They had our favorite drink, black sugar boba with fresh milk and the prices on the online menu didn't seem updated, so we figured we'd check it out. Parking was easy with both a parking structure and plenty of street parking nearby. Inside, ordering was simple thanks to the self-service kiosks. We originally planned to order just one black sugar boba, but when we saw it was only $5.45, my daughter decided to get one for herself too. The drinks came out after a short wait, and we were really hoping we had found a new go-to boba shop. The flavor of the drink was good, and the brown sugar taste wasn't overly sweet. Unfortunately, the boba itself was pretty hard. We prefer our boba soft and chewy, so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, the pricing was great and the ordering process was convenient. Once it did, I devoured my pork pate sandwich like there was no tomorrow, and the mango passion fruit tea was a lifesaver on a hot day. I could have easily had the entire meal again in that same sitting, that's how good it was. Sometimes you need to cut out all the noise and just focus on the taste - that's what I feel like this place did. No frills and all flavor. We stumbled upon this hidden gem while searching for brunch spot nearby. We got one Tofu Sandwich (Banh Mi), one BBQ Beef Sandwich (Banh Mi), and a Rose Black Milk Tea w/ Agar White Boba & 2% Milk. The total was ~$29 (w/ tax not including tip). My beef banh mi was delicious. The fillings included perfectly seasoned bbq beef (mostly lean with some chewy tendons, adding texture), fresh shredded carrots, crispy cucumber & daikon, spicy jalapeño, and light mayo. The baguette had a crisp crunchy crust and soft inside. I'm usually not a fan of mayo (because it's unhealthy) but have to admit that it adds good flavor to a sandwich. My partner also enjoyed his tofu banh mi. Both were gigantic and super filling - lasted us for ~8 hours. The Rose Black Milk Tea was a great find! We asked for less sugar so the sweetness was quite subtle. I still wish they offered no sugar option. The rose flavor was aromatic but not overwhelming. The tea flavor wasn't as strong as I'd prefer but still made a good combo with the rose flavor. The agar white boba was the perfect mate for the rose milk tea - so tasty with a hint of rose/lychee flavor! I was walking with my Taiwanese friends around the area. The girls wanted boba so we passed by this shop. The guy took one look at this place and said it wouldn't be a good idea. First off, I drove right pass this shop without even noticing it as the shop is located on a quieter street full of various office buildings. When I ventured out on foot however, I was able see a t-stand outside the shop which acted as a beacon beckoning me to refreshing greatness. The shop entrance itself is blocked off due to COVID measures, and they have done a great job erecting plastic barriers to protect both customers and employees alike. All employees I could see inside were wearing masks, and they have contactless payment options and an automatic dispenser outside with hand sanitizer. Service was really friendly, and for around 3pm when I arrived, there was noone else in line at all waiting so I was able to get my order really quickly to boot. Ordered a Passion Fruit, Orange & Grapefruit Green Tea w/ Boba (say that 10x fast), which came out to $5.45. The drink itself was very refreshing and I could definitely discern the various flavors that made up the drink. The boba was also very chewy and generously portioned.
