Tekka house is my go to sushi place in Glen Park. Wilson and Alex are fantastic hosts and take good care of the regulars. My favorite is the Chefs Choice Sashimi, Chenery Roll, and Volcano Roll. Agadashi Tofu, Oysters, Agadashi Tofu, and Wontons are my favorite starters. I also appreciate their seasonal fish, like the Halibut they had. Overall, it's the perfect place for friends or going solo.

I love Tekka House! They have the freshest fish, the most unique roll combinations and great service. Don't miss the spicy miso udon noodle soup. Wish I could eat there every night.

There was only one party here when we arrived at 6PM on a Sunday and they had just finished so we had the place all to ourselves. I love the design-Japanese modern. There is metered street parking available, but you don't have to pay on Sundays. We looked at the menu via the QR code and were not prompted to create a profile. You can order online, but our waiter actually took our order which we appreciated. He was very nice and welcoming from the moment we stepped foot inside. I started off with the Ahi Tuna Poke which came with wonton chips. The chips were slightly too oily, and there weren't enough. I finished the chips with about 3 spoonfuls of poke left. The texture of the poke pairs so well with the chips though and the sauce is very flavorful. (A bit too salty once you get to the bottom) The dragon roll had great quality. I didn't need to dip it into shoyu as the sauce was enough. The best part of this was the ginger. I was amazed at how fresh and crunchy it was. No wonder it's offered as its own side dish on the menu! The shoyu ramen comes with thinner noodles than traditional ramen, but they were perfectly cooked. This was my favorite dish.

Ambiance has definitely improved over previous ownership. Ama ebi special is on point. Salmon sashimi & negitori is delicious. Service was friendly. No more outside seating but that means more parking and no place has it all.

A perfect bite - fresh scallops, salmon and avocado!

We live in the Bay Area but drive to SF to eat at Tekka House because we know the fish is ALWAYS fresh, flavorful and the best quality! Our sashimi platter, included 3 types of toro, salmon, hamachi and kampachi - it was so delicious& we completely devoured it all!! We also had eggplant and tofu Agedashi - we also recommend those dishes as well. Chef Wilson and Alex are hard working & dedicated to their craft and always want you to feel welcomed. We highly recommend giving them a try!

    Yum!

Tekka House is perfect for dinner and kid friendly. The interior decor is enhanced by dark woods with Japanese touches, love the indoor base water fountain! Flavors are spot with food and sushi presentation above standard. The chicken dishes are great but try the Sticky Ribs...awesome! Recommend and we will be back.

A surprisingly delicious neighborhood spot. It's unassuming ambiance belies the fact that the food is really good! Don't sleep on the appetizers, as the quickly grilled butterfish, the melty tangy ribs, and the crispy greaseless tempura are a great way to start a meal. Sushi is also very tasty, and the ramen hits the spot also. It's rarely crowded so a great spot to land if you want to grab some tasty Japanese food on the fly. Service is friendly and fast.

    Dragon Roll!

One of the best Sushi and Ramen restaurant in the neighborhood. Delicious fresh sustainable fish that melts in your mouth. Gotta try!

Overall, the pizza was good. My only complaint is that they put a little too much Parmesan on top for my taste since I'm not really a parm person. I found this place through Barstool Pizza Review, so I definitely wanted to give it a shot. I'd give it a solid 4.5-5 stars. I've been trying different pizza spots all day, and I wouldn't say this was the best one I had, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. It was just a good, solid pizza. Next time I'll ask for no Parmesan, and I think that could easily make it a 5-star experience for me. Service was okay. It seemed like they were mostly set up for dine-in, and since there really wasn't anywhere for us to sit, we felt a little rushed. The lady who helped us was very nice, and the gentleman who handed us the pizza was nice as well. The place has a cool neighborhood feel and looks like they may be doing some construction or improvements right now. I posted a few pictures, and I definitely want to come back one more time, sit down, and give it another try.

After a soccer game, or to celebrate something, or just on a random Tuesday night. But somewhere along the way, pizza became a delivery thing. Something to eat when I was feeling lazy. My quest to find the best pizza in San Francisco is reminding me how much I enjoy sitting down for pizza with the ones I love. And Hi Hat is one of the best spots in the city to do that. The people are super nice. There's plenty of space to cozy up, and probably a dozen beers on tap. Good, local beers, like Bare Bottle. Cellarmaker. Ghost Town. And yes, the food is really really good. Especially the pizza. They're known for their spicy vodka and Stracciatella which has this creamy, garlicky sauce...and a slow burn to it. I really enjoyed it. And the jersey pie, which is really all about the tomatoes. My wife LOVED it. I thought it was good....in a simple pleasures kinda way. You can these by the slice, and after 9PM slices are three bucks. But some pies, you can only get whole. Like this sausage and ricotta pizza that I absolutely loved. I'm normally not a ricotta guy - but this was whipped so light and airy...in between bites of salty sausage....I get it now. And of all the NY style spots I've tried on this quest, this might be my favorite crust. I asked their pizza tosser how he does it. It's a five day process, and they keep the dough cold until the second it goes in the oven. That traps the air bubbles inside. And those bubbles are what give it this airy, crispy, fluffy crust. Then he slid a cookie in front of my daughter, and it hit me that this was HER first random tuesday nights going out to pizza with mom and dad...and I know she loved it too.
