty good though. We tried the ube basque cheesecake, which was delicious. I also had the strawberry milk, and without any changes, it really hit the spot. I didn't really care for the bottles it came in--the top of ours actually broke when we tried opening it. I'd definitely prefer regular bottle caps. Other than that, this is a nice spot for dessert and tea.
Came here for a post lunch bubble tea and while initially excited to try the drink, I'll say it was pretty average and nothing amazing. A bit expensive for the size, but the aesthetic and taste were fine. I didn't actually like the can honestly, but that's more of a personal preference. Drinks also took a bit to come out which was strange since we were the only ones waiting in the area. Overall, I thought this spot was fine, but I probably wouldn't come back.
The place is located inside the mall. You can order via the 2 kiosks available. I ordered the Mango Lemonade and it's made in the can. For the price, it's expensive 'cause I finished that drink in seconds. The drink was really refreshing and pretty good though. Make sure to mix it well, otherwise it'd be a bit sour. The kids and I wanted bubble tea so this was one of the bubble tea places we went yesterday. The containers where they place the drinks were unique. It is similar to a soda can set up. The kids each got their own drinks of which they liked. I got myself the mango dessert. The dessert is good, not overly sweet.
FLAVOR (3/5): Didn't really like their boba or tea here. The tea tasted a bit bitter and the drink itself tasted low quality. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (3/5): This location is located in a food court area which you need to take an elevator and walk through a restaurant to get to. The cups are jars but otherwise the rest of the storefront was lackluster. SERVICE (3/5): They are understaffed and unable to make certain drinks on their menu because of it. Drinks too a long time. TAKEAWAYS: Really disappointed in their chain, Chicago just has no good boba and this was the only option in the River Walk area.

While killing some time on the Mag Mile, I was in need of a beverage. We walked by a poster of boba drinks and decided to stop in. Te'amo Boba Bar is located in the Shops at North Bridge on the Mag Mile in the food court on the 4th floor. What we didn't realize is that we would have to take an elevator to the 4th floor, then walk through Lao Sze Chuan to get there. It felt weird walking through the restaurant, but one of the employees guided us in the right direction. The instructions at the elevator said to cut through the restaurant so that's what we did lol. We were surprised to see that Te'amo was in a huge food court. They are a cashless establishment. They have two kiosks that you can order from. In addition to beverages, they also sell mochi donuts. I was a little bummed to see that the drink I had planned to order (Passion Mojito) wasn't on the menu. I ended up getting the Mango Green Tea at 75% sweetness. My cousin and her husband ordered a Matcha Latte with oat milk and crystal boba and a Strawberry Smoothie with crystal boba. My tea was a bit bitter. It was actually a little too strong on the tea flavor, but the mango flavor was nice and the sweetness level was just right. It was refreshing enough to quench my thirst, but I wasn't able to finish it because the bitterness of the tea became too much. read more

After wandering around the Magnificent Mile and exploring Streeterville one evening, we decided to take a look inside the Northbridge Mall. The mall itself was pretty empty with most businesses closed for the day. We took the escalator and made our way to the fourth floor and feeling a little thirsty, I made my way over to Te'amo Boba Bar. The bar itself is located in a food court on the fourth floor. At that time of the day, it was really quiet up there. I walked right up to the bar and started looking at the menu. The two employees behind the counter were very friendly and polite. They answered a few questions I had and made a couple of recommendations. In the end, I decided to order a Te' Amo Matcha Latte. The drink itself was beautifully presented in a unique container that needs to be opened from a tab on top like a can. I thought this was a great idea! In fact, I decided not to open it there in the food court and carried back to my hotel closed. The design of the container made this very convenient and I wasn't worried about spilling any as I walked back to the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed the drink! The strength of Matcha was just right and the sweetness was perfect, not too sweet and overpowering. The drink was a good size for what I paid and it was refreshing and fulfilling. The best part about it was that because it was easily transported back to my hotel room, I was able to sit at my window and drink it while looking out on the city and river, while taking a relaxing break before going back out. I really enjoyed the drink, the concept and vibe of Te'Amo. Plus the name is a really cool play on words, meaning "I love you" in Spanish. It can also be interpreted as "love tea", at least to me. I thought about this drink long after leaving Chicago and would like to see one in Houston one day. Next time I'm in Chicago, I'll definitely stop by and try another Te'Amo drink! read more

I was eating at Lao sze Chuan next door and they had QR codes for boba so of course I ordered! I wanted some type of fruit tea but they didn't have any so I opted for a lemonade pea tea drink. It came with white crystal boba and strawberry jelly. The drink was very artificial tasting (tasted like a starburst or skittle but not in a good way). The flavors didn't mesh well. Also, the girl who brought my drink over from the shop just slammed the drink down and dashed away as I said thank you... a bit odd. read more

While I was in Chicago, I passed by this boba place and decided to try it out since I hadn't seen this chain before on the west coast. While the boba is on the pricey side, the packaging is pretty cool since it's served in a sealed can that you pop open. I got the Volcano Tea Latte, which was pretty flavorful and had a good amount of foam in it. Although this boba place doesn't stand out too much compared to others I've been to besides the packaging, it's not bad and would satisfy any boba cravings pretty quickly. read more

