This might be my new go to matcha spot in South Bay. They use yame Nami matcha for the lattes and sell tins of it as well. Quick service and cute cafe vibe, I want to try their pandan matcha next time.

Ok this review is for the bun cot! Probably didn't spell it right. So I didn't give good review for the drinks but the bun cot makes up for them. It was flavorful and crunchy. It was still crunchy even when it was cold. My only think was shrimp was over cooked probably to get the crunch factor. I forgot to take a picture of them.

    Corn cloud 10/10

I'm so obsessed with their corn cloud. I can probably drink gallons of it. So this 5 star is mostly for the corn cloud drink. This new teashop is located in a run down dirty shopping mall making it a hole in the wall tea shop. Service was quick and shop was clean despite their location. I'm cutting down on my fried food intake so I didn't get to try any of the food. I will totally be back for my cheat day.

Stopped by a new boba spot today after hitting up Huong Lan for some of my Vietnamese fast food favorites and was pleasantly surprised. Apparently, if you spend $30+ at Huong Lan, you get a free drink from the new shop next door, TeaMo. Had I known that beforehand, I probably wouldn't have ordered my Vietnamese coffee because they have coffee drinks there too. The service was fantastic. The male cashier was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly fast. While chatting with him, I learned something new: they carry Japanese matcha powder in small tins, including a red matcha variety with a more savory, umami flavor profile. I had never heard of red matcha before, so that definitely piqued my curiosity. I'll have to come back and pick up a tin to experiment with at home, especially since my nieces and nephews love matcha. For my free drink, I got a lychee milk tea with non-dairy creamer, black pearls, 25% sugar, and ice. It was refreshing, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The shop has a clean, modern vibe, plenty of parking, and despite a steady stream of customers coming over from the bakery. I was in and out in under two minutes. My nieces and nephews are huge fans of boba, matcha, and any fruit drinks, so I'll definitely be bringing them back to explore the menu. They've only been open a few weeks, but based on today's experience, they're off to a great start. Great service, great first impression, and a nice addition to the plaza. Wishing them lots of success with their grand opening!

Matcha Late with Oat Milk (x2)

Final Thoughts: 4.00/5 New matcha spot on Tully Road. Kind of rare that I see anything happening in this plaza and very very rare that I go into this plaza to begin with because I'm not fond of trying to get out of here. My friends and I did want to try this place out. Seems like a fairly new place. They had a smaller menu when we first came, but after a little review, it seems like they expanded their drink and food menu a bit. As for the matcha, the pictures online showed a nice and rich matcha color, so we did decide to go here after dinner. Will be a solid 4 stars across the board here. Drink: Matcha Latte with Oat Milk: 4.00/5 Back to my basic matcha latte. Both my friend and I got their matcha latte today with oat milk. There really wasn't that many matcha options when this place initially opened. They don't have the additional cream tops like other places. Perhaps still pending or in the works. I'm always here for a simple matcha latte though. They actually do it well here. Even with the size of the cup, the ratios of matcha, milk, and ice are good. Of note, they do have the nugget ice provided here. Not a personal favorite for my friend, but I love the nugget ice because they're so cute. Sweetness was overall good. Matcha was a nice strong flavor, slightly sweet, light nuttiness. Menu: Their menu seems to have expanded since the last time we came here. I'm now seeing that they have just some more drink options and snacks. My friend and I didn't get any snacks today, but I did note that their snacks include Viet options like bánh khọt (these are the mini Vietnamese savory pancakes) and bánh bột chiên (fried rice flour cake). Other options include popcorn chicken and friesor tater tots. Doesn't seem to be an excessive amount at all, but honestly I prefer the quality over quantity. --------- Quality: Serving Nami Matcha Their matcha color looks very rich and seemed to have enough of it for the size of the cup. This cup is larger and I was a little concerned that the taste of the matcha would be diluted from the ice and milk. Their ratios actually work really well for me. Of note, at the cashier, it shows that they are using Nami Matcha. This is actually a nice matcha brand. Very smooth with a light and mild sweetness to it, which I enjoy. Price: Average Seems appropriate for a cup. Looking at the menu, the prices, they're around $7 to $8 per cup. There is an upcharge for the oat milk, so just a note for that. Milk substitutes are offered though. Prices for the snacks are very variable and will depend on which item you choose to get. Service: Sweet They're very nice and sweet. Went over the menu and asked if I had any questions when I first came. We were even able to get their stickers. Perhaps just a little something for us. When the drinks were done, one of the employees delivered the drinks to our table because we were sitting down at the time. Very short interaction, but memorable nonetheless. Ambiance: Simple Interior The interior is very simple and just gives me your quaint café vibes. The shop is kind of in a corner, so there's only so much light that comes in here. It's a cute café with minimal designs and interior. I like the interior colors with the light green and wood though. From the outside, it does look a little dimmer, but the interior is quite nice. Location/Parking: Large Plaza This parking and this area really is an area that I don't go to often given. Its's at the plaza on Tully and S King Road. The plaza itself is quite large and there is a hefty amount of parking, so I don't think that that will be a concern. It's a little harder to get out of the parking lot, but seems to be ok if you exit out through to S King Road versus Tully Road.

