I have purchased from this location many times, but I'm honestly disappointed with the ordering service. The staff has been careless with my orders Since I usually don't come in myself, my husband picks up the order and shows my text message with clear instructions. However, almost every time something is still made incorrectly I don't understand why mistakes keep happening when everything is written clearly. One time, the sugar was even completely forgotten
Came here to get a cold drink and we ended up getting Mango slushy and lychee slushy with aloe and it was just okay. It wasn't quite a slushy. Ordered from a kiosk. Service was lackluster. Staff were not friendly. Not even a hello, can we help you. there was no one in line and it was our first time going here and we had a bit of a hard time deciding what to get. The decor was cute. Lots of Pokémon and flowers. The seats were low. Felt like I was going to fall off upon sitting.
Another update! TeaTop is now a sometimes spot for us and we'll only go when we want to treat ourselves just due to the cost of the drink. They are very transparent about their pricing but I'm unsure if they tack on the 4% credit card fee before or after they charge you. But aside from pricing of course, their drinks are generally a hit and service generally quick. Just beware it is located near companies that may do large orders. Last time I came by someone had just put in an order of 15 drinks. So other folks were definitely waiting longer than I did for their drinks as they just had finished putting together that order. But I think due to that, they were a bit flustered in getting the rest of the pending orders together so when they got to mine, they put ice in my "no ice" drink. No big deal. Inside is always quite cute and there are a bunch of tables if you do want to hang out and have your drinks inside or outside. There is limited marked parking but you can always park further and walk in. Again, we'll still come back, but it'll be more when we want a treat.
First time at Tea Top. Two of us ordered: #1 signature alpine green tea with boba $6.95 #19 signature alpine green milk tea $7.45 Boba had to wait 10 min at 1:45pm. Unfortunately, it was too mushy. Tea was avg at best. Unfortunately, over priced for the experience. Easy parking in the plaza.
Overall: 4.75/5 Spacious, love the lunar new year decor (came here in February). Nice employees. If you're not sure what drink to get, you can sample. Boba is well cooked, soft and chewy. Only thing is that the drinks are sweet, so I recommend 50% sweet or lower. If you're looking for somewhere casual or a standard milk tea spot, this is a good place to go. Drinks: . Solid tea shop that is set up to take cute photos! The tea itself is pretty solid, but the menu is a bit oddly organized. I got just the (hot) alpine tea without milk or sugar or boba... cuz it was a cold day and i just needed something to warm me up. The tea didn't come out piping hot and I was actually able to drink it immediately. I kinda wish it was a little bit hotter. I sat down with my friend at one of the tables on the side, which has these decorative walls to allow you to take cute photos of your boba or other stuff. Overall a solid spot with good tea and photo ops!
Very smiley and friendly staff. Will come again! Also the drinks were pretty good! Mango smoothie smelled very good. Easy to find and ample parking. Bright store and very clean and organized.
Overall solid Teatop doesn't pop for me but it's hard to go wrong with the and the rest of my group loved it Menu is about 1/3 milk tea, 1/3 slush, and rest coffee matcha tea etc with lots of flavoring and topping options. They don't have oat milk but there is generally a slush or tea alternative to everything milk. Service is amazing. Super helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. My friend had a lot of questions and was delighted with the answers. Ambiance is great as well. Flowery aesthetic with green walls and dangling plants. Lots of tables to work and that cafe vibe with ambient noises of blenders and drink prep. Really easy to get work done or take a quick call.
It was my first time at TeaTop yesterday afternoon as we were in the area and wanted to give it a try. I ordered #20 which is an oolong milk tea. I asked for 50% sweetness, less ice and with boba as my topping. It was pretty good! It's hard to mess up milk tea to be honest. The boba was smaller than I was expecting but still pretty tasty. The workers were very sweet and the inside of the boba shop was really modern! It is a little bit on the pricey side so I'd consider this as more of a treat once in awhile!
Tuesday promo B2F1 but their price is $0.50 more expensive than the outlet at Newark. I think I will stick with Newark branch. we had matcha latte, red bean slushy and taro milk tea with sago, all were good, but the price is higher, not sure what's making the price different?
My first time here. Due to being a President's Day holiday maybe, the store was short staff. They ran out of boba when I arrived around 4:30pm. The counter lady seemed stressful. My son had a group of at least 12 friends with him. After 15-30 min, I see the staff went from 2 people to five. We did have to wait quite a bit for our drink. However, thankfully my son and his friends were just chatting and sitting down; they didn't mind the wait as they wanted to just hangout. The staff did apologize to us for the wait and offer a free drink to me. That was a nice gesture. Overall, a cute store with inside and outside seating. We would come back.
Pretty great boba spot and we loved their Feng Guo topping. I got their Sun Moon Lake tea and it was super caramelly and creamy. I definitely want to try some of their other popular teas.
Quaint boba shop with lots of pokemon decorations. Guess the person in charge of decor is quite the fan! Gives it a cute little casual vibe with plenty of spots to meet up a friend over. No issues with service in our brief interactions and they were helpful in explaining the actual contents of some drinks (menu ought to list them for clarity). Earl gray 3Q @ 30% sweet - 5/5 Just right on the sugar level, which with all the toppings in the chewy bonanza would've been too much if you added more in the tea as well. The milky earl gray tea is actually quite at the forefront in flavor, so it tasted pretty good in my department. Boba and chewables were all just right and fresh so solid spot to grab a proper tea.

