    Black Sugar Assam
    Alden C.

This Teaspoon location is honestly really great! It's a small cozy store, but the customer service here is outstanding and super friendly. The drinks are pretty good and I like it better than some other Teaspoon locations. The Grasshopper is definitely not my thing because of the cucumber flavor, but the Black Sugar Assam hits the spot with the black sugar flavor. The boba was also pretty chewy and not hard despite it being later at night where stores usually aren't making a new batch of boba by that point. I'd recommend this Palo Alto location. It was really busy even late at night, but there's a good reason for that.

Classic thai tea and Taro Lover

We tried out the Classic Thai tea with bubba and Taro lover with Taro chucks. Both the bubba and the taro chucks were quite good but the the thai tea was really watered down and the Taro tea tasted ver artificial. Super disappointed. Will have to try something else next time. There are seating areas outside by the parking lot and two high tables inside. Not the greatest ambiance but has Wi-Fi. Service was good.

Clean and cute on the inside of the shop. There's a screen to order at or you can order at the counter. The drink itself was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the texture of the boba was good. I got the Taro Lover and added a request for 0% sweet, but I'm not so sure it is in fact 0% sweet - or perhaps the sweetness is fixed. The taro itself is also sweet, but I appreciated the texture. Overall, fairly average for the price. Would maybe go again, but not my favorite.

    Silky Strawberry w/ Honey Boba
    Generous Y.

I've been to Teaspoon in LA and had a good drink so I was hopeful despite the average-mediocre ratings here. Wasn't disappointed! Seems to be consistent with other Teaspoons and a solid boba spot for the area. Silky Strawberry w/ Honey Boba - obviously sounds like strawberry milk and it is, but it's definitely a level up from grocery store strawberry milk. Lactose free milk adds a nice kick and then the puree is pretty good too, you get some with each sip even after mixing. Boba is soft, chewy, and has an outer coating of sweetness from the honey. Better than a lot of boba up in SF actually. Could be a strong contender for go-tos if the location was closer.

I got a guava sunshine and was so good! Perfect amount of sweetness. There is some seating outside as well as plenty of parking in the area. The inside was clean. The service was very fast with online orders coming in too.

There was no line when I stopped by on a Thursday noon. The employees were super friendly and I was in and out in less than 5 min for 3 drinks! I ordered a Silky Mango for myself since I wanted something light and refreshing. I usually try to avoid dairy milk when I can, so I was very happy to hear that they were offering oat milk for this drink. Otherwise, they use lactose-free dairy milk. I got it with oat milk and kept the honey boba that was included. The silky mango lived up to my expectations! It was refreshing, sweet, and a great balance of milk and mango purée. I'd definitely get this drink again :)

Nice place where the staff let us order even though we came in 5 minutes before closing! They were out of a lot of stuff but that was to be expected at the time we came. My drink was good (average) but my two friends got the passion fruit special (flamingo drink?) and they said it was super sour and then super sweet! Remember to mix!

Chocolate macaron and Strawberry Colada Smoothie, both were very good

Ordered: Hojicha Einspanner (go to), Espresso Tonic (go to), Seasonal Drinks, Pour Over Covour is one of our favorite coffee shops and we always come during the weekends! Highly recommend going early because the parking fills up fast, therefore, the seating in the coffee shop fills up fast as well. Our go-tos are usually an Iced Hojicha Einspanner and a pour over, Iced Americano, or an Espresso Tonic. We've tried their matcha as well, which is also solid! Every single time we have gone (which is usually when they open), there is already a line forming outside the door. Depending on how busy it is, we have waited between 12-18 minutes for our drinks (on the high end), but the drinks are always so yummy! They also have an amazing selection of pastries including an everything croissant, cookies, mochi, pistachio raspberry croissant, spinach and feta croissant, and a mushroom croissant to name a few! Their Hojicha Einspanner is sooo good. The Einspanner is so creamy and their Hojicha is the perfect, balanced amount of nutty flavors. Whenever I have ordered this drink, people are always eyeing to see what it is because the presentation is also that good! The Espresso Tonic is also a perfect summer drink and the shot was pulled perfectly. If you want to get some work done here, I'd highly recommend coming early so you can grab a table and to also bring your headphones because it does get busy and loud. They also have WiFi and one single bathroom. Thanks Covour Coffee!

It's quite disgusting and turned me off to having their pastries, which sucks because they are tasty. The last few days in a row I've come and seen this issue. I brought it up to the employee at the register and he just looked at me and completely ignored what I said and shrugged. It seems like they don't care to follow health regulations. I hope this issue gets nipped in the bud and they install some plastic/vinyl curtains on the display case or figure out a way to fix their fly problem so that I can enjoy the pastries again. I'll update the review when I see that it's been fixed.

I especially love getting either the matcha or hojicha latte with the soft serve top. The soft serve melts into the drink and makes the latte even creamier, but it's also delicious to eat straight off the top. I love the balance of sweetness with the deeper matcha flavor- it still tastes distinctly like matcha rather than just a sweet milk drink. // Cheese Tart I was initially skeptical about a matcha cheese tart, but this completely changed my mind. It's essentially like a rich, creamy matcha cheesecake inside a buttery tart crust. The filling has such a deep, creamy flavor, and the buttery crust pairs so well with the matcha. So yummy! They have other flavors like Hokkaido and Ube, which are a bit sweeter in comparison with the matcha cheese tart. I keep missing out on the seasonal strawberry flavor when it comes around. Their cheese tarts are definitely one of the things that makes Maruwu stand out from other matcha spots. There is seating inside but it can be quite loud and packed sometimes.
