Tekka house is my go to sushi place in Glen Park. Wilson and Alex are fantastic hosts and take good care of the regulars. My favorite is the Chefs Choice Sashimi, Chenery Roll, and Volcano Roll. Agadashi Tofu, Oysters, Agadashi Tofu, and Wontons are my favorite starters. I also appreciate their seasonal fish, like the Halibut they had. Overall, it's the perfect place for friends or going solo.

I love Tekka House! They have the freshest fish, the most unique roll combinations and great service. Don't miss the spicy miso udon noodle soup. Wish I could eat there every night.

Ambiance has definitely improved over previous ownership. Ama ebi special is on point. Salmon sashimi & negitori is delicious. Service was friendly. No more outside seating but that means more parking and no place has it all.

A perfect bite - fresh scallops, salmon and avocado!

We live in the Bay Area but drive to SF to eat at Tekka House because we know the fish is ALWAYS fresh, flavorful and the best quality! Our sashimi platter, included 3 types of toro, salmon, hamachi and kampachi - it was so delicious& we completely devoured it all!! We also had eggplant and tofu Agedashi - we also recommend those dishes as well. Chef Wilson and Alex are hard working & dedicated to their craft and always want you to feel welcomed. We highly recommend giving them a try!

There was only one party here when we arrived at 6PM on a Sunday and they had just finished so we had the place all to ourselves. I love the design-Japanese modern. There is metered street parking available, but you don't have to pay on Sundays. We looked at the menu via the QR code and were not prompted to create a profile. You can order online, but our waiter actually took our order which we appreciated. He was very nice and welcoming from the moment we stepped foot inside. I started off with the Ahi Tuna Poke which came with wonton chips. The chips were slightly too oily, and there weren't enough. I finished the chips with about 3 spoonfuls of poke left. The texture of the poke pairs so well with the chips though and the sauce is very flavorful. (A bit too salty once you get to the bottom) The dragon roll had great quality. I didn't need to dip it into shoyu as the sauce was enough. The best part of this was the ginger. I was amazed at how fresh and crunchy it was. No wonder it's offered as its own side dish on the menu! The shoyu ramen comes with thinner noodles than traditional ramen, but they were perfectly cooked. This was my favorite dish.

Tekka House is perfect for dinner and kid friendly. The interior decor is enhanced by dark woods with Japanese touches, love the indoor base water fountain! Flavors are spot with food and sushi presentation above standard. The chicken dishes are great but try the Sticky Ribs...awesome! Recommend and we will be back.

Ribs- mouthwatering meaty melty goodness

A surprisingly delicious neighborhood spot. It's unassuming ambiance belies the fact that the food is really good! Don't sleep on the appetizers, as the quickly grilled butterfish, the melty tangy ribs, and the crispy greaseless tempura are a great way to start a meal. Sushi is also very tasty, and the ramen hits the spot also. It's rarely crowded so a great spot to land if you want to grab some tasty Japanese food on the fly. Service is friendly and fast.

Dragon Roll!

One of the best Sushi and Ramen restaurant in the neighborhood. Delicious fresh sustainable fish that melts in your mouth. Gotta try!

Service was abysmal - 25 minute delay between myself & my dinner companion being served! Salmon was too salty.

The staff behind the counter was friendly and they had quick service despite it being busy. I ordered a draft beer and a cocktail. Both were delicious and the cocktail had a perfect balance of all the flavors! For the kitchen, I ordered the Dino Popcorn Chicken which was a perfect spice. Anything more would've been way too spicy for me. I saw a lot of people order the chicken tenders and wish that I got that too. I will definitely be back and will bring more friends too!!

I think there's even a karaoke night, to boot. though I still miss the Last Stop, Recovery Room has nicely filled in its absence and continues to be one of my favorite bars in this part (Excelsior District) of town.

Team Flats. All day,…read moreevery day. I will kick off my flip flops to defend this. At Foghorn, you have the option to go all flats or all drummettes but what makes this a 5 star business? * Open all day for those who eat at odd hours like at 3 pm. * Shout out to Mary Grace for the wonderful hospitality. She was friendly, warm, and attentive, anticipating our needs by providing takeout containers, bags, and even a small bag for our leftover sauces. She also offered my doggies water. * Over a dozen wing flavors: Buffalo, Nashville Hot, BBQ, Dry Spice, Ghost Glaze, Jamaican Jerk, Pineapple Basil, Honey Crunch, General Tso's, and more. Wings come in set of five for $9.50, +$1 if you want all flats or all drummettes. - We ordered Pineapple Basil, Nashville Hot, Jamaican Jerk, and General Tso's ($9.50 x4) - wings were hot, crunchy, and juicy with the pineapple basil (sweet, herbaceous) and nashville hot (a creeper) being the favs. - Don't sleep on the sides! The fries ($6) were golden and crunchy with a light, fluffy interior, and the coleslaw ($5) was fresh and crisp, tossed in a bright, tangy vinaigrette. * Wings Wednesdays (5 pm - 6 pm): 50 cent wings w/ purchase of a drink. Wings come as a set of five with 10 wings max per drink order. * Not a beer drinker? They have low abv cocktails made from low proof vodka, tequila, etc. Not the usual sweet wine, sherry, or vermouth. * TVs to watch the game with hip hop bumping in the background. * Dog-friendly!

*GIVE ALEJANDRO A RAISE AND PROMOTION*…read more Food: the grilled chicken and rice bowl with the veggies skewers and tzatziki sauce was incredible! Service: Alejandro held it down. The entire place was packed and kept growing and his service NEVER faulted. He has a true talent and such a sweet and kind vibe. I will come back here for the food and beer, but mainly just Alejandro. I felt at home while my dads admitted at UCSF waiting for a lung transplant ‍