I ordered a darjeeling milk tea, 50% sweet no ice, which cost me $5.74. The cashier who handled my order, Lauren, was very friendly and quick. The shop has cute decor with fake plants, pillows, and some Pokemon-related decorations. The bathrooms were closed to customers at the time. It was barely sweet at 50% which is different than most boba shops I go to (in a good way, though!) and it had a rich flavor of tea. I don't know if their other drinks have as strong teas, but I liked this one. read more

Teatop is one of my favorite boba places even though it's not my ABSOLUTE favorite one. I've visited both this location and the Newark one a few times, and the quality of the drinks is consistent across both locations. One of my favorite drinks to order is Sun Moon Lake milk tea, 50% sugar, pearls and less ice but today I asked my dad to pick up the Darjeeling milk tea with pearls (same sugar and ice levels as above) and it was delicious! He also said that it took less than 5 minutes after ordering to receive the drink so Teatop has fast service. I've tried one of the fresh milk with tea drinks before and it just tasted kind of weird to me so I typically like to get their milk tea drinks. I've never tried their fruit teas before. Teatop is a great place to just hang out and chill with friends since they have a good amount of seating, but since we're on lockdown I will support them by ordering for pickup when I can. read more
Trying this place for the first time. Got here right when they opened and was the first customer of the day. The drinks were ready pretty quick. Ordered the mango green tea and passion fruit medley (both less ice & 50% sugar). I find their drinks pretty ordinary. In particular, the boba was small and rather hard to chew. Reasonable for the price. Got a stamp card so might come back to try a few other flavors. read more
This boba shop is so trustworthy! We ordered 4 drinks and got them in less than five minutes. They also tasted great. I ordered a jasmine milk tea, and the tea flavor was stronger than most boba places (which I love). I also tried my sister's earl grey milk tea, and that one had a distinct (and amazing) tea taste as well. I would definitely go here again. They also had a Christmas tree up and a Pikachu cutout for the holidays - so cute! read more

I've definitely had better matcha lattes. Their pearl matcha latte was underwhelming. The milk to matcha ratio was off; I only tasted milk. Occasionally, I was able to catch a taste of the matcha, but it had a weird aftertaste. The pearls were also small in size and few in number. Their service was very speedy though, which I appreciated. Giving an extra star for that. read more

Decided to try this place after picking up lunch, service was good and a stamp card was being offered. I ordered Fresh milk with sun moon lake tea, with added boba, less ice, 30% sweetness. The drink is good however I was a bit disappointed at the amount of boba that was in the drink. With extra 70 cents, I would appreciate more boba than I got (pic) I am not sure if I will grab drink there again. read more

Tea top is top tea-r! The workers here are super nice and the owner is really sweet, 10/10 customer service. The interior is super aesthetic and a great place to chill with friends. I got the winter melon alpine green tea, 50% winter melon, and Thai tea. Both drinks don't have any added sugar and is great for people who don't like sweet drinks. If you want something refreshing, winter melon lemon or the passion green tea medley half sugar is really good. I'm not a big fan of toppings but the boba, mango pudding, and sago is really good. They have special promotions every month. This month is pikachu themed which is super cute. They definitely know how to keep things fun and interesting. read more

