He correctly identified a motherboard issue, and was able to fix the problem within a few hours. He also cleaned the dust from inside my computer and gave it back to me good as new. Steve is amazing, If you have any problems just come here, don't hesitate. Your device will be in good hands. I came in to get an additional hard drive installed, Steve got it done super quick and with an affordable price. He not only helped me on the fan, but also problem solved some errors for me. My desktop always have an cpu fan error but I never give it much thought. It turns out the person who assembled my desktop for me made careless error and plugged the fan into the wrong place. On top of that, they installed my c drive into the wrong place, so now I have to spend additional money to fix it. It wasn't a cheap assembled too! I should have come here in the first place. Steve offered some solutions, he was really patient and nice. Explained the possible issues that not fixing it may cause, but never pressured me into anything. Schuyler is a pleasant man who might not know as much as he claims. Most of what he did was fine but there was a sticking point with the RAM memory sticks. Apparently he placed the two sticks in the wrong slots and while not fatal, it slowed my PC considerably. He seemed to bristle when I pointed out that there was a diagram for reference on the inside of the case cover. I ended up having another person review Schyler's work and he fixed the error. No, I would not use Schyler again. read more

My dad owns an auto garage and he's been using the same computer since the early 90's for invoicing and customer management. I learned to type on this computer, and, played my first computer game. Dad's critical computer went down because of the power module and we couldn't find replacement parts anywhere. I can tell you that I have had four different computers fixed and upgraded here and I have always been satisfied. He always explains the options, the price range and will show you there and then what your issues are and the possible outcomes. Not a great experience at all. I brought my computer in here because it wouldn't turn on, and it wasn't the battery or the power cord. So the deal with this place is that they need to completely take it apart and it will automatically cost $99. If they can't fix the computer, they won't charge you $99, but there's a catch. My husband found a place that was cheaper after I dropped my computer off at Technoland, and told me to call and tell them we were taking it somewhere else, so I called not 5 minutes after I left my computer there and the owner told me he somehow already had my computer completely taken apart and I would be charged $99 for this "service." I am partly to blame for this because I should have come on yelp or somewhere else to research these places more diligently. Long story short, he said the computer would be ready that day, it wasn't, it took until the next day. He also reformatted the computer and took my Microsoft office set off and said he would reinstall it with "his special format" for $200. He also wouldn't guarantee his work. I brought the computer in because it wouldn't turn on, he said he got it to turn on, but he didn't know what the source of the problem was and he didn't know if it was fixed. For someone that claimed to have been in this business for over 20 years, I would expect a much better knowledge base and better business practice. I hope this helps others out there not make the same mistake that I have made. If it helps any other readers I've heard great things about PC Fixer from some of my colleagues. read more

My external hard drive crashed a couple of months ago and he was able to transfer all of my data to another external. So relieved to have been able to get back all those years of photos and videos.
