There are games available in the store for patrons. I ordered a winter melon tea with boba (30 sugar, less ice) and my friend ordered a grapefruit tea with boba. My boba was okay. It did give me hints of winter melon taste and it wasn't super sweet, but I didn't feel like it really stood out as being a great drink. It was just okay. The boba was super soft and was a little sweet, so it was good with my drink at 30% sugar. Teatop is one of my favorite boba spots in the bay! They have a wide variety of options, some uncommon flavors you cannot get at other boba places, a peaceful atmosphere, and fun events every once in a while! They are currently having Anime August, where they offer a free anime sticker per drink you order. They also decorate the interior with posters, balloons, figurines, etc. I attended the Spy X Family event and now have a Spy X Family sticker! I like a lot of their milk teas, so I take turns ordering them. This time, I ordered the Alpine green milk tea with egg pudding. Their egg pudding is consistently smooth and the right amount of sweet. The Alpine milk tea was extremely refreshing. Alpine green milk tea taste is like a strong green milk tea, with a hint of some other taste of something similar to oolong. I haven't found any other restaurants that sell it. There is plentiful parking and there is a lot of seating indoors and outdoors. The interior is very clean, and there are smallish booth sort of areas which are nice for taking quick pictures. The music is not too loud, which is a common problem at other boba restaurants. It has a clean, relaxing, atmosphere. Authentic tea and wonderful, quick service! I will come here again. read more

I came in on a Sunday afternoon and the 3 or 4 employees seemed busy making a lot of drinks (possibly a bulk order or just online orders), so I used to kiosk and ordered an alpine green milk tea with boba pearls, 80% sweetness, regular ice. My number was called and I was told they were out of boba :( and asked if I wanted to substitute a different topping, which I declined. Once the drink was ready, my number was called again. I had to ask for the refund on the topping, which seemed a little inattentive on the staff's part for not initiating that on their own, but I understand they were busy. Seems like there are a lot of technical difficulties with their systems, because not only did the kiosk allow me to add pearls to my order in the first place even though they were out, but it was unclear if the partial refund went through, and we ended up just refunding the entire order and placing a new order without the topping. I was given receipts and asked to verify that I saw the refunds on my end, but I could only see pending charges on my credit card, but no negative signs indicating whether they were charges or refunds. I had to check my bank account again the next couple of days to make sure that the refund went through and I was only charged once for the drink. I'm thinking I should have just asked for a full refund right off the bat, because the drink definitely feels incomplete without any boba pearls, but that was my mistake. The alpine green milk tea drink was good at least! I like jasmine green milk tea usually or golden oolong, and this fit into my flavor profile, though there was a weird lingering aftertaste, possibly from the creamer, that I didn't care for. read more

Not only are the decorations really cute, but the workers are super sweet as well! Really clean and their alpine green tea is something that I can't find in most boba stores. Its a perfect place to study as well and I can tell the manager (or owner) takes really good care of the place with carefully thought out decorations! I've lived in milpitas my whole life and I can't believe ive never been here! I was craving boba and I went here because it was the nearest to where I was. It's super cute inside and right knkw they have a raffle going on with Pokémon which I think is super cute!! I got an early grey milk tea with boba and it truly hit the spot. The service was nice and the workers were very friendly and polite! The great thing about this place is that they play logo music and there's little Pokémon decorations everywhere, I love it. Check to see if you're part of a group or company that has a discount with them. It'll be marked as the Gold VIP discount on your receipt, which is 10% off your overall purchase. From what I understand, the discount is available on a location-by-location basis as this is a franchise. Meaning, while you may get the discount at this location, you might not at the San Jose or Fremont locations. The important thing is that this TeaTop is in the middle of a lot of companies and has taken advantage of that, so definitely ask. Be aware that they won't let you stack discounts and deals. For example, back when they had the Lady's Day deal (BOGO free on Tuesdays), you couldn't use that and your discount at the same time unless you made separate purchases. This location is located in McCarthy