We came here to pass the 45 minute waitlist time for Shabuya. There are four small tables and a couple single seats. I really liked the flavor of their oolong tea. The 100% sugar and ice was not too sweet in my opinion. There is limited parking due to the popularity of neighboring restaurants. However, there are some reserved spots for tea top customers. Best service tea shop that I usually go at least 1-2 times a week. It's convenient that they also have an online ordering system so you can order ahead and still get your stamps in-store. As of 10/13/2021, there is Happy Hour promotion to get double stamps during 3-6pm, Mon~Fri. read more

This is my brother and my go-to spot for boba. I always get the Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3Q, but I get extra boba instead of the grass jelly. I love that I can really taste the tea, and I always get lots of boba and coconut jelly. It's super delicious! My brother likes the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with boba, but today he got the Brown Sugar Jasmine Milk Tea with boba. He said that it was yummy. TeaTop always has excellent service and delicious drinks. We even got a free Pokemon sticker with our purchase! read more

My favorite place to get boba in this area. I always get the milk foam green tea. They only have one size but it is just the right size not too little or not too much. Customer service is always great here. They make the drinks fast and you get your drink in no time. They have a lot of drinks to choose from as well. In Tuesday's they have a bug 2 get 1 free for "Ladys Day". Be sure to get a stamp card too since they do offer those. read more

I dont usually write a review but I met this amazing lady (she might be the owner). We ordered online and accidentally chose the San Jose/Cupertino location. As I am driving from Union City, it will be way too far to drive down to Cupertino to pick up one drink. This amazing lady was super kind and offered to fix it up for me. I ordered #6 Earl Grey Milk Tea w/ 3Q , 80% sugar. This drink is super good. I recommend this place! Give it a try if you are around this area. read more

TeaTop is a great milk tea place whether you're passing through Milpitas, or in my case, finished shopping at the Great Mall! The service was quick with reasonable prices, and they even have a unique take on Taro Milk Tea that I'm eager to try next time. I opted for the oolong milk tea and it's now my favorite flavor. The boba was also the perfect consistency! I highly recommend this place to anyone debating on coming here! read more

TeaTop is located in a small shopping center across the street from a much larger where Big Al's, Best Buy, and other larger retail shops are located. It's right next Shabuya, so a pretty great option after your hot pot night. This TeaTop is similar to other locations as far as the decor goes. There's some small tables in the corner at the front of the store, and the cafe counter top style seating along the walls to one side. It's got that long hallway that leads to the back of the store you'd typically see with boba places. I got a Jasmine Milk Tea with boba. I forgot to adjust my sugar and ice levels, since I wasn't asked to, so it actually came with a bit too much ice in the cup unfortunately. At least the default cup size is a large cup, which is the same large cup at other boba places, so not too bad. The milk tea itself was nice. Not too milky, not to tea-ey, and it all blended well together. I feel that the extra ice probably took a bit away from the overall flavor of the drink since there was a considerable amount of it in there, so next time I go back I'll have to make sure to ask for none of it since they didn't ask on their own. The boba was very nicely done though. The Q factor on the boba was basically exactly as it should be. Nice and chewy, but not mushy. Pricing wise, it's about on par with other places after adding the boba. I did have one issue since I was here with a friend, and when he ordered his drink he told the employee he wanted boba multiple times, and I heard him ask him that. But once his drink was made, it didn't come with boba, and we double checked with the employee, and he looked like he knew he messed up. But instead of resolving the issue, he said, "Oh, if you want boba, it'll be 50 cents more," as if it's our fault he messed up the drink. Paid the 50 cents anyways, but would have been nice if it was just fixed properly, and not put it back on the customer when it was a mistake, or at the very least, an apology would've been nice, but didn't get that either. Oh well. Overall, typical boba decor, tasty milk tea, great boba consistency, decent price, but sort of a mixed bag of customer service on that day. I'm not in this area often since I live in the East Bay, but when I am in the area again, I will give it another shot, but hoping for a better experience with the employee next time. read more