So I'll start off with saying that the location was convenient and the ordering system was super fun. It is located on the top floor of a shopping center right off of Michigan Ave in the food court and they have a self-ordering station so you can do all the choosing and customizing yourself. When I went they were the busiest spot in the food court but not super busy by any means. I was really craving boba as it was a hot sunny day and boba just sounded so refreshing. I ordered one of the milk teas with boba and it took about 15-20 minutes which I wouldn't have been mad about if it was good. The tea was bitter and instead of tasting milky, it was just kinda watery and the boba didn't taste fresh. For the price and wait, I probably wouldn't go back. I ended up tossing my drink and went elsewhere for a different drink. read more

Really liked this place! This location was on the top floor of the mall with Nordstrom on Michigan. Registers were closed, so orders were only taken by kiosk. Everything tasted great, and I was even more fun with the cute bottles. Sadly, only a one-time use. Drinks were super tasty. Boba was also well seasoned. Just could've been more cooked because they were a bit tough to chew. read more

The only other time that I have had a better boba was when I was in Hawaii and back home in Malaysia. I got the coffee cream boba and it tasted like Nescafé on steroids just like how I use to have back home. We call Nescafé Ping and this came pretty darn close to what I remembered it to be. The boba was fresh which is how it is supposed to be. And on top of that the service was great. read more

Best spot to come quench your boba thirst! One of the closest spot near the river walk. The drinks are made to order and taste pretty fresh. It is located in a mall on the top floor. Atmosphere is pretty quiet and not crowded. We waited not long for 3 drinks to be made. Friendly service. read more

I've actually gone to Te'amo a lot and at multiple locations, but you can't change my mind. It's not that good. The aesthetics are great, and I love the quality of their boba cups, but the actual milk tea is lacking. It's also a relatively expensive boba shop compared to others that are much better in taste and quality. You either get well cooked boba or you get really hard and mushy boba. I wouldn't come here unless there were no other options. read more

I feel like there's not much of a boba scene in Chicago so when I saw Te'amo on a sweltering day, it was like my prayers have been answered. Our order: dalgona matcha and volcano milk tea. All light ice. Don't recall if we adjusted the sweetness but if we did, would have been 25%. I loved my dalgona matcha! Subtly sweet, just how I like my drinks, and extremely refreshing. The drink got colder as the ice melted further which was well needed once we were outdoors. The drink does require a good amount of stirring and shaking to infuse the matcha and milk for optimal flavor. My partner liked his volcano milk tea. They're a little short staffed! Fairly long line and a lot of orders. The baristas had a hard time juggling their duties and some of the drinks do take time to craft. As for access, can enter from mall (a bit of a maze that way) or you can enter from Lao Sze Chuan (just tell them you're going to Te'amo and they'll point the way, same owners so they don't mind). read more

July 2021 - COVID Review: Wow, I wish I lived closer or that a location would open up near me just because of their menu alone! There were SO many options that I was tempted to order multiple drinks... almost. I like that they have a list of their top/popular drinks for us to choose from. Like others have mentioned, it is a bit hard to find the location at first but now that you've read reviews, you know that it's located inside a mall food court! You can either make your way to the second floor from the mall entrance or you can enter through the Lao Sze Chuan restaurant doors and take the elevator up. Once you get off the elevator, you'll see the restaurant bar and the bartender will point you to the entrance/exit doors where the boba stand is. They also have other desserts too. If you get the white moustache cheese teas, they can print an image on top of the foam for you! read more

The vibe of this place is great, it's located on the 4th floor of the nice Nordstrom mall, and the seating is quite abundant! However, my drink was not the best and this is my second time visiting a Te'amo. I got a plain Black Tea with cheese foam, and the tea tasted very burnt and bitter as if it were very oversteeped and from the bottom of the batch. The cheese foam was also quite flavorless and thin, unlike the thick and creamy foam I love! I think it was almost $7 so imo not worth it :( But still a nice place to relax if you want to take a break from shopping! read more

We were at Lao Szechuan and decided to order the Te'amo O2. The drink was super pretty although the top part was more purple than blue (probably more because it got mixed though). The flavor was a bit sour yet sweet, it tasted a bit like candy. My sister, 10, loved it. The only thing is it was $6.99 pre-tax which is really overpriced. Otherwise, it was pretty good! read more

I'm going to be honest, I don't really like this place. I tried the sea salt oreo cake. $11 price, which is pricey but I'd definitely pay it for a good cake. But, man, it was really bad. It wasn't sweet. It wasn't flavorful. I think the best part about it was the oreo, and they didn't even make that. Excellent presentation though! I love the cute little cake box. Service was okay. It didn't feel personable since the kiosk was the ordering device. I wouldn't come here again. Maybe their tea is better though, but I don't like tea unfortunately. read more

Came across this place inside of the mall. I ordered a Macha dalgona strawberry Boba and some coconut jelly with Ube cup. The Boba drink was super amazing. I would definitely order it again the coconut jelly cup with Ube was a little different from what I thought it was going to be. I wish the Ube was a little bit more sweeter and but definitely worth a try for somebody who hasn't had it yet. read more
