I'm not sure about their rewards, for which I have over 1,000 points. I tried to use it for my free waffle, which cost $4.50 with my smoothie, and the custom tip added was $2.45 to my smoothie. I modified the tip to one dollar. My order was declined because the promo rewards were no longer valid, but they were valid on their system. Anyway, the waffle is not free but 1/2 off since the tip was already added. Anyway, I just paid full price for my waffle and smoothie. Pissing me off with false advertisement. read more

Customer service is non existent. There is no sense of urgency in the staff. Staff are always just chatting away. That's why drinks and foods come out really slow. There are plenty of signs up now telling customers to be patient with waiting for their orders, but it's the staff who are taking their sweet time getting through the orders. The owners try to make this place appear Instagram worthy, but the interior looks sticky, greasy and dirty. It never feels clean walking in here. 8/19 Came in for their new launch of Banh Mi. Only 3 vegan options to choose from which I wasn't excited about. Im not a fan of "fake" meat. I'm from SF and is so used to having the legit pork meat or the lemon grass chicken Banh Mi. It took 20 mins, yes TWENTY MINS for my sandwiches to come out. There was no one ahead of me. Upon unwrapping, the sandwiches were soo small. The smallest Bahn Mi I have ever had in my life. About 2 inches wides and barely any stuffings. Really..? $8.99 plus tax for one of these tiny sandwiches. Mine as well go to Chipotle for some filling nutrient dense chicken brown rice bowl. A lot of sauces of which Saracha hot sauce was used which is something that shouldn't be in a Bahn Mi. The radishes and carrots didn't taste fresh. The bread itself was hard to bite into. Too stretchy. Ordered a Dalgona coffee misu with boba. $7.88 Boba: too mushy. Too soft and slimy. Wasn't soak in the fructose solution enough so it wasn't sweet on the inside. Drink took about 10 mins to come. Very disappointed. Overall, I don't get value for your food/drinks. I don't get the positive customer experience. I don't the quality in the drinks. I don't the consistency. A drink can taste different depending on who makes it. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. read more

Came in at 3:30 with my wife to grab boba. While waiting I asked to use the bathroom, the female employee at the front asked the male employee to open the bathroom for me. Instead of opening the restroom he told me that the bathroom is closed from 2-6. Is this really a policy? Seems counter productive to close a bathroom when you sell beverages. I'm posting this as someone that typically doesn't like these tea shop/boba places like all my friends do. But TeaZenTea was a pleasant surprise, even more so since it's the only boba place I know of in my area other than Quickly if you want to count that, I guess. The line when I got there with my family at around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon was relatively short and moved quickly. We ordered our drinks and moved to one of the designated table areas to wait at, which were distanced from each other per COVID protocols. The drinks themselves were pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised. My sister loved her Oreo smoothie. However, both the dragonfruit tea and mango matcha latte were too sweet. They were delicious at first sip but the more my cousin and I drank, the more overpowering the sweetness became. However, I can let it go since our visit here was only to get a sense of this place and the drinks were still good enough that I would come back again and order the same drink but modified with less sweetness. Staff was incredibly helpful with explaining the menu as well as quick and efficient with getting our order out. I have no complaints and considering I'm not a boba shop guy, I consider that to be relatively high praise. I'll be back again soon. read more

Open during Covid. This review is based only off one particular drink: the brown sugar milk creme tea. Blew my mind away, I didn't try the regular boba, instead I had the crystal boba which was still and chewy. Not too expensive for the drinks. Wow this tea place is soooooo good and staff were really friendly when I came in. It wasn't too crowded and the service was pretty quick for a weekend afternoon. Matcha latte: I changed the sugar to 30%, but it was perfect! You can definitely taste the matcha here and the boba was cooked perfectly. Wintermelon milk tea: I thoroughly enjoyed this flavor! I also adjusted the sweetener with this one and it was sweet enough for me without losing it's wintermelon flavor. Highlight: I'd have to say their boba is realllly good compared to what I've had and I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to boba. The space is clean, the staff is nice, and the shop offers quite a bit of seating. They have a pretty big menu, but we zoned in on our choices immediately. Here's what we ordered: Original Creme Brûlée - My friend's first time trying, she really liked it! The pudding part is consistent with what she normally likes. Strawberry Matcha Latte w/ Boba - I didn't get to try it, but it has gorgeous layering. My friend's husband liked this a lot and it's his usual order. Ube Taro Creme Brûlée w/ Boba - This was my order and I thought it was absolutely delicious. The creme brûlée is rich, almost flan-like and the flakes of brûléed sugar mixed in the drink were excellent. The boba was good and the ube / taro was good but everything was clearly outshined by the creme brûlée. Really tasty! You get what you pay for with so much decadence in one cup. Do get it spicy with the sauce and the jalapeños. It's a bit of a jaw workout, but it's the perfect snack version of a banh mi (like the baguettes are "chips" in a way). Probably has the best quality boba I've had. The strawberry matcha or brown sugar matcha is something I didn't find myself ordering at other boba spots but here only. As a matter of fact I'm willing to drive 20 minutes out just to pick up boba here. Service is quick and they actually have a kiosk that works. However I don't think most people know about it or don't want to cut the line when others are ordering. The spot itself is located in a large parking lot far across from a Safeway. The interior is decorated with plants and has a nice finished wall with greenery. You can expect to hear modern music such as K-pop. read more

This shop would have gotten a 4 or 5 star rating aside from a frustrating experience with their bathroom. They're located near the high school and have a sign posted "Bathroom closed 3-5pm". I get it, non-paying high schoolers will overrun & trash it if you don't close it. HOWEVER: We were a table of 2 adults, 5 elementary schoolers who ordered 7 drinks and 2 waffles. At 4:56pm we asked if one of the kids could use the bathroom and were politely refused stating it is closed until 5. Really? With 4 min to go you made a 9 year old wait to go pee? I drive about 20 mins to get my boba from here. I've gone to multiple places, and they are by far the best. Let me tell you...their brown sugar milk tea is THE ONE. No one else can make it like them! Don't even bother trying because I've already done the testing and TeaZenTea is IT! I have tried their taro, surise tea, strawberry milk tea, and matcha strawberry...all pretty good, but nothing beats the brown sugar milk tea with boba pearls. How could it have been so bad that I threw my drink away? We ordered 11 different types of drinks and not one person said the drink was good. This is a bummer considering the first time we went, we thought it was good. And we made a choice between here and happy lemon. I personally ordered the strawberry Matcha latte. It was so bad. One of the orders was strawberry milk... literally that should be milk, strawberry purée and maybe a little sweetener? It was so bad that my daughter couldn't even finish it and she threw it out. The only thing decent about it was the crystal boba. All the drinks were either too sweet, not enough, sweet, or just plain awful. Not to mention the staff was rude. We won't be back. read more
