It was April 9, 2016 and while passing thru Las Vegas on our Spring vacation my wife and I decided it was time to get the oil changed in our 2000 Toyota Sienna. Ted Wiens on Craig Road was close by so we stopped there. An hour and a half later while we stayed in their waiting room they said it was done, but oh, by the way they had spilled some oil on the motor so they had rinsed it off with solvent so it might smell a while. So, we were back on the road again $58 dollars lighter. The smell of the solvent was overpowering if going less than freeway speeds and as we were camping in it, ended up going to a car wash maybe 2 hours out and with its help got the smell down to tolerable. This was where I noticed that there was a new dent in my car hood. It has sprung up from the hood thru the spot where the hood prop would place it if the hood prop used was a metal rod and someone had tried to slam it shut. The paint was chipped and no way someone that had done it wouldn't have known they did it. My hood had been dent free earlier that morning but proving they had done it, when I live out of state, hadn't seen it done, would have been pointless. It seemed obvious to me that they had put incompetent help on what should have been a simple job and that help had botched the job. read more

Never again! I needed a simple smog diagnostic and possibly repair. I brought my car in at 11:30 am on my lunch and had a co worker pick me up. At 4, I hadn't heard anything. So I called and they said it hadn't even been touched. In 5 hours!! What a waste of my time. Ryan at the front desk told me that there were more important high dollar tickets that were higher on their priority list than a smog diagnosis. I told him I had to pick it up. I go in to the desk and Ryan says to me "hang on one second. There's someone in front of you" (it was just me and him standing there) and a blonde woman he was clearly attracted to came out of the restroom and he took all her info, got her loaded into the super important system. He then proceeds to GO OUTSIDE AND IMMEDIATELY PULL HER CAR DIRECTLY IN. Mind you, my car had sat there for 5 hours. When he came back in I said "hey all I need is keys" and he rudely cuts me off and says "sir. SIR! I'm with another customer". So after going back out to the bay and played Grab ass with some co workers I finally got my keys because he "needed a signature" to release my keys that they did zero work on. Oh and BTW, I had to sign a disclosure that they charge $115 to diagnose anything. So be prepared to pay out the nose. One guy said he was in $3800 in tires they were trying to talk him into. Got an oil chance from them other day, I felt my car drive weirded. Thought because of they rotated tires. They thinks they are smart on how they pick up customers by put nail on customers' tires for us go come back for them. They are screwed up. I won't go back for their services can't trust. read more

I started coming here for I was sold a nice little incentive coupons for an oil change. I never found the staff friendly but more condescending when you present a coupon. I've ignored it for several years but have always felt the desperation to try to make money off customers. I'm in a corporate sales and believe the treatment of customer will have them coming back. The last few times I was there, they broke the battery stem causing me to buy a new battery and other times the staff member forgets to re-activate my suspension and I ended up thinking my SUV needed a 2500 repair. I'm being fair with two stars but it's really 1 star. It's not the name brand but the people that works there could use a little re-training for in comparison to another location, this place would be considered to be employing the bad bunch in the business. Would not recommend this place unless you have no issues and simply need an oil change from a coupon deal. read more

Ok for oil changes and tires, not much else. Took it in or oil change and mentioned that Honda said I needed a tension pulley for the timing belt. Wasn't ready to fix it, but John says don't bring it to Honda, we can fix it. Fast forward to the next oil change and I'm driving on the freeway and check engine comes on and engine is misfiring. Take it in and they run a $100 diagnostic to get the two codes that indicate #1 cylinder electrical issue - plug, coil, wire. He says they can't fix it and I have to take it to another Firestone. WTF and I am going to trust them to replace a timing belt??? read more

I went into this shop to get a tire that I purchased on Amazon installed and ended up paying $80 for this service! Before they did the work they asked me to sign a document that explained the work they would be doing for me and the cost associated with it. The price on that document stated $39.99 so even though I thought it was expensive I still agreed to it because I was already there and I was in a hurry. When the work was completed he came back and told me that they would have to reset my tire pressure monitoring system and that it would be an additional $40. I have since got this same work done at Discount Tire and was only charged $20. This place is only out to get your money and they can't care less about their customers. read more

Both of them helped me to decide what kind of maintenance features were needed for my car (Hyundai, Santa Fe). I got a significant discount on the work done. Never taking my car there again! Bought my tires not too long ago from there, but when I took my car to get an oil change, my car's tires came out with a flat spot. Do I think they did it? When was the last time an oil change took 5 hours to get done? They didn't even call me to pick up the car, I took the car at 12pm so I figure that 5 hours should be good enough to do an oil change! These places are just shady, trying to rip you off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I took my 2003 corvette in to fix the air conditioning system. Right before 100 degree plus days were arriving and the A/C not working. Not good. A couple of shops were booked up, but the ted Wiens shop was able to get to it right away. They found a leak in the condensor, and replaced it, then found that the compressor was not doing it's job. They did not have enough time to tackle the compressor, so I brought it in the next day, and they took care of it. The labor rates are pretty reasonable, but I think the prices they charge on the parts is a bit steep. The shop has a good manager(Harold Adams) that is very positive, and good at solving issues and problems. One of the mechanics had improperly mounted the condenser, and we were able to make sure it got done right. Maybe the mechanic was under pressure to get the job done fast because Me the customer was in the waiting area. The compressor job was a tough job, and the mechanic got it done right. The mechanic seemed to be proud of his work, and showed me that it was all done right. I realy appreciate the guys at this shop being able to take care of my problem in a couple of days. Some shops I have used, would have taken much more time. The overall price for repairs is a bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for. I also appreciate The manager being a positive and proactive guy that helped ensure I got the job done right, and reasonably quick. I dont know how he stays so positive, with the contsant stream of customers, some of which are not so nice. I would recommend this shop to others. They are very well equipped, plenty of mechanics and have a good management team. I am happy, my a/c is working great now. read more

to start off with this disaster, I AM 17 YEARS OLD. i was on that part of town and my alternator went out. Lucky i landed by a firestone when this happened. i had to leave my truck out there for a day, and get it towed across the street for 75 dollars. my worst mistake was taking it to firestone on craig. i just told them to do my ALTERNATER, and possibly my brakes. THE BILL CAME OUT TO 1600 DOLLARS. once they did my alternator, they did my brakes and then this then that then this than that. it doesn't drive any better than it did. now 2 MONTHS LATER MY BRAKES ARE HORRIBLE. sqeaking and grabbing. IM A MECHANIC MYSELF AND I AM DISQUSTED AT WHAT WORK THEY DID, I SHOULD OF HAD IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE FOR ME TO DO IT. now ill be honest, customer service was great, but cheating a 17 year old hard working young man is the worst thing anyone can do. the bill he ran up almost made me want to give them my truck, that i worked so hard to pay for. OH BY THE WAY, they told me i had 4 DISKS AND ROTORS ON MY TRUCK. THEY LIED. i had 2 of them and the rear ARE DRUM. they added that to my bill and left me to pay them, which i am still owing for, IN CASH. we need something to happen, or else i have to keep telling people how much of a scam this place really is. had to have my battery replaced here due to warranty. i dropped it off and had to call them 3 times after 3 hours bugging them to finish it, in the end i was charged almost 90$ for a battery that was supposedly under warranty due to shop fee and disposal i can go to pep boys an get a better deal than this and also awful customer service like i said i had to continue to call to get them to finish the job which is a simple 15min job toke them 4 hours total. read more