New matcha spot in SJ serving Nami Matcha! I came here upon recommendation and was happy that I made the visit. What immediately stood out to me on Yelp was how green their matcha was and the unique combinations they offered (ex. corn matcha). We visited on a Saturday around 3pm and there was no wait. I ordered the pandan matcha while my BF ordered the corn matcha. Both drinks were SOO good! I really appreciated how intense the pandan and corn flavors were for each respective drink. You're also able to purchase tins of Nami here - I got the yame powder for $40! Note - they're associated w/ Huong Lan sandwiches. If you spend $30 at Huong Lan, you get one free drink at Teamo!

4.5 STARS As someone that's allergic to crowds, I love Coachella, Burning Man, and EDC weekends because no lines! Add, BTS at Stanford this weekend. And, the AP x Swatch collab for a McD happy meal toy "watch"... It's the best time to hit up new spots or hard to get into cafes and restos. TeaMo soft opened last week so we had to pay a visit after getting our cơm tấm fix nearby. Limited soft opening menu: Series: Fruit + milk teas, matcha, cà phê sữa đá, and non-caffeinated. Oat milk available for no charge. They also sell snacks: Popcorn chicken, tots, bánh khọt (mini savory pancakes) and bột chiên (fried rice cakes). D R I N K S * Pandan Matcha Latte ($7.25) - Fixed sweetness Love their pandan milk with a natural vanilla-y sweetness. TeaMo uses Nami Matcha, an influencer founded brand. I prefer more umami forward matcha so I wasn't a fan of the matcha's harsh bitter aftertaste. BUT, the pandan milk did a good job mellowing out bitterness and balancing the drink. * Bạc Xỉu ($6) Cà phê sữa đá with extra condensed milk is the right move. I had a sip and it was delicious! Sweet but not too sweet and creamy. You can still taste the strong roasty flavor but the extra condensed milk takes the bitter edge off. * Strawberry Mint Lemonade ($5.75) - Request less sweet Super refreshing and nicely tart. Loved the nugget ice. S E R V I C E Owner was friendly and very helpful. I was worried the matcha latte would be too sweet (fixed sweet) but he assured me it wouldn't be. He was right! Drinks were ready in less than 5 minutes. A M B I A N C E Casual space with five tables. Restroom available. If you're in the area getting your Viet food fix, give this new small business a try!

Yum! 4.5 stars I was searching for a matcha place near by and TeaMo pandan matcha caught my eye. Drinks came out fast, the matcha is pretty good, and the pandan flavor is yummy for $7.75 it makes sense.. Staff was super sweet! And the space is cute. Why 4.5 stars? - I asked for half sweet & half ice but realized after I left it was only half ice put in the ticket. Unfortunately the drink at 75% (their normal sugar) is TOO SWEET.

From the creators of Huong Lan Sandwich, there's another matcha place in the Bay Area! This one especially interested me since they use Nami Matcha from @aaashleyk. If you like strong matcha, this is the place to try! Their matcha lattes are pretty high quality and I really enjoyed the Corn Matcha Latte personally. It has a fresh corn taste to it, and it reminds me of Chè Bǎp! No sugar adjustments, but it was ideal sweetness for me. The owner highly recommended the Pandan Matcha Latte, and I would say it's comparable to Airoma Cafe... but slightly better! Less astringent. Balances really well. My friend also tried the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba (50% sweet) and this was SOOO GOOD. The jasmine was so fragrant and floral, not too milky! The boba texture was nice and soft also! I need to come back and try their Banh Khot in the future!! The food menu here looks super enticing. A few tables inside for hanging out and doing work. Free wi-fi available too!