Ranch Marketplace (immediate parking is a bit tight at times, but opens up around Shabuya and in front of Ashley's) and unfortunately doesn't seem to take online orders. TeaTop only seems to do online ordering for the San Jose (Bollinger) location through their TeaTop USA website and Yelp. It's a Taiwanese franchise partnered with a tea enterprise that includes Chang Sun Tea (a tea brand that was established in 1907). As such, it could be said that TeaTop's specialty and the tea that is specific to them is their Alpine green tea drinks. Actually, they have a great variety of teas that they use in their tea drinks, including oolong, earl grey, Darjeeling, and Sun Moon Lake black tea. In terms of flavors and drink types, they have the popular things (brown sugar, milk foam, lattes, etc.), but there are also have the more specifically Asian flavors like mung bean, wintermelon, red bean, and aiyu. It makes it a very convenient boba place for large, mixed groups of coworkers. Overall, it's a long-time, reliable favorite, especially if I'm getting lunch around here. I think the Top 10 drinks (from the Top 10 menu) are probably the most reliable in terms of being good. Our favorite is their Alpine milk tea, earl grey milk tea, and passionfruit tea medley, though I also often get the pearl matcha latte as it has the perfect amount of sweetness/non-sweetness at 50%. I heard about TeaTop and saw so many pictures of their drinks that I knew I had to try it at some point. The interior of the shop is very spacious and clean. There were about 4 boba baristas working behind the bar and there was only one customer ahead of me. I browsed their menu and decided to go with the earl grey milk tea with boba. It was one size only and was a little over $6 before tip. As soon as I had my first sip, I was so surprised at how good it was- the tea was perfectly sweetened and the boba was firm yet chewy. I am always skeptical when I order earl grey milk tea because more often than not, it doesn't turn out very good. But believe me when I say this was one of my top favorites that I've ever tried. 5/2/2021 Quarantine Day 412 After a delicious meal at AYCE Shabuya, I went next door to TeaTop for a drink. It was almost closing time, and I asked the staff if it was okay for me to still purchase something and they were totally nice about it and let me in. I was pretty full from dinner so I asked the girl who was helping me what she would recommend. She was really friendly and explained the different types of drinks they had. She recommended a fruit drink since these are lighter. So I ended up getting the Passion Green Tea Medley, which is on their Top 10 most popular drinks. And this drink was definitely light, and I love the passionfruit flavor. The tea flavor is also great but not overpowering. The toppings in the drink were boba and coconut jelly (or maybe it was aloe). But overall, the drink itself was very refreshing. Another teal top location right in the heart of the the mccarthy area. I've been to a few other locations but this is my first time at this location. Very cute interior design throughout the store. They also have a nice selection of seasonal drinks as well. A few were out so I was lucky enough to snag a few other items. Let me start this off by saying I really liked the drinks at their SJ location, so I was expecting similar standard of drinks. I ordered the grapefruit green tea with crushed ice. They still use fresh fruit here, but unfortunately, it doesn't taste good lol. The drink was a bit tasteless since the fruit wasn't sweet/sour and the tea wasn't as strong. I guess it's my fault for ordering this drink when grapefruit is not in season. My main complaint, however, is about the ice. The drink is named CRUSHED ice (it's usually more expensive than the other drinks on their menu), but they gave me regular ice. I mean...if I've never tried the crushed ice drinks at their SJ location, I might've dismissed this fact. BUT the ice size makes a hugeee difference. My bf ordered our usual fav - wintermelon lemon with aiyu jelly. It was just okay. The lemon was a bit too overpowering, and wintermelon was too subtle. Super cute interior though! I recommend their fruit teas here because you can really taste both the fruit as well as a strong tea flavor. *Peach green tea + Ai-yu: even though the peach flavor is syrup based, there's bits of peach fruit too which is different from other places. I love adding ai-yu here because it makes the whole drink light and refreshing. 50% sugar is my preferred sweetness here I've had their jasmine milk tea pre-Covid but did not like the drink so i haven't returned until this weekend. I can't comment on it now, but one of the reasons I didn't like it then was because their tea wasn't prominent and the drink wasn't creamy. Get the non-milk teas here and add ai-yu! read more