TeaTop is a pretty good choice for boba lovers in the Bay. On January 16th, my significant other and I were on a date, and late into the evening we were craving for milk tea. Most milk tea options were about to close around 9PM, and the ones that were still open were pretty far. We could not afford to drive far because there was a heavy rainstorm in Milipitas at the time. After some quick research on Yelp, we set our sails straight to TeaTop. I got myself an Earl Grey with boba for $4.75, the standard price for a tall boba drink, at default sweetness and less ice. I think it was a fairly competent drink that did its job despite my issues with the lack of tea flavoring and sweetness. It however had the right amount of ice and milk. The tapioca pearls could have been more flavorful; other boba shops soak their boba in some sweet syrup or sugar, so I'd take inspiration from them. I wish I took a picture of the interior of the place. The atmosphere of the place was warm with yellow walls and TVs and reminiscent of the milk tea shops I grew up with. The customer service was friendly. Even though there were only two people, they managed to hold a good conversation with us and was kind enough to let us know that if the drink is not to my liking, we can adjust it with them. I would go back to TeaTop to try out its other options. As of current, I have yet to discover what makes this place stand out above the rest, but I have good faith and respect for this establishment. Teatop was an absolute surprise! The tea place is located by the busy area of McCarthy Ranch that is right next to Applebees and a dental office. It seems to be cramped in between stores with the impression that it is a very small space but inside it was able to accomodate my party of six thirsty people even when there were a lot of customers waiting. They have the best sellers in their menu and these did not disappoint. I got myself a milkfoam wintermelon drink and it was delish. The hubby got the milk tea trifecta and the kiddo got the Earl Gray milk tea with 3Q. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and we will come back again when we get to be in the neighborhood. read more
The first impression was a good one! TeaTop Milpitas is located in the McCarthy Ranch Marketplace, on the northwest side of the 880/237 interchange. It neighbors Mirch Masala Indian Cuisine and Sushi King. This place came highly recommended by a friend who works nearby. He said out of all the new boba joints in the area, this one is the best. Our group came here on July 7th at around 8:30 pm. The small shop appeared clean. Several small tables inside and a few outside made up all the seating. There was a TV near the entrance and their menu was shown on several electronic displays. A stunning wall picture of a Taiwanese tea plantation was the only decoration that caught my eyes. I ordered a Earl Grey Milk Tea w/3Q ($4.75), a Fresh Milk Trifecta ($4.50), and a hot green tea ($3.50). Prices were reasonable comparing to other boba joints in the area. The young cashier was patient, friendly, and helpful. I got my drinks within five minutes. My Fresh Milk Trifecta was on point. The fresh milk wasn't overly sweet. The boba pearls had the right chewiness. The grass jelly had a nice, mild herbal taste. The beans were cooked perfectly. My group seemed to like their drinks as well. I got their pearl milk tea with regular sweetness and ice and thought the drink was very underwhelming! It wasn't that sweet given it was regular sweetness and the flavor didn't really leave any impression on me. Their boba was actually kinda hard so it wasn't chewy at all. All the drinks are served in only one size but I'm pretty sure it's as big as a large size at other boba shops. Parking was easily accessible as well! read more

Went to the TeaTop because of a recommendation from one of my wushu friends. I went for the earl grey milk tea with 3Q (which at the time that I went, it was number 6 on the top 10 menu). If I do remember correctly, they do have stamp cards but since I'm unable to come regularly, I let my friends have the stamp. The earl grey was done perfectly. It had excellent flavor that probably rivaled Sharetea (although I'm unable to compare now haha) and was a subtle love. Their boba is firm and (ooh) probably could be eaten by themselves haha. They also had grass jelly and white jelly in there as well. I love my drink and ... when and if I do get back to TeaTop, I'll probably try two or three drinks. Mwhaha. TeaTop is one of my favorite boba shops in the Bay Area, and I've had a great experience every time! I like how they have one size for all their drinks, which would be considered a large at most other shops. Their tea quality is great and they use real taro (not the purple coloring!) for their taro milk tea. My personal favorites are the Taro Milk Tea w/ Sago, Alpine Green Milk Tea, and the Brown Sugar Jasmine Milk Tea. I've been here before and during the pandemic, and they follow very strict COVID safety measures with only 3 customers in the store at once. TeaTop has great boba, and I recommend checking it out if you're in the area! read more

Do you still do happy hour from Mon - Fri at 3 - 6pm?
Currently as of July 2022, we do not have happy hour. We are planning to bring back some double stamp hours and the buy 2 get 1 during the winter months!
Do they sell tea without any sugar or milk? Just tea of your choosing?
I don't see why not. They have non milk drinks. And you can ask for any % of sugar and ice.
Is this a self-serve boba place?
Self-serve as in controlling how many toppings you get? If so, no--you order at the counter :) But you can still customize your drink in regards to ice level, sweetness level, what type of toppings you want, etc.
Can I bring my own reusable cup?
Yes you can. Just brought my own in. I did not see them use any plastic waste during the drink making process.
How many calories are in the milk foam winter melon drink?
Sorry I have no idea lol I'm sure when you go in you can ask the associate. I don't count my calorie intake, just watch my sugar in take