New cafe next to Huong Lan sandwiches serving Vietnamese iced coffee and matcha! This place is a bit difficult to find but if you park near Huong Lan, you should be able to navigate easily (it's in the corner!) This plaza has an ample amount of parking so you won't have to worry about on transportations logistics. The space itself is very brightly lit with green walls and some tables so you can study and work from home from. The menu itself has options for Vietnamese iced coffee, matcha, and non caffeine drinks (a good mix!) if you are interested in matcha, their primary vendor is nami matcha. I decided to order a Pandan matcha latte. I don't see many places in San Jose that serves it (which is surprising!) so I knew I had to go out and try it. I asked the person at the front if it was made with a cream top and they let me know it's from their house made Pandan milk which sold me immediately. It took no longer than 2 minutes to get which I really appreciated! The drink itself is very heavy on the Pandan and is on the sweeter side, just to let you know! When it blends with the matcha, it becomes more mild. That to say, this is more of a Pandan focused drink rather than matcha. If you ever had nha cafe's pandan drink, it is very similar to that. In my personal preference, I wish this drink was less sweet and we could have option to adjust. Overall, I definitely would come back here if I'm in the area and try what else they have to offer.

Came by for their soft opening and the drinks got me so hooked that I came back 3 other times within a week. Look at that matcha color! You can definitely taste the quality and it's the perfect amount of sweetness. I tried most of the drinks and my favorites have to be the pandan coffee, pandan matcha, and matcha latte! Honorable mention to the corn matcha though. I recommend normal 100% sweet for all the drinks. I saw on their IG that they recently launched blueberry and strawberry so I will have to return and try these two new flavors!! Good luck on the Grand Opening on Friday, 5/29! :)

Matcha Latte (3.5/5): Solid Matcha Latte, but I wish it was a bit more matcha-y. Also, I got regular ice level, but the drink was 75% full of ice. I finished the drink in about 8-9 sips because most of it was ice. This ice level would make sense in a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, but not in a regular Matcha Latte. Pandan Matcha Latte (4.5/5): I really liked the pandan in this drink. I love that the pandan is infused with the milk and not like other places that use pandan syrup. The matcha paired very well with the overall flavor too. The ice here was also a bit much, but it wasn't as much as my matcha latte.

My boyfriend and I have been searching for a coffee shop that has a pandan coffee similar to a shop down in SoCal. After 4-5 shops, we've finally found one that we love! The pandan they use mixes well with their coffee, and we asked for extra pandan to get more sweetness into it. The cashier was super friendly, excited to come back for more soon

In this case, one of these spots is Arisan. Since Matcha has exploded in popularity to my annoyance, (I say this because I was into Matcha before it started trending), I had to try. Once inside, everything looks aesthetically pleasing with seating on either side up against the walls. The layout is clean and non cluttered which I can appreciate from a design standpoint. The menu is clearly displayed on the countertop and it's nice to see that you still have an actual person to take your order. No iPad ordering here. Please keep it that way! I also loved the high ceilings and bright light from the floor to ceiling windows in the front. As you look to the right, you can also see all the Arisan branded products including canvas tote bags and loose leaf tea canisters lining the wall shelves. Nice touch. Now let's get to the good stuff. They specifically told me about one drink that was so unique and refreshing. Which drink was it? **Matcha Cloud Coconut Water $8.95- 100% fresh young coconut water + Matcha cream: This drink was so unique because the coconut water was so distinct and refreshing. The Matcha cream sat on top before slowly trickling down to mix in with the coconut water. I would have never thought to put these 2 flavors together. It was delicious especially on a day where it was 97 degrees here in SJ.

The strawberry matcha einspänner was beautifully presented, with strawberry jam at the bottom and a thick layer of strawberry foam on top. Unfortunately, the flavor and texture did not quite live up to the presentation. Even after mixing it thoroughly, the matcha tasted thin and was overpowered by an overly sweet, artificial strawberry flavor. It may be a fun choice for someone looking for a cute, sweet drink to photograph, but serious matcha lovers may find it underwhelming. The honey matcha was an even bigger miss for us. That said, they offer several unique drinks, including pennywort-based options, that I have not seen elsewhere and may be worth trying instead. Overall, the space and presentation were lovely, but the matcha itself fell short of expectations.

It was a Wednesday and Devin and I were looking to make it a productive work day. We stopped by later in the afternoon. There is ample seating but most of the booths were occupied when we arrived so we sat at a table. Club music was being played loudly so working here would not be ideal if you have to present in meetings. The tropical paradise fruit tea would've been better with a topping or two, but in an attempt to cut down on calories consumed I've began getting drinks without toppings. Unfortunately fruit tea without toppings is just not the same, but this was totally my choice and on me. The WiFi worked well. There are some outlets under the booths but none at the tables. I've been to other Rose Tea Lounge locations and I'd say that this one is definitely more club-like than others. Not the ideal place to work remotely by any means, but that's not to say that the drinks are bad or ambiance is poor. If you're looking to chat and catch up with friends, this spot would be a good choice.