What a good find. Cute place. The decor is a mix of floral and anime things. Lots of great options. Taro smoothie with boba - real taro! If you like the fake stuff don't order this. Can't adjust the sweetness for this but the sweetness was just right. Not too sweet. Pineapple smoothie - the sweetness was adjustable for this one and we got it at 50% and they made it right. I have been wanting to try this place out for a while now and I finally was able to make my way over on a Friday evening. Luckily when I visited, there was only one person ahead of me. I decided to order the #21 which was the sun moon lake milk tea. I decided to add pearls to my drink as well. I asked for my drink to be a little sweeter since I was craving something sweet. The drink tasted liked a regular milk tea. I didn't taste anything different or significant from the sun moon lake tea. The sizes are huge. If you want a large drink this is definitely the place for you. I really appreciate this. Not many boba places now a days have large regular drink sizes. I do have to take a star off for the boba pearls. They were very hard. They were not chewy or bouncy so I was slightly disappointed with that. I usually like my boba pearls to be soft and chewy and easy to bite in to. Overall, I feel like they are another solid boba shop in the Bay Area. They have a large selection of drinks to choose from. Hidden Gem in the Bay Area!! Def recommend coming to this cute boba shop! The interior and decor show how much care the shop owners put into making this a great place to stay in. The week that I came in had an anime event during the month of August. It was the Jujutsu Kaisen theme and they were giving out free stickers if you buy a drink. I came in with a friend who needed a place to work on our projects together and this place provided! There were lots of seating to choose from but, take note that the tables are small. We fixed that issue by combining two tables to make one big one so we can work side by side. I ordered the Milk Foam Alpine Green Tea and woahh was it different...like a GOOD different. The drink did not have the usual earthy green tea flavor that we are all used to but a more sweet and floral fragrance to it. The milk foam did make it sweeter and I even ordered it with 50% sweetness. I would like to try it without the milk foam next time to see if there is a difference in the sweetness. I came here today with my sister after work. It's located in a plaza that's never super busy so ordering was fast. I always tend to order a lot of boba, so I'm always really grateful when baristas are patient as I order. The cashier was friendly and answered any questions I had about certain drinks or toppings. Service here is super fast also! I ordered four milk teas and they came out a few minutes later. The barista offered me a bag (don't know if they have carriers but their bags are pretty sturdy) and wished me a good day before my sister and I left. I dropped off a Thai milk tea with pearls and taro milk tea for my friend and his mom. His mom finished half of her Thai milk tea by the time I got home (which is a two minute drive away btw) and said it was "extremely good!" so I'd highly recommend it if Thai milk tea is your favorite flavor. My sister noticed that the taro milk tea I dropped wasn't a deep purple like it is at some places and commented that it's probably because they use real taro and don't add coloring like other places since the milk tea was the same pale color as real taro. I got earl grey milk tea at 50% and it has such a nice flavor to it. Tea top has strong tea flavors to their milk teas so add extra sweetness if you have a sweet tooth, but I thought 50% was just right. I paired it with egg pudding which ended up a little sweeter in comparison but the flavor pairs nicely with earl grey. The pudding is also nice and creamy. I noticed there were some grainy things while I was drinking my tea, which are probably tea leaves since Tea Top uses actual tea leaves to steep their tea. I don't really mind it, but just be aware of it if that's a turnoff for you! My sister ordered the sun moon lake milk tea with egg pudding. She says it's creamy, although neither of us can really pin down what "sun moon lake" flavor is. Whatever it is, it's good! I'd definitely go back here again. I've visited both this location and the Newark one a few times, and the quality of the drinks is consistent across both locations. One of my favorite drinks to order is Sun Moon Lake milk tea, 50% sugar, pearls and less ice but today I asked my dad to pick up the Darjeeling milk tea with pearls (same sugar and ice levels as above) and it was delicious! He also said that it took less than 5 minutes after ordering to receive the drink so Teatop has fast service. I've tried one of the fresh milk with tea drinks before and it just tasted kind of weird to me so I typically like to get their milk tea drinks. I've never tried their fruit teas before. Teatop is a great place to just hang out and chill with friends since they have a good amount of seating, but since we're on lockdown I will support them by ordering for pickup when I can. read more